Originally, Tom & I recorded this footage for Steam Next Fest, but then we figured why not upload it to CZcams as well :D Watch me build two 15-minute'ish dioramas, where I show the tools and some building tips & tricks. I hope you enjoy and maybe pick up a few techniques 😄
Happy building!
Love,
Ana & Tom
I love how a game can simply be a toy. No goals, no stress, just relax and create something beautiful. You guys have made something really great here. I hope it comes to Mac in the future.
Ah I was thinking this same thing but wasn’t sure of the right way to word it! That’s definitely how this feels, it’s just a simple fun innocent toy. Not enough of that sort of thing in the world
@@0kieD0kiee Steam has been flooded with games like that over the past couple of years.
Also really hoping it comes to Mac :)
Fantastic work Anastasia, been following Tiny Glade for what feels like a couple years now. Can’t wait to try it out
we need fireflies who come randomly at night, and also butterflies and birds maybe the day, just adding more live to the nature, the game is so cool, great job !!!
Also it would be nice if we can walk around what we built or can we?
@@Levi_voltia you can in photo mode
it got added
I spent 4 hours playing the demo last night. After waiting years and years for this game, the demo was actually everything I’ve been wishing for. I cannot wait for the full game.
Played it for at least three last night, then kept booting it up every time I learned a new trick. Will buy instantly.
Love how community-focused this development process has been! And props to you for leveraging the FOSS Bevy engine! 😃
I launched the demo earlier thinking I would check it out quickly before gaming with some friends. Ended up zoning out for a while and was shocked at how layered and intuitive the building is already. I hope the game blows up and can't wait to see how you guys shape it in the future!
I had way too much fun with the demo, can't wait for the full release!
Having unlimited space, would also be cool in the full game, because you could build an entire City or something like that. But really cool game so far
You can already make a pretty dense tiny village in the available space, probably will be easy enough to make a sprawling little city in the full space
I didn't see much reasoning behind limiting the building space in the full game aside from maybe optimization. If they want to nudge you into building more detailed things on smaller spaces, than unlimited space could be locked behind an option or something. I hope they don't completely exclude the possibility of an unlimited space or a very huge building space.
@@meucelularkrl my thoughts
I am absolutely loving the demo already. One thing I wish it had is the option to place a window/door on a flat floor/roof and it becoming a trapdoor. It would be an awesome way to make these "empty" roofs accessible without another building on top.
Just to let you know, I downloaded the demo yesterday. I absolutely. Uncatergorically. Love it. I am obsessed. It's absolutely enchanting. I am so excited for the full game. (If you're looking for suggestions from players - which WHY would you we're idiots - I would love the option to drop in different ambient animals, like the sheep, birds maybe, rabbits maybe, maybe even people who can go in and out of the doors. However, I am not a Game Scientist, and you know the vibe you're going for.) Love you. Hope it changes the world and solves war. (Edit: OH. And chimneys. ilysm)
Foxes!! I'd love foxes in the autumn glade
Chimney would be great! I also thought that it would be such an amazing thing if you could stroll around
@@ohlavash543 In a way you already can, when selecting the camera type there are three options, one of those is supposed to emulate a first-person view from the ground. Unfortunately it clips through buildings, only considering the terrain as de facto "ground".
Little NPCs to inhabit the diorama would be amazing, ngl. Even if it's something that only exists in photo mode. E.g. scale NPC density up/down. If you have a line of laundry, you might get an NPC spawning there with a laundry basket, or shaking out a sheet; if you have a garden, maybe you get an NPC with a rake or garden hoe; if you have a tower with a flat surface and a parapet facing outwards, maybe you get a guy standing guard; etc.
I found the demo for this game earlier today and I'm so excited for the full release. Usually, I think these games are cute but am not really that bothered, but something about this one is really just so lovely. Having the different camera modes so you can sort of explore the scenes too is such a nice addition. I know it's not really a simulation game, but it would be really nice if, someday, we could walk into the buildings and see an interior, or make a huge building and actually have people spawn in to go from place to place.
Anyways, adorable game, thank you for sharing it with us :D
A life simulator in this style would be absolutely INSANE!!! I would literally never stop playing…..
I cannot describe how anxiously I have been waiting for this game. It feels like years ago I saw a clip of a floating sheep and instantly wishlisted. I got the demo today and already have 5 hours in the game HELP.
I'm obsessed! I hope once the game is fully released, you'll continue to add customization options! I cannot wait.
Love the way she says “yeeeah” 😄
Cute!
there is so much love and aesthetics in this game, i could cry every time i build a tiny glade
Amazing what it has become Anastasia!
This game looks really good. A great way to relieve stress at the end of the day.
I played the demo for like 20 minuts and I understood very quickly that this game is amazing. Can't wait to see the final game! ❤️
This project just keeps putting me in awe. 😍
From seeing the first bits of the adjustive generation back on Twitter and with that being hyped from the get go, to the beauty of the camera mode here.
I LOVE how much care you guys put into this game. Can't wait for the final release!
Only 5 minutes in, and my jaw has been dropped the entire time. Those contextual tools are so damn smooth, holy crap! I'm downloading the demo and I'm so excited for the full release!
I'm going through some dificult stuff right now... The moment I started Tiny Glade demo and heard the music and the sounds of the game along with the cozy artsy graphics, I could not help but smile a little (which is rare for me lately). It literally reminded me how easy it can be to feel joy under the right circumstances. So thank you. Very much looking forward to the full release
I'm absolutely enthralled with this game! I already have 4 hours invested, and it's just the demo! I also love that you call it "a castle doodling game" - I can literally doodle with these tools and get a castle, or a wee village, or a country home with a couple of outbuildings, and it's just so **satisfying**. And all this on one tiny circle of space! I'm eagerly awaiting the day I can get the full game. All those different "biomes" to use, plus extra things like paint colours and fences and water and whatever that thing is that's hiding behind the lock that we can't see.... so excited. :D I've seen some a-maze-ing builds and building methods that the community has figured out already just with these basic demo tools. You really have a winner here. When you give players a game that is so intuitive, open-ended but with a certain vibe... dang, that's a winner. :)
aaaaaaaaa, this is so pretty :) can't wait for the full game to be out :P
I only made it 4 minutes in before I got the urge to jump back into the demo and play more myself. Love the game!
I've been having so much fun playing the demo! I love how building this way has the feeling of something being discovered. Its amazing to me how complex I can make my diorama with so few tools. It really fosters creativity, exploration and experimentation! The photo mode adds another layer of creativity as well, looking for just the most perfect shot! Thank you for such a beautiful game!
I am amazed by a video showing a demo, however, I find that the blue filter of the night greatly harms the atmosphere of the night ^^, if ever, an option is added with "natural" colors of the night I will take! Thanks for reading, and see you next time for its release!
I'm in love with your game, is such one of a kind. Thank you so much!
Best regards from Argentina!
I got this demo a few days ago and have been playing with it in the evenings. I am absolutely loving it so far and can't wait for the finished version. Great work!
Idea: maybe add that we can change the height of the wall in different places, because maybe i want it low on the left side but higher on the right
Idk if you’re talking about a gradient but for more of a stepped approach you can!! Check out some other demos by other youtubers they should have a demonstration there
This is looks indescribably cute, absolutely cannot wait for the full game 🎉
It could be very interesting to be able to change camera's perspective (topdown view) and see the blueprint of the building Thanks again guys !
You guys are amazing! Thanks for sharing your passion
I'm obsessed with this game already and I haven't even played it yet!😍
You have made such a beautiful game, your attention to details and QoL is noticeable and appreciated. These buildings are so inviting and believable, I cannot wait to see what the community builds with this fantastic game/toy/tool.
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO RUIN THIS GAME FOR ME.
When I saw released demo, we started to stream immediately (on my second channel). I am very small czech creator, but we enjoyed every minute in your demo. :-)
The vibe is amazing. Tools looks great. Might doodle a bit with this . Something that would be a cool feature would be if you could extract the meshes into a file for a 3rd printer or something. Then you could make really cool village prints for D&D and such.
I just tried the demo, is beautiful and relaxing. I can't wait to get rhe full game.
The graphics are amazing. Kudos to the artists!
the passion we can all feel through the screen is palpable!, i'm on a mac so unfortunately I will not be able to play but maybe one day I can! Love you guys!
Really looking forward to this game its a definite buy for me! I loved Townscaper and am currently playing Dystopika!
Gosh the detail in this game is astonishing. Looking forward to grabbing!
This is so pretty, this game fulfills my cottage-living fantasy 😍😍
What a beautiful creation! Such a happy and peaceful game, Much love for this
I found out about Tiny Glade through TikTok, and for the first time in a long time was I excited to play this. I came back from work and had such a tough day I turned on my computer and spent hours relaxing with this game. I thank you and Tomas so much for making such a beautiful game (and I haven’t even seen the full scopes of it!). I look forward to giving this game the utmost support and please keep doing what you’re doing.
This is so well made. Very charming and neat. I usually play action games on the pc but having seen this got my creative side fired up and I ended up downloading the demo and might get the full thingy as well. Thanks a lot and again, very well made.
This looks amazing! So many fun little tricks! Been enjoying the demo, can't wait for the full release!
I missed the demo :( I love this concept! I love huge medieval fortress towers; it would be nice to be able to build a Barad-Dur but in a Mediterranean style with towering Grecian pillars gracefully melded into arches topped with Roman pediments crowned with concrete domes or something like that to cater to the inner dark lord. Being able to take in to account all the rules of thumb like dividing arches in to thirds to get appropriately sized stone supports, the golden ratio, etc would be so cool, too. This is the closest I've seen to being able to build anything like a proper fantasy fortification.
this is really nice ! i just tried out the demo for a little under half an hour and it's really good !! i gave a bunch of feedback, basically all that i could think of ! this game is looking amazing
Something i didn't see in the demo, nor any hints about it being in the full release, was a terrain flatten too. It would help a lot on some instances where doors have a tiny part suspended due do uneven terrain.
Extremely clever and powerful tools combined with beautiful visuals. You've done an amazing job with this!
I found your game on steam a few months ago and instantly fell in love. I am so glad to see that the demo is out!
Thank y'all for creating this game; it's really simple and lovely and enjoyable and the vibe is so chill.
I just came here to comment to boost
Have great success with this very cute and chill game!
Thanks for the amazing video. Lots of magical possibilities for creative castle building. Tiny Glade is my favorite game.
im in love with your game!!! The demo is so much fun and im so excited for the full release!
i think it would be really cool to be able to control the camera with a space mouse. The game is amazing btw, cant wait for the extended building ground
I enjoyed the video and you really had me at the parachuting sheep. All of the attention to detail is great!
I'm loving the demo, looking forward to the game! 💖
Super excited for this game! Amazing work ❤
Amazing game, thank you so much for Tiny Glade made with so much love 💕
Just wanted to say, I love it and I've been waiting for this game for a while. And Hi from Indonesia❤❤
This game beautiful! I’m looking forward to see how it will be expanded in the future!
Id love to see more emphasis on the interaction between elements, (Ik theres already a lot but) I miss the way walls used to be able to become turrets and houses when they joined together, and I feel that haveing this and the option to remove a house's roof entirerly could really bring an emphasis back on the ruin doodling that I fell in love with when I found your first ever devlog! I love this game so much though, I love the way you can just hang out in it and chill in the perfect vibes! ❤❤❤❤🫀❤❤
Edit: Im not sure if this is just for the demo, however I miss the way the walls would have gates and become fences when they were short enough, and the way it could do so very much with about 3 tools, but now I just sound like an old man lol "back in my day!" I do really ador the game!
Looks amazing!
I can't wait for this game to fully come out!
Also if ever you plan on releasing other games in the same genre in the future, one where we could choose between Arabic/Egyptian/Indian palace architecture (with desert/oasis environments), and one where we could choose between Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Southeast Asian architecture (with zen/cherry trees/moss/mangroves/etc. environments) would be amazing as well!
I love the artwork and how effortless the controls seem, but I know myself well enough to know I won't enjoy this without a goal to work towards. It's the one thing that keeps me coming back to Dorfromantik: the scoring.
It'd be perfect to be able to export the diorama/castle/glade as a 3d model for 3d printing. Maybe with couple of options for better printability - without the bushes, trees, lamps (separate objects).
4:25 that is a tower when you lifted it and "this row of bricks" that 4:33 is a turret. (I study Medieval England and thus Medieval architecture).
Quoin Stones are a Renassance invention in the Medieval period they used buttressing and flying buttressing Quoin stone largely replaced buttresses.
17:41 loving this so far if this comes out for Xbox I'll defiantly get it, what I was gonna say is thats the perfect example of the difference between a tower and a turret the structure hanging off the edge is the turret.
23:23 you have Crow Stepped Gable, Gable and Hipped roof in your game but that shorter width wall lets say if you extended that one wall up theoretically you'd create whats called Half Hipped roof/Clipped roof/Jerkinhead roof. this roof design is a blend of the gable roof and half hipped roof in one. The benefits of both.
Will there be dome shaped rooves for like an observatory vibe? Or like glass walls, doors and rooves for like a greenhouse, would also love to see different colour flowers and maybe hanging plants
Love the demo, can't wait for full game. My only request would be for our plots to be bigger so we can build even more :D It's addictive
I would also love that, even the full game plot seems a bit limited.
this looks amazingly peaceful
This games gives me the childhood wonder feeling I got from lego
Can't wait for the full release. I played a lot of survival sandbox game like valheim & vrising. This game could be my go to for prototyping my build on thoose more demanding game. While also enjoy the proses of designing it
This may sound weird, but I am very picky with what I build in minecraft and this is very helpful for planning builds, such a time saver and a great not just a cozy game, but a tool for other games and projects as well! Waiting for a full release.
Can't wait for the game to release!
So impressed by the smoothness of all the interactions! Wow! Completely blowing my mind (I'm a mobile developer). Wishing you lots of success with this gem!
On iOS, this would easily win Apple Design Award!
Give me an option to haunt my structures with little ghosts and I think you've got a customer.
This game looks cute! You guys have done an amazing job.
Hey Ana, loved your game . I have spent more that 5 Hours of gameplay and have uploaded plenty of videos.
keep up the community guided development. Thanks for your Reply to my Email.
Can't wait for the full game.
I feel the "stone" is more of a pattern or texture and should be separated from colors.
So like when you select the Color icon it would give you 3 options: Texture, Pattern, Color.
Choose a texture such as stone, wood, brick, etc. Choosing a pattern would alter the stone, wood, or brick layout, grain, etc.
Amazing work guys ! I think this game could be really cool for comics creator or writers
24:21 that room is for the domestic elfes!!
very impressive.
I love it
An 3D export function would be amazing. It would be cool for 3D printing
THE GAME IS SO CUTE BUT ALL I WANT IS WATER, I WILL LITERALLY PAY FOR WATER!!!
Love it! Would love to see a fully fledged Settlers type game like this.
Hello there, first of all, great game! Been waiting for this since the first trailer, played the demo, can't wait for release, love it! ❤ I had one idea while playing the demo though: A sharing feature would be so cool! So that you could weather share your creation simply so your friends can download it. Or maybe that you could easily download an extraordinary build from a famous youtuber (if they so desires to make their creation sharable). The shared creations section would probably need a search function then, so that you could look for said youtuber's name then ... might be a lot of work, probably absolutely not feasable for the full release. But in the long run such a feature could help the community to grow, so ... make of that idea what you want, but I would totally love such a functionality 😅 Anyway, take care and good luck with your game launch!
Beautiful
this game is pure bliss 💕🌸🍃
This game looks so cute and pretty ❤❤❤
I wonder if there'll be different building styles. Maybe that'd be a dlc lol
Hey, Ana. I remember your course on the lake houses. At this stage, it looks like it went too far. 😃
Id love for the editing icons for scale and trasforming to feel more tactile, popping and making noises, and have different colors for each editing control type. I have sensory processing issues and this would very much help me feel in tune with what im doing.
The plsin white icons will get muddied and forgotten in my memory, and the sound will help if im playing on controller and need to be a bit more deliberate and know when buttons are pressed.
I'm so in love and it's just the demo! I can't wait to make a lovely village, it's amazing how many things we can make with just a few tools in demo. Lovely ♥ Is there any chance we will get npc walking around? ♥
beautiful
Made a couple of nice little places last night; now I’m sad that I don’t live in them
Great video and a wonderful game (gem) like nothing else out there.. I m a fan of Townscape but this is by far greater than Townscape. Really can’t wait for release.. keep up!!
I really love this game, I’m part time builder/renovator of old houses in Europe. This is the game I needed!!!
I saw it was only in PC, do you plan on making a mobile version?
Thank you for making such a chill “game” that has such infinite contente! The perfect building sandbox!
Psst… i don’t suppose maybe in the future we could get a really big building area?? This looks amazing and wonderful
I wonder how hard it would be to program in tiny people that live in the buildings you build..? Tiny people you can interact with like the sheep, who walk the paths, use the buildings, do the washing, tend the garden, fix the roof, etc. Maybe an idea for a DLC. Like Townscaper, I think the sandbox will have very little staying power without an end game purpose; no matter how pretty they look, empty buildings are, after all, empty
Amazing❤❤
