  • I used the 1.4 meter Falcon Sail mounted on a Clipper Sea-One canoe during my 1000 mile solo trip (www.grappleart...) and it was fantastic. Sailing on big lakes like Nueltin and Reindeer Lake requires a lot of caution and shouldn't be done when the winds are high, but being able to hoist it at a moment's notice really helped take the strain off the muscles when the situation was appropriate.
Here's a more detailed article I wrote about canoe and kayak sailing: essentialwilde...
And finally, no, I'm not getting any kind of kickback or affiliate payments from / falconsails but I have interacted with them and they're a great company.

Thank you for sharing. Falcon Sails is always happy to see happy customers. The Falcon Sail with a Clipper Sea 1 is a great combination. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video 👍 I put a sail on my canoe for the same reason I put a motor on the bicycle more smiles per miles 😀

I run around falcon on a 20' clipper Mackenzie. Just finished a 4nm ocean crossing in a 15 kn tailwind with another 4nm in more protected waters. Was able to sail against a 2 kn tidal current in a narrow section still making 2kn speed over ground.

Impressive! How did you feel it affected the stability of the boat?
