Thank you for sharing your amazing stitching. Cocoa is funny and expressive. Happy stitching.
Thanks for visiting with me regularly Linda. I always love to see your comment. Cocoa is very expressive in her face and her behavior. LOL. Happy Stitching to you as well. Dena
Congrats on your Flosstubeaversary. You have come so far and so many fantastic and beautiful projects. I always enjoy seeing them and your progress. Happy stitching
Linda, thanks so much for the encouragement about my floss tube. It doesn't seem possible that 8 years have gone by already. Thanks for the compliment on my projects. I hope 2024 will be a great stitching year for the both of us. Dena
Hello Dena...lovely starts and stitching...Cocoa's expression is like a childs...she is certainly finished...I sure she was thinking of the store treats and toys...have a great day❤❤❤
Loretta, she had to walk past all those treats and toys to get into the shower so I am sure her Daddy bought her a treat on the way out! Dena
Happy 2024,as always your energy for stitching is amazing!
Les, thanks so much for the positive comment. Happy 2024 to you as well. Dena
Great start on your 2024 stitching. Enjoy your trip. Happy stitching 😊
Jeannie, we had a great trip. Made it there and back safely and had a wonderful time. Enjoy your stitching in 2024. Dena
Thank you, Dena, for your stitching company and great to see your progress on Bringo and other project challenges!!! I'm so far nanaging to keep up with the bringo !
Have a great vacation !!!
Ohhhhh, I have so much to catch up on this week. Being gone 5 days put me behind in both my BINGO and BRINGO. But I did catch up one day yesterday in both so that is a start. I hope to get a couple of days of calls caught up today, so wish me luck! Dena
Love watching all your progress and how excited you are with all your projects.
Thanks Vickie! I am so very excited about this year ahead! Dena
Loved and enjoyed your video- I agree Cocoa was done ! Lol - your stitching is beautiful - have a safe trip
Linda, thanks for the travel wishes. We had a safe trip and are back home now. We had a great time and Cocoa got to explore the lake area every day with my hubby. She is happy to be back home though, you can just tell. Dena
❤OH beautiful smart Cocoa❤
Ines, she is so smart and so sweet. She will do anything to please her daddy! Dena
Awww sweet Cocoa! I laughed at the last picture - she looks like me when I’m cranky! 😂😂 It was such a joy ringing in the new year with you, Donna and Nicole. 🎉Safe travels and I hope you have a lovely getaway!
Carolyn, the New Year's Eve was a great time for me as well. Thanks for joining us. We had a great getaway. I got to shop at a cross stitch shop (brick and mortar one) and Tommy and Cocoa walked around the lake (3.2 miles) everyday. I don't walk that far yet so they did that just the two of them (which gave me time to stitch!). I cooked every meal but one (which I love doing on vacation) and we watched TV and set up my new laptop. It was a delightful, quiet time (with loads of stitching by me). Hope you are getting back in the grove with classes. Dena
Doggie seatbelt❤
Katherine, we do have one but I don't think it is the right kind and it doesn't work well so I will need to look again. Dena
The "after" picture of Cocoa was just too funny! She was definitely over it! Great progress, happy new year and have a great trip!
Angela, we had a wonderful trip. Thanks for the travel wishes. Cocoa goes to the real groomer on the 15th so I won't get to see that face myself, but I am sure she will be wearing it at some point. LOL. Although she loves her groomer, Vanessa. Dena
Hello Dena, wishing you a very happy New Year and many congratulations on your Floss Tube anniversary. You certainly have got off to a flying start this year and it was fun to see all the projects and progress and to hear all your news. I am sure you will succeed with Cocoa - perhaps you could put one of Tommy's old jumpers in the back with her to reassure her. Good luck with her training! Wishing you lots of happy stitching time, Teresa 🛀🐾🪡🧵♥
Teresa, we did better this trip. Cocoa sat in the back seat with me most of the trip, but in my lap, so no stitching while driving. There were a few times she went back up front to help her daddy drive, but I think we need to search for and find a seat belt that will hold her in an area better. We will just have to wear ear plugs to avoid her crying. LOL. Dena
Happy New Year,,,,sounds like you hit the ground running with your 2024 stitching. Halloween Quaker should be finished soon. Cant wait to hear all about your trip. Cocoa...she is just a hoot. We put a small fleece dog bad in the back seat for our dog and clip his harness in to the seat belt with a dog seat belt piece...easy to do and keeps the dog really safe as well as the driver of the car. Happy Stitching. Cindy
Cindy, we looked at a dog bed for the back seat, but Cocoa chews them up. I didn't want to have to clean up the mess once we arrived. LOL. We are seriously looking at doggie seat belts or some way to harness her in the back seat safely, but allow her to move around in the back seat. The hunt is on! Dena
Hello Dena Happy New Year. Love your new start a beautiful chart. Always enjoy seeing your beautiful stitching. I started a slow stitch journal for my January project as well as moving forward with my cross stitch projects. Happy stitching
Neil, so happy you like my new start. I worked a little on it while on vacation. Best of luck on your slow stitch journal. Dena
Happy new year! I wish I was such a prolific stitcher as you are! That bag from Mary is GORGEOUS!
Thank you Angie, I will pass along the compliment to Mary about the project bag. I did get some stitching done this weekend on vacation, but I am itching to get back into my BRINGO calls. Dena
Happy new year! I hope you have a wonderful trip. I just love Miss Christmas Eve; she’s on my wish list! Yes you have it exactly right on the Book Scavenger Hunt. In fact, matching the book title or author name to the pattern title or designer name is the simplest way to match and how I’ve started out. If you run out of ideas you can match to characters, items or concepts but then you need screenshots as well as cover shots - lots more photos. Thanks for sharing your stitching and be well!😊
Thank you Sharon for confirming my thoughts on the Book Scavenger Hunt. I have stitched my first entry so far, then went on vacation without those three projects (they are on scroll rods). Can't wait to get back to all the stitching for prompts! Dena
HAPPY NEW YEAR and many Tomato Blessings!! 😜😊. Of course thank you for sharing your WIPS...which is ALWAYS a delight to see! Coco ain't giving up her front seat...that's that Mama!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2024!!
Karen, thank you so much for the New Year wishes and Tomato Blessings! LOL. Cocoa did sit in the back seat with Mamma quite a bit this trip because Daddy made her sit down in the front seat and she prefers to stand and look out the window. LOL. Anyway, it is a work in progress. Dena
Happy New Year! You are off to a great start. I have loaded my Brringo board with quite a few new starts this time. I'm hoping to start them early in the year, so I have some ornaments finished for my tree in December. The Christmas skirt is just beautiful. Nativity is just gorgeous! Have a wonderful trip. Cocoa's face is just hilarious. She's a character. She's so smart, and she will learn to be in the back seat. Just like us humans, good habits require discipline and consistency. And, rewards along the way. Take care. ❤
Judy, well, Cocoa did stay in the back seat most of the trip, in my lap! She would not stay back there alone (or at least we humans could not take her crying all the way to NC). We did have a great trip. I will tell all about it in my next floss tube. Dena
Great progress. Your dog is lucky. We have to put our dog in the trunk behind a gate or in a cage. Otherwise we get a fine/penalty from police. When dogs or cats are small they can get in cage on the backsit with seatbelt, or in the seatbelt on the collar. Have a great vacation. Happy stitching
Nina, we are supposed to have her secured for her safety but I don't think we have strict regulations such as you guys have. Loved your WIP parade! Dena
Hi Dena. I love the car story. Cocoa is too funny. Talk to you soon,Happy Stitching ❤
Dee, you know Cocoa, she has her own mind and knows what she wants. She did ride in the back seat with me most of the trip, but there were times when she was convinced her daddy needed her help driving. LOL. Dena
Nearly spat my coffee out when I saw her face at the end of the bath😂
Yes, it is very expressive isn't it? LOLOLOL. She is definitely able to communicate how she is feeling. I laughed out loud when my hubby showed me that photo as well. Dena
Dena, I had to laugh about all of the new starts that were called for you to begin the new year; you're really going to hit those new starts early! Happy stitching! - TaMara
So far I've started 5 new things! I have finished one (minus the beads which I hope to do today). There may be one more left on the BRINGO board! LOLOLOL
Happy New Year's & congrats on your Floss Tubeversary! Love watching your videos .. love the format in the daily updates of your week. I find all the prompts of your WIPGO, BRINGO, etc., fascinating. That would be fun but no clue as where to start to do one myself. So I'll live vicariously thru yours! Enjoy your getaway & happy stitching!! 😊
Kathy, you could start with one! I recommend either the Magazine Monthly Challenge or WIPGO. They are both Facebook groups and are open to new members all the time. I love doing the acrostics and prompts. Dena
@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 Thanks Dena for the advice! I will definitely look into them for more info!
Hi Dena, and happy new year to you Tommy and Coco! I enjoy your channel so much I look forward to seeing it pop up in my alerts and I watch you as soon as I can. You are such an inspiration to me. Congratulations on your eight years and I look forward to seeing many many more. Have a great time on your trip.❤
Colorado Plains Stitcher, thanks so much for the kind words regarding my videos. I cannot believe it's been 8 years already. We did have a wonderful time on our trip and are safely back home. Now, back to stitching! Dena
You are so neat in everything. You are an inspiration. Happy new year❤
You are very kind. I try to be neat, but it is something I still work on regularly. Dena
Great start to the year for you. Loved that last pic of Cocoa - she has that 'we are not amused' look going on
Hope you enjoy(ed) your break and look forward to your next update
Oh..... I was stitching on Tala, Deity of the Stars from Bella Filipinna whilst watching
Stuart, you are so right, Cocoa readily went into the bath, but by the end she was more than ready to be done with that activity! We did have a lovely break in NC. I visited Annabella's which is an actual cross stitch store and stitched, cooked and watched TV with my hubby for a few days. It was lovely. Dena
Hi Dena
Love all of the WIPS that you showed. They are all very pretty.
I have the Book of Quilts by Paula Vaughan.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵❤️
Linda, have you stitched any of the Paula Vaughn quilts? This will be my first. Dena
Great progress on WIPS, cool stitchy kindness, HNY 2024 & Happy Flosstube Anniversary! I hope Cocoa stays in the back seat, and if she is good give her a new toy along the way. One of our Labs jumped from the back to the front while I was driving on the highway, and landed in my hubby's lap, it was insane. Our boys loved bath time. 🐾
Debra, she did stay in the back seat in my lap for quite a bit of the trip, but she couldn't resist jumping in the front seat to be her Daddy's copilot some of the time. LOL. I sat in the back seat and when she wasn't in my lap, I read. Dena
I hear you about the car and Cocoa. If she has a harness, you may want to look into a seatbelt attachment. That could help with the encroachment while driving, so she is restrained but not confined. That way she has wait until you release her, may help her with patience. Just a thought
Sounds like a great idea. I will be researching doggie seat belts for sure. Dena
Happy New Year!! Love your videos and your exceptional organization. Have a great trip.
Jen, thanks so much for stopping by! I love your floss tubes. Been missing you. We had a great trip and are safely back home. Dena
Happy New Year to you too! Enjoyed all your progress shares. I’m amazed at how many projects I end up adding to my mile long list of wants. 😅 How am I to ever going to get through just the ones I already have in my possession? Lol. Enjoyed, enjoyed! ❤
Thank you so much! I am so excited about all the new projects I get to stitch this year! I have been watching WIP parades and that is a very dangerous occupation. Dena
Wonderful video and congratulations on your flosstubeaversary!! Cocoa is adorable. Yes, try doggie seatbelt for the back seat:) Um, in case you have not noticed it, Keiko noticed that the first blackbird on the left under "Halloween" is missing a beak. Thought you'd like know:) Have a safe travel!
Thank you Alice and Keiko! I will fix that next time I stitch on it. Yes I would want to know. We did have a safe trip to NC, so thank you for the well wishes. Dena
Hi Dena, happy New Year to you. I looked up to see Cocoa having her bath and laughed out loud - yep, she's done!! Her face, what a great picture. It was lovely to see you again today. Your videos are so entertaining - my cat is sitting on my lap with my stitching practically laying on top of him and we just relax and enjoy our time with you. Thanks so much for the time you take to film. All the best Claire
Claire, you see it too! Cocoa's face is so expressive. You can definitely tell she is done with the "bath" thing. She had a great time on vacation with us in North Carolina. Dena
Congrats on your flosstubeaversary! It gets more exciting each year and so many accomplishments.
Linda, thanks for the congrats for my 8th anniversary of floss tube videos. I do get more excited each year I think. Dena
That picture of Coco HAS to be enlarged and framed! It is just perfect...will make you smile forever! She reminds me so much of Chrystal, a dog my folks had for 17 years....so bright and just as opinionated. When she was "mad" about something she would get a kleenex or something similar out of a garbage and put it right in the middle of the living room floor as if to say, "See what I could do if I wanted to?"! Her expressions were so similar to Cocoa's. You look good! Hopefully all of your ailments are gone with that dang old year. Now, January and February can just move along as quickly as the last couple of months have!
Lynn, thanks so much for the compliment. I am feeling much better and am working on getting my health back to tip top. When Cocoa wants our attention, she goes into my husband's dirty clothes hamper (or a basket of clean clothes he hasn't put away yet) and steals a sock. She just waits in the living room until my husband chances by and sees her holding his sock in her mouth or front paws. He will say, Give me my sock! and she will wait for a treat before giving it up. LOL. Dena
Happy New Year
Enjoy your holiday!
And congratulations with 8 years ( if I heard that correct) flosstube...wow... I hope for another 8 years. Love your videos, your stitching and your dog.
🪡🪡
Marj, thanks so much for visiting again and for the congrats on 8 years on flosstube. Cocoa sends her love as well. Happy Stitching in 2024! Dena
🌻🪡🌻
Thanks for stopping by again! Happy Stitching this year. Dena
Happy New Year! Have a wonderful vacation. 😊🪡
Cathleen, we had a great time. Cocoa and Tommy walked around the lake every day (2.3 miles) and one day they walked over 4 miles touring the neighborhood. I stayed in where it was warm and stitched so we all enjoyed ourselves. Dena
