  • This is me trying to carve a dragon egg. I feel like it might came out looking a bot too much like a pinecone, but it was a fun project :)
I hope you enjoyed watching this. I have made a lot of subscribers lately and i just reached 6500 today which blows my mind! Thank you so much for that!
Looking forward to start the next project. perhaps it will be a dragon skull?

    It's beautiful.
I'd love to see one hollowed out, a baby dragon just poking his/her head out, with a bit of the shell as a hat.
    I'm whimsical. ❤

I think making the bottom less flat and the top less pointy would making it more egg shaped and less pine coney

Fascinating how you have the idea that dragons have eggs that look like Pine cones!!! You went to a lot of trouble this time Jonas, I particularly like the very stylish stand you put your Dragons egg on. I have never watched Game Of Thrones so I didn`t know what to expect, but I like the idea of dragons, just wouldn`t want to meet one, see you on the next one, regards from John in England.

Very cool. Better than I pictured in my head but with the detail work on the egg I suggest not to sell it in yellow. It may get confused for a pineapple lol. Unless you tweak it to give it some cracks as if the dragon is hatching. Maybe even show a claw. Either way it still looks cool. This is what I love about wood, the markings are going to make each one unique no matter what.

What is the most delicate thing you have had to carve out? Have you ever tried flowers? For example Iris flowers come in every color of the rainbow and would love to see your take on that or a peacock that one would be a cool one as a tourquoise pendant.

No offence before you painted it, it looks like a pine cone ( my idea of a pine cone ) not a dragon egg and again afterwards it's not the best resemblance of a dragon egg. It lacks the depth and light veiny effect a dragon egg should have.( again my opinion). I do have to give it to you, your patience with this project is astounding, ( I personally couldn't do any better, I've never tried any of sorts in my life ). So I congratulate you friend.

Jonasolsenwoodcraft Those 100 years will fly by. Then you'll have a nice little baby Dragon. Better start thinking of names.

Jonasolsenwoodcraft lions are kinda my favorite animals and seeing your skill i tought it'd be an awesome outcome🤘
I wanna start doing these things too but the tools are kinda expensive here in the netherlands 😜

A dremel 3000 is fairly cheap. It can be a good way to start or you couel just go ahead and get a whittling knife. You can build your skills without expensive tools
