Part of emotional maturity I believe is realizing there is not really a type, other than in your mind, and to be really satisfied and happy one should keep their mind open to all possiblities. I have been attracted to people who I never thought I would be, because there has been something about them that transended physiclcal looks and appearances. Again, part of growing up emotionally, I believe, is to understand that appearances are often deceiving and that images are just that images, and they do not represent a person's essence. That is why I believe there are so many breakups and unhappy couples, because they do not take time to get to know a person outside appearances and physical attraction, with somewhat of an emotional component but lacks a real spirtual and mental connection, which is necessary to turn me on, so to speak. Instant gratification seems to be part of our culture, and especially, I have found, among gay people, not all, of course ,but a great number seemed to be obsessed with it.
It's always a tonic to watch you two having fun, my fantasy man would be one of 3 candidates, Cuba Gooding Jr, Alfonso Ribero, Ving Rammes sorry can't remember the correct spelling of his name but a gorgeous man and brilliant actor
The physical is important in so far as you have to see someone who at least doesn’t repulse you! But as someone once said, looks are great but what is the conversation like at breakfast! Personality and intelligence are important too - not necessarily Einstein, but someone who can string together a coherent sentence and has sensible ideas. It helps if philosophy - personal and political overlap if not perfectly - align. And also that they have their shit together, to a reasonable extent! But sometimes, opposites attract!

Hello guys! What an interesting topic. Like you Brian, I don't particularly have a type, although I tend to be drown to muscular well-spoken men. In terms of physic, the one guy who is the exception is "Common." For some unapparent reason, he gets my juices flowing! And yes Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors are two of the finest!!! Beyond physical attraction though, as Alec alluded to, personality along with communication does play an important role in formulating a relationship.
