- The 2021 Toyota Vios is one of the most boring cars in the car industry. It's reliable, dependable, and gets the job done without any fuss. There were efforts to spice it up locally with the Vios Cup, but still, it's "appliance on wheels" status remained. It doesn't get the sporty street cred of the Honda City, or even the smaller Toyota Wigo. However, with Toyota moving more and more towards fun and sporty, this 2021 Toyota Vios got styling and design cues from the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris. In this Filipino car review, we check out the 2021 Toyota Vios GR-S, or Toyota Vios GR-Sport, and see what sort of goodies they added to the Toyota Vios. has it finally grown into an actual sporty subcompact sedan, or is this Toyota's way of milking more money from it's die hard Toyota fans?
The 2021 Toyota Vios GR-SPORT goes up against other subcompact sedans like the honda City RS, the Kia Rio, and even smaller crossovers like the Geely Coolray, the Chery Tiggo 5x, and the GAC GS3. The GAC GA4 also falls within it's price level.

Honda City RS has a Carbon fiber skid plate effect. Remote engine start! Smoke LED back Light!! Even in side mirror!
No air vent and usb socket oh, and no demo but still using driving!! So not brand new when you buy that unit you drive.

Toyota should have redesigned the interior of the GR Vios a little bit, because when going inside it, you can still feel like you are sitting or driving a pretty regular Vios.
I am more attracted to performance and interior of the car compared to the exterior so ill still go with the base corolla.

vios gr sport looks awesome, but on for rugged road area. or some blind spots on the road where the front bumpers may or might be wrecked.

as far as i know the next vios to be released is just the same engine displscement but toyota will installed turbo and upgrade with higher horsepower..

I feel like the black colour does a disservice to the nice bodykit, can't see the details, in Malaysia it comes with red and white only FYI and also we get 17 inch wheels instead of 16 inch

You all hate the vios, it's a taxi case, you have nothing to buy. You all bash the vios, the beauty of the vios is what you don't know, it's reliable and durable and saves on gas.

City RS has a nicer cabin layout being an all-new model. Still a good effort for the Vios though.

pero sadly facelift lang with no other improvements. new face but same mediocre wigo-level build quality, loud nvh, weak engine, bouncy ride, cheap interior, poor handling & comfort, etc. mirage is no competition to any of the subcompacts.

Whenever i see a vios first thing in my mind is it's cheap, family car, company car, and Taxi. Sorry not a fan of vios :), Respect my own opinion.
