There weren’t 12k Sooner fans. I was there both nights. Yes there are a lot of Sooner fans, there are also a ton of Softball fans from all around. And Texas had a great showing with their fans.

I'm a Sooner Alum, mom and fan but, I can still say about the Texas young ladies that they played exceptionally well and will grow immensely from this. They are good already and the freshman and sophmore players will grow faster, stronger and have a higher IQ as experiene rolls on! Blessings, from a former softball player and athlete and a mom, I'm proud of these girls! Keep that competitive edge! You too are all making this sport enjoyable to watch 🎉

Well I say the Sooners are good but way too much talk about them from the Florida series to the Texas games.
      That’s all they talked about.

Quit making excuses and just do your job instead of complaining. The difference with all these Teams and OU is that you ALWAYS hear Coach Gasso, her coaches and players giving GOD all the glory no matter what. It's not about age or athleticism, God does wonderful things as long as you love and accept him. Take notes MIKE White bc you have a lot of learning to do! The fact that you cuss out your players and push the blame and losses on them is ABSURD. Be a better leader bruh! WCWS in OKC has nothing to do with this HOME FIELD DRAMA, it's been here since I was a kid and will be til 2035. OU players ALWAYS bring the momentum no matter where they are at. Don't make anymore excuses mike just admit you need more JESUS in your life.

OU fan here, i just want to say we're not all classless haha. I applaud Texas, 👏 These Ladies faught hard the entire way, it was a great game to watch, it really could have went either way. Sometimes the smallest little mistake can have catastrophic consequences. I was worried there when you guys had the bases loaded. It was one hit away from taking this game away from us.
I actually truly feel bad, because a lot of these women played great, left it all on the field, they did their job and one little thing just erased all that hard work from being a different story today.
    But keep your chin up.
I think ya'll will be back here next year. It was a great 2 games, and everyone should still feel extremely proud to have the ability to get here at all. Something special is being built there in Texas! Don't be discouraged at all.
Its a game of inches too.
Into the SEC we go, and 2 big middle fingers to the B12 ! Haha i think thats something we can both agree on.

Very classy. As a Sooner fan since 1963 and a Softball fan for 4-5 years, I feared the Longhorns this year. They had a great year and their future is bright. I was born in Texas but have lived most of my life in Oklahoma. I have attended OU twice. UT is me second favorite college for sports. There is no doubt that UT will continue to improve. We must remember that they were #1 seed in this tournament. That says a lot. What we both have to remember is that next year is a whole new ballgame. SEC, here we both come. Hopefully, we will both dominate in softball our new conference. Speaking of pitcher changes, I think both teams should learn from this series. I foresee the future of changing pitchers 4-5 times a game as being the norm. Ok, maybe 2-3. I am very impressed with the young ladies presented in this interview. You too coach!

He felt the need to tell everyone that he was respectful, in his own way. That’s very telling. Got to acknowledge and honor his passion. That said, his most important job is not to win softball games, it’s to help shape young women’s lives. That’s the biggest difference. Patty Gasso understands this, Mike White doesn’t. By the way Coach White, 2 of the most successful OU hitters against the shorthorns were not 23-24 year olds. Parker & Pickering are true freshman.

I know it's a tough position to be in to have to answer mostly rhetorical questions from the media when you've just lost a coveted prize. Never understood why they force teams (by contract) to do this. It's like, "let's just give them one last kick in the teeth while they're still down, shall we?" But, I think it's really sad that Coach White said OU has a lot of superstars and his team doesn't except for perhaps Reese Atwood. He also said he didn't have a deep pitching staff to rely on like OU. Really? Kavan, Morgan, Gutierrez, Czech, Simpson have all impressed and dominated on more than one occasion. As for superstars, personally, I think he has several who have shone brightly for years and a few new stars this year. How can you say that Teagan Kavan and Citlaly Gutierrez are not superstars after what they accomplished this season--pitching Texas to the finals? Yes, Mia Scott made a tragic base-running error in this last game, but she's been a rockstar for years; as has Bella Dayton and Alyssa Washington. Bella always amazes me (and worries me because I'm an OU fan). Mia Scott annoys me with her game-running prowess, but I'm always so impressed with her unconventional moves that I wish OU would copy them! Texas is full of superstars. Just because they didn't shine as brightly in the last two game as they did the entire season is no reason to count them out among those who should be acknowledged as true stars and gifts for the Longhorns. Much respect to them all. Like Coach Gasso said, "Texas brings out the best in us and we can always count on a good game." That says a lot about an opponent.

@paulmichaels4196 Spoken like a true basement troll. Blame it on one singular play.
But ok Paul. We'll do it your way and just overlook the 16 freaking runs in two games that OU scored against the Texas pitching.

“The” reason? You really need a scapegoat to cope. They lost two games by 4 and 5 runs.

The reason Texas lost was because they couldn’t score more than 8 runs lol

Did Mike White just throw his pitching staff under the bus? They are good as a staff but not good enough individually? Um... who is that on, Coach? Who is responsible for not developing other pitches in your staff, Coach? Also, Mia Scott's critical blunder connects to coaching. She was doing that herky-jerky movement two years ago. Texas paid the price for it tonight.
