The bowling as a game doesn’t seems to be changed much, its same today as it was in 1960s, very interesting 🤩

10 pin bowling goes back even further to the early 1800s, though mechanized like this came much later.

Enjoyed it in the 60’s and still enjoy it with friends. Brother made pocket money in the 60’s stacking the pins manually before the bowling alley mechanized it.

It was really awesome to see the mechanisms of the toys and also the bowling game!!!
It was old stuff that looks like it had much more modern technology!!! ✌🏻😄😊

Always liked that very distinctive sound of the pins being knocked down… also used to like those wild ‘bowling shoes’!

"Big Brother, the babysitter of tomorrow" 😂 And seriously, the first bowling alley in the UK in 1960? I also had no idea that bowling was invented in -America,- the *United States.*

Well, kind of. Ten pin evolved from the far more ancient nine pin bowling.

I wonder what these 60's people think of what London has become today... Hmm, that'd be so interesting indeed.

That would be the equivalent of asking someone who was around in 1896 what they thought of 1960... things change.

Britain's First Tenpin Bowling Alley (1960) | Archive Highlights 1458pm 10.7.24 well it wasn't me they were interested in...... ten pin bowling's cool. i love it.... beware the smelly feet of the house shoes dished out for the wannabe bowling star to wear. white man comes with athlete's foot never was so relevent as now. oneof the few things america gave us 9ten pin bowling) without too much fuss or fanfare which has entertained to the benefit of all. well done, USA.

The arrangement with the 4:3 frame on the right looks clumsy. The typeface and font size on the left are sloppy. I would understand this approach if you updated the info on the left at regular intervals. All in all, this looks bad.
