How come when I do this my hair just gets

You might be doing a half turn and not full turn, that happened to me
You forgot to turn the iron on 😅😂
Give 2 turns to your straightner
Step 1: take small section of hair into the straightener
Step 2: twist your straightener

Your first flat iron curl video was the one I learned by. Thank you! That technique is my go to when I'm in a hurry. I can do it faster than a wand. Also comes in handy when going on vacation and only having to bring one tool. 😊

Any idea why doing this straightens my hair? lol I have the technique doen pat, but for some reason my hair responds to the smoothing power of the iron and just makes it flat and smooth with no curl in sight! A bit of a wave that is mostly to my desperate twisting motion directly adter releasing it though! Sigh. I would love to be able to get the smooth curls this method promises to provide but it seems to be either curling iron for curls, or straightener for straight hair :(
