As much as I like Logic, he isn't even in the same realm as Kendrick
adam diggle Kendrick is not even that good he's overrated asf 😒
Yeah Kendrick is on another planet than Logic lol
Bison Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper of this generation!
Kronos bullshit, he's just overrated 😒 he's not even that good lyrically, there's literally a song on DAMN of him saying "beat your ass" for like 3 mins. "Beat your ass if I beat your ass" shit's cringy.
jesus man, he uses the repetition to make a point. I will agree DAMN isn't my favorite album of his, GKMC and TPAB are his best works in my opinion. But the song FEAR is definitely not cringy. Well I guess it is to you...but the repetition is used with a poetic purpose, not just to fill space like many rappers we both know.
This dude said Kendrick ain't no Logic... shoot me
Michael Coletti 😂
Michael Coletti hahaha fr wtf
Lmaoo ikr
LOOL Gotta forgive him he isn't a Hip Hop fan.
Michael Coletti lmaooo
Kendrick ain't no Logic.....throw the whole video away
Kathrina They don’t know hip hop at that point in time. Watch other videos and they even realized that Logic is biting his style. They even know the control verse and Blaccer the Berry now.
domt be so square my man, understand why the guy said this
😂😂😂😂fr Logic can have a seat
I like Logic, but Kendrick is a million times better it not a debate. Logic has great flow an delivery but Kendrick can tell you a story like no other as well as have great instrumentals and multiple flows and styles. Logic has the same style 90% of the time.
as much as i like logic, this is true as fuck
K1NG FalconGaming how much a dollar cost
Not to mention logic is very clearly influenced by kendrick himself. The switch up in 44 more is his attempt at this song
Logic rips off every rapper thats better than him. Including kendrick
Kendrick is an absolute master. Everything flows so well and still tells a real story
" Kendrick ain't no logic "
Seriously....!
SERIOUSLY .....!!!!!
KILL ME ALREADY
amal ronaldo eh considering they are newbies to the genre, I’m not gonna hate on that opinion
Another tear falls hearing that
They’re metalheads, cut them some slack. They’re just new to the genre
its the complete other way
He said he needs time. I can see why he would say that. Logic comes off as really smooth and crisp to the non hip hop listeners since he has a fast flow.
Logic is an easier rapper to like at first, Kendrick is a little more of an acquired taste but he's amazing and way ahead of Logic
yep
A lot of what Kendrick talks about is him as a black men apart of black culture, true hip hop. It isn't something that everyone can get which is why his mainstream songs are more known to non hip hop fans first.
My name Kendrick is without a doubt the best rapper alive.
I wouldn't say Kendrick Lamar is an acquired taste.
Mmmm…. Gonna have to disagree… Logic wordplay is much better
You should’ve started with good kid maad city. That album basically inspired logics first album.
FriscoFlo Logic sampled 2 songs 😒 2 FUCKING songs (not to mention he just sampled the drum pattern, and Kendrick doesn't own that shit, he sampled it too from "use me" by bill withers) that doesn't mean the entire album is inspired ffs.
That Guy are you seriously gonna act like I didn't explain that Kendrick doesn't own those drums and he sampled it too?
Bison fax
Bison Cmon dude I’m a big logic fan, but there’s no doubt Kendrick heavily inspired UP. The concept is very similar. There’s a reason UP is referred to as the “poor man’s GKMC”
FriscoFlo I've literally never heard anyone referees to it as that, and let's be honest. GKMC is heavily *Overrated.
they dont even know that logic stole kendrick's style
JanuaryARTS ^
They not familiar with the genre this is first exposure I just enjoy their reaction and curious on how they receiving the song
Lol i know almost cried hearing that
How would you expect them to?
JanuaryARTS Logic steals everyone's style cause he doesn't have one. Nigga got cornier over the years
Fun fact: the second verse, after the beat drop, was written and recorded before the beat was made. Kendrick sent the verse to Mike will made it, with the simple instruction to "make it sound like chaos"
One thing you guys miss from watching the video rather than listening to the actual song is just how the beat changes in the middle of the song. Makes the song just that much better.
VZA Did you know that the beat changed because Kendrick was in the booth and WOULD NOT stop rapping? The producer pretty much came up with something on the SPOT if I’m not mistaken.
Writer B I did not know that. One of the most incredible beats of the year was created on the fly? That's awesome.
VZA Yeah Mike Will Made It gets more respect from me for that.
Writer B really? how do you know that?
Pika Chu About a year ago I think I saw the Interview on VladTV
"I feel like I've been spoiled with logic" ; I obviously respect your opinion but it does show your lack of awareness, logic is good, but not even close.. at all. Keep up the learning process tho!
liquid it's not even a knock on logic either it's a testament to the kind of artist Kendrick is
"Kendrick ain't no Logic"
"6ix9ine has the best delivery"
Please kill me.
lmmfaoooooo like wtf
Logic isnt even the same god damn conversation as Kendrick Lamar , hes an all time rapper and Logic isnt even close to being an all time great rapper
J Alves a lot of people don't know hip-hop. They gravitate to what's familiar. such as the color of the rapper. That's why you have Macklemore, Iggy etc beating people out like Kendrick. The casual listen goes by similarity and familiarity. this has been proven. in the mainstream and commercial market. especially when the majority is one race.
They are both in Top 3 Rappers today
J’Arvas NS just no. kendrick, cole, tyler, joey, schoolboy q, ab soul, a$ap rocky, earl, kid cudi, kanye... well, i could keep on listing better rappers than logic all night long. logic is not bad and his old stuff was great, but he’s nowhere near the “top 3 rappers”
@@David-qq9bk...Kanye?
To pimp a butterfly is the best rap album in the best 15 years like it's amazing
Total
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy says hi...
33rn 123 ew
Limerslimer
I meant the album, not my real fantasy...
33rn 123 imo it's one of Kanye's weaker albums
madvillainy says hi
Since you’re on the Kendrick wave now, react to some “Maad city” or “Sherane aka master splinters daughter”. Its perfect for your metal friend!!
Actually Maad city if you want to impress him more
Or some Art of Peer Pressure and Sing About Me.
I love when the bass kicks in at the beginning of Sherane aka master splinters daughter
jeroen bijker beautiful every time
Kendrick's lyrics are always the ultimate point of his songs, so without understanding what he's saying you're missing half the song. This is such a reflection on what we are and if we are destined to relive the past, if we are coded to be a certain way.
I mean... I love logic but Kendrick is in a COMPLETE different level
I think DNA was a poor choice since your friend seemed to enjoy Logics storytelling tracks alot. I'd highly recommend sing about me/dying of thirst from to pimp a butterfly for a similar song. Also a very powerful storytelling song is U from the same album. And make sure you have the lyrics for those songs since Kendricks lyrics are usually more slang filled and harder to decipher than Logics.
ak Al that was from GKMC
Buttttt Sing About Me was on GKMC
yeah I got them mixed up lol. Shouldn't happen since I got both of them on vinyl :P
ak Al
If they want story telling tracks they need to listen to the Good kid maad city album.
How Much A Dollar Cost would be my first choice
I’d suggest listening to How Much a Dollar Cost, Duckworth, and/or definitely Sing About Me because I believe those songs show Kendrick’s best talents
Also, the song “u” which is in the video “God is Gangsta”
Will Campbell U, Keisha song aswell
"Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst" is often thought of as one of Kendrick's most poetic and lyrical songs, it's very similar to Logic - Under Pressure in that sense. "Kiesha's Song" and "How Much a Dollar Cost" are great story-based songs with significant lyrics too. I think you'd enjoy these kind of songs based on your appreciation for one of Logic's most lyrical songs.
MajinYoshi01 well said
How Much A Dollar Cost is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard
React to kendrick lamar sing about me I'm dying of thirst. It's his best storytelling song. The detail and imagery is insane
Deanz Beber that ones good, personally i think U is his most but everyones entitled to an opinion so yeah
Eli Petersen I wouldn't say u is a storytelling song but it's amazing
Logic’s has a lot of skill but is very unoriginal. He regularly bites from Kendrick and Drake.
Eden Karacan what you’re saying is just incorrect. There are Logic cadences, beats, and just plain songs that literally sound like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and in a lesser capacity, J. Cole. He even bites Travis Scott on “Bobby Tarantino II”. Logic is good at the literal act of rapping, but he’s far from original.
Maad city Kendrick Lamar
DUCKWORTH
Show him the song “good kid” on Kendrick’s GKMC album. It’s an emotional song and the content he covers is a very important subject
You need to do maad city, it literally inspired logic in the first place, this isnt a great example of kendricks lyrics at all. Great video either way, keep it up!
cammydoc If you understand what he's saying, it is.
If you want some really deep Kendrick try the one called "Sing about me"
It was interesting to see how a new listener prefers Logic. It makes sense as his simpler lyrical style and flow are much more accessible, whereas more "purist" hip-hop fans gravitate to Kendrick's art of making every word mean something in the song, or the grand scheme of the album.
I think J. Cole is another, like Logic, who has a more simplstic lyrical style yet very impactful in the way he does it. Maybe "Lost Ones" would be a good song/video to react to.
Great reaction btw and you've earned a new sub in me 👍
I've been recently trying to get into Kendrick and honestly, I've been really disappointed with the lyricism relative to the praise he's been getting. Is there a specific song to check out you would recommend? I don't rate Logic that highly lyrically, but from what I've heard he's better than Kendrick.
rikoLas "Hiiipower" is the song that turned me into a mega fan, but if you're new to rap I would recommend listening to his 2nd album "good kid maad city" all the way through.
Thanks. Not new to rap, but been avoiding Kendrick cos so much radio time in recent years lol.
rikoLas you should listen to sing about me, I’m dying of thirst. It’s one of Kendrick’s most deep and lyrical songs.
yessir
Kendrick is artistry personified. Live performances are incredibly full of life and passion. It's a different experience altogether.
Kendrick Lamar is a genius lyricist and story teller and he's honestly the best at what he does. I think as an introduction, let him react to hard hitting tracks where Kendrick is more emotional like The blacker the berry, Feel, u, Sing About me I'm Dying of Thirst or Sherane. Your reactions are great by the way🙌. They're honest and genuine 👊💯
You guys are awesome to watch absolutely love you reacting to hip hop👌
Wow, great video! I love how thorough and descriptive you guys are. Looking forward to your next video, keep it up!
Logic is ultra accessible
_Kendrick ain't no Logic_
Imma pray for you, metalhead.
Been binge watching all your video great content
Coming from the re-reaction to DNA. Great to see how you guys have evolved as fans of hip-hop and as people!
I recommend listening to how much a dollar cost by kendrick lamar
Pretty bad choice to introduce him to Kendrick
Why?
Mykel Schmidt
Because it's not representative of his artistic ability
agreed, so many better Kendrick songs
@@user-dm6os1ub7g agreed ,i think a better ones are bitch dont kill my vibe,u,and king kunta.
@@user-dm6os1ub7g tf u talking his flow his crazy there 🔥🔥
Loving these reaction videos!
You guys are popping in less than 2 weeks. Good job guys!!!
LOL man said "aint no logic" about kendrick
Great channel. As a hiphop head hearing someone say Kendrick isn't on Logic's level is lowkey hilarious though. Please react to Joyner Lucas - I'm Sorry
I remember the day after this album came out this song came on the radio and I literally pulled over to take a closer listen, the song fucking spoke to me on a higher level than any other song has. Amazing artist right here🤙🏼
lmao so I'm clicking on all your videos cause I decided to leave a like on all the videos I haven't already liked. and Simons intro just gets funnier and funnier 😂😂🤣 Huge fan love you guys
I think for his first Kendrick song this was a bad choice
I'm glad you found sing about me now. I had to stop watching this when he said he was spoiled by logic. He just didn't know he was listening to Kendrick, recited by Logic😂😂😂😂
I love how this Chanel already . Love how you guys are English reacting to rap with a rock background ! Love how you guys dissect every rap song
Definitely looking forward to logic thon!
Simon on here!!!! Listening to my favorite rapper.
44 More - Logic
Joyner Lucas - Look Alive
Childish Gambino - Bonfire
Tyler the Creator - Who dat boy or yonkers...take your pick
Chase G definitely Bonfire
Yonkerssss
Please please react to Be a king by E dubble he was the most underappreciated rapper to ever live until he unfortunately died in his 30s last year
keep up the honesty bros, good to hear real opinions
Just listen to every music from every album of kendrick since his first studio album!! We will love n appreciate it alot ❤❤
Do sing about me im dying of thirst
Imma give you a pass cause you’re a metal head but Logic is nowhere near the level of Kendrick. Kendrick won a Pulitzer for that album
I'm a simple man I see Simon Miller I click... had no idea he did these will be watching all of them
Kendrick is Shakespearean in his art, even if people can't put their finger on it, this is why he's popular.
J Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only
Logic - Paradise
J Cole and Cozz - Knock Tha Hustle (one of J Coles best verses)
Joseph McBride what about Lost Ones since he like the story telling
Please stop flaming them for their opinions on 2 artists based on only 1 song they've heard from each of them. The only way I'd probably give some critique of it is if they heard 2 full albums from each, still proceed to think the same way. This was a great reaction, but I can see that you guys are more in tuned with of the storytelling side of rap, which I also do love the most. If I had to pick, most comments are saying sing about me/dying of thirst by kendrick would be a better fit for you 2, which I agree with, and also dance with the devil my immortal technique
Another thing that's interesting about this song is the second part was something he just free-styled off the top of his head and then they made the beat for it afterwards.
Good shit , i love seeing what other peoples opinions are on rap! Good stuff.
Listen to some song off of TPAB like Alright, U, King Kunta. Great video!
Element would have been better
I love seeing people get their first taste of an artist
I respect his love for Logic, people have their own taste.
YOU DIDN'T LIKE TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY??!?!!!!! Crap... I almost liked yall LOL
Listen to U on To Pimp A Butterfly!!!!
Gotta react to fear off this album he tells a great story or sing about me as well off good kid madd city
"When he's got a point,my gawd"
Exactlyyyy 🔥🔥🔥🔥 the goat
Ahhhhhhh you stopped at my favorite part haha when Schoolboy comes to the camera and flashes some signs... dang it. ha love the video those guys
Listen to J Cole:) he's also considered one of the greats in rap today
LackSleep overrated af
Logic 44 bars or logic roll call
KENDRICK LAMAR----- "SWIIMING POOLS" its the pinacle of his genious lyrical skill with his introspective nature it HIS MASTERPIECE
Wow hearing Simon Miller doing music reactions blows my mind.
React to xxxtentacion !
Jesus Christ’s, Logic basically tries so hard to be Kendrick. How could you so Logic is better than Kendrick lmfao
Great channel, guys! Much respect from the Hiphop community! And coming from a hardcore Kendrick fan, I want to suggest a song by Kendrick which motivates the sh!t outta me every time I hear it- The Heart Pt. 1. It came out around 2010. It resonates the competitive spirit of Hiphop. Actually, he has The Heart pt 1,2,3. and all three of them are some of his best during his early years in the industry.
Kendrick Lamar's Untitled 2 performance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is something I think you two would definitely like!
If you guys like logic you should listen to NF. He raps about stuff in his life too. And he goes pretty hard in some of his songs
Alex I agree with this. NF is in the same realm as Logic. They both tell stories about themselves with their music.
Ayyyy! Low-key was gonna comment the same thing
90% of rappers talk about stuff in their life so that is no reason to compare him to logic. Also his songs are to dramatic personally.
He could be good, but at the moment he needs to find his own style. "How could you leave us" is amazing, but he often sounds like Lil Eminem
Barnabas McTruddy he already fuckin' got his own style 😒 y'all keep comparing him to Em 'cause he's white
kendrick lamar “sing about me, i’m dying of thirst”...it’s an amazing song. it’s long, but it’s a really deep and impactful song. in my humble opinion, it’s kendrick’s greatest song.
Kendrick will go down in history as one of the greatest rappers..Kendrick is like Em..Nasty and a wonderful lyricist, fearless...
Big Krit, should be on your list. Price of fame, 2000 and beyond, Hometown hero or Vent would be great places to start
Whuuut i didnt realise simon was doing rock stuff. Siiick. I was on stage with metallica at reading with him
To me logic is music. Kendrick is story. I would rather have a story that I have to read multiple times than a song that gets stuck but doesn't leave me with anything.
There are subtitles available in most Kendrick's videos btw. That little "CC" button down there.
When Kendrick gets aggressive there’s no telling what he can do, but it’s always gonna be popping off.
Art of peer pressure by Kendrick. Showcase the creativity of hip hop
He said he doesn't like To Pimp a Butterfly... thats craaaazy
Awesome reaction guys. Kendrick Lamar is one of two artist at the top of hip hop currently. Recommend “sing about me I’m dying of thirst” “ Ronald Reagan era “ “how much a dollar cost”. Will be looking forward to your next reaction.
The blacker the berry by Kendrick is one of the best social commentary rap tracks of the modern day. Listen to that
Coming back to this video after blacker the berry you really see their growth
Issa banga this
Hey guy just found the channel, think you guys are doing cool shit. As far as finding Kendrick songs that you could listen to regularly, Swimming Pools is a deep song that comes off as a pop club song. Also a really funny connection in this video is Kendrick based his look in this video on a character Don Cheadle played in Rush Hour 2.
This album is a rap classic. There was only one song i skipped the love song. Minus that track i found myself 10 laps into this album before i realized it was 2am
They gotta listen to “she needs me”, Element and such
I never ever thought i’d hear the sentence “he ain’t no Logic” when referring to Kendrick
I think when it comes to Kndrick Lamar "U" is a song you must listen to. Pure Art that song is.
I know they didn’t just say Kendrick Lamar “ain’t no Logic” LOOOL.
I never ever thought i’d hear the sentence “he ain’t no Logic” when referring to Kendrick.
3:16
Yes. This exactly. Every. Fucking. Time. Homeboy on the left was like “yea... that felt good” homeboy on the left was ready for it and just dropped to it. Love seeing others react like this. When you just allow the beat and atmosphere to dictate even your train of thought. That’s what brilliant music does.
Lyrically logic and Kendrick are on the same level, bar for bar ... but poetically, writing and story telling Kendrick is on an entire different level from everyone in his class... his lyrics are more metaphorical and are in double/triple entendres.
