Been following this game since the beginning. I'm so excited for Rainy, Fem and the rest of the team for this huge accomplishment and milestone! Can't wait to have a nice cozy and relaxing town to get lost in come May!

I wasn't aware of the Kickstarter campaign and couldn't get the money around before the BackerKit closed, but still I followed along as best I could and grew more excited the more I learned. And now you tell me this is coming to PC four days after my birthday. This is probably the best birthday present I could have gotten this year.
The fact that it is coming sooner than I expected is absolutely amazing, so ready for this!

Unfortunately the demo is barely working for me graphics wise and I’ve even put all the settings on low 😭 not sure if I’ll be able to play it

I have loved the demo but the long hairstyle clipping made me headache :( if you could correct that or at least make the hair not move i would be really greatful! Looking forward to play it

How about steam deck support? I tried to play the demo on my deck and it was wonky
We're continuing to optimise the game as we approach release and that will def improve performance. There is a discussion to add a steam deck graphics settings to the game that lowers the settings to something that runs more desirable on the deck, but we haven't implemented it yet :)

I preordered the PS5 version on Amazon almost two weeks ago and the listing says the release May 31st. Is it a fake listing?! 😭 I was skeptical in the first place since I couldn't find the release announced anywhere until just now in this video...
This is a complicated logistics issue, but the root of it is that the listing is real, the dates are just wrong for a whole bunch of very silly reasons.
It will be only for PlayStation or it will also be on other platforms like pc, phones, etc

A little constructive feedback.
I'm admittedly worried about the game's release as the lighting engine still looks underdeveloped, the frame rate stutterred in the trailer itself here a couple times, and the characters clothing still clips into their bodies in awkward ways (1:30 for this even being shown in the trailer for the game).
I have been extremely excited for this game but am very worried that the game will launch in an "early access" like state with promised fixes. I don't doubt that this team would fix issues brought up, but it worries me if the game launches with issues like these.
A quick edit: Co-op isn't coming on release either which is another worry. Again major features in a game being promised later and not given on release. The other major features I'm referring to is a better lighting engine overall. The game still somehow looks incredibly flat. This is 10x worse on the characters 3d models. They feel like they don't even belong in the game in certain locations in my opinion.
I don't mean for any of this to offend, I know you all are working incredibly hard. I am saying this stuff because I care a lot about the potential future of this game.

Hi there!
I'd like to address some of your concerns as best as I can:
-Co-Op is something that was a KickStarter stretch goal, but we realized very quickly that it wasn't going to happen on launch and have been very transparent with the community about this for a very long time. We do have plans to implement this feature, but we've always stated that it will be retrofitted after release, similar to how Stardew Valley did it.
-We've never promised a "new lighting engine". We are definitely always updating the lighting in game, but just so the technicality is clear, we are using Unreal Engine 4 and its deferred renderer without raytracing. This has been the case for really the past 2 years (the game was initially using forward shading).
-The shading: Our choice of making the character shading look anime and flat shaded and the world's shading look realistic (with volumetric fog, godrays and realistic reflections) isn't everyone's cup of tea. But it is very much a conscious and intentional choice that gives our game a very unique look. We love mixing photo realistic effects with a stylised look (such as The Last Night or Shadows of Doubt) and wanted to achieve something similar.
-The "improvements": The main improvements we have been making, and continue to work on, is the actual light placement in the game. We have been lighting Higashi like the neon night city it was always supposed to be, and SunnySide itself is a lot more illuminated at night with lots of different colors of light blending and mixing especially looking nice during foggier weather. This is the bulk of what we have been doing and will continue to do and improve until release.
-Framerate: We're currently optimizing the whole game as well as porting it, and this will continue to happen all the way up until launch. The stuttering you see in the trailer is the result of map loading, which is something we're still actively working on.
-Clipping: It's very unlikely that this will ever go away. We've done out best to make everything look as great as possible, but I do want to point out that SunnySide will never be at AAA levels of models, textures, rendering, etc. so we kindly ask that everyone meter their expectations of our small indie team. We're doing our best, and all we can do is hope that our best will be good enough.

Yet another game that probably won't be ported to Mac products 😔
Mac is INCREDIBLY difficult to make games for, specifically because their hardware is so different and they use integrated graphics and don't support Direct X. It takes a lot of time and money that most indie teams just don't have (like us)

The game lacks just the option to make the character look more masculine.
Everything seems to be on the female side even if you will play a boy.
It's definitely a bit harder, but it's totally doable. We hope to keep adding options over time. :)
