Bel Air is a neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles, California, in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains which was founded in 1923. The community was founded in 1923 by Alphonzo Bell. Bell owned farm property in Santa Fe Springs, California, where oil was discovered. He bought a large ranch with a home on what is now Bel Air Road. He subdivided and developed the property with large residential lots, with work on the master plan led by the landscape architect Mark Daniels. He also built the Bel Air Beach Club in Santa Monica and the Bel Air Country Club. Bel Air is filled with some of the biggest, most luxurious homes Los Angeles has to offer. After all the large houses, this one seems "normal sized" ... and it's still a really large place compared to what most people have. One thing that surprised me about the house was the placement of the stairs and the upstairs hallway. The way it's set up now, the hallway is along the pool and the bedrooms have their windows facing the neighbors. I would have thought the hallway would face the neighbors and the bedrooms would overlook the backyard so they would have privacy.
I wouldn't mind being in quarantine here.

This is one of my favourite houses I've seen on CZcams. I love the minimalistic design and the surrounding greenery. I was thinking the only thing missing is a space to set up a mini-gym and 10 seconds later you showed the guest house area. Even though you mentioned its an office I think it can also be a mini gym/wellness area as well.

Whoever built this home really loves what they do. The detail of how well the air conditioners are tucked away is an A++++++. Bse sometimes people dnt give much value to things like that! I love the openness of the house, the simplicity and the layout except for one thing - the kitchen cabinetry. The faux grain pattern destroys the calmness and fluidity of the house.

This house makes me think of the Art Deco of Miami in the 1980's - picking some of the stronger themes of a style that can't be applied naturally to the scale of modern homes.
