  • In this video, I show you how to replace your worn out window channel guides and/or weatherstripping. It is important to replace these to prevent any water or moisture from getting to the internal part of the door, potentially causing rust. It's also to prevent any rattling of the window :)

    Thank you so much for the video I’m restoring a 78 custom deluxe and I’ll have to replace the window channels and everything soon after I finish with the body work. I’ll be watching this video more once I start working on mine. Thanks again man

    I Have a 1982 Chevy k10 and the rubbers seal in the vent window came in pieces I still have a piece to pulled out from the bottom
    I might have to remove the vent window out to take the piece out

      I'm certain it's the same. Maybe someone else can be more sure.

      @@dadakingso is the door glass run and the window post liner basically the same weatherstrip or look the same? Just different lengths? I ordered some for my K5 but it looks like I may need to cut into length since they only seem to have c10 style only.

    Hi, I have installed the rubber and my windows are stiff to run up and
    down is there something to do to make the window running more smoothly?

    • @dadaking
      @dadaking  Před 3 lety +3

      Triple check to make sure all the seals are sitting correctly in their grooves. Then, I'd take the door panel off and closely look at all the moving parts, make sure there is no binding. Lastly, I'd spray on some dry lubricant on the lateral seals, making sure they are compatible with rubber. Good luck!
