Thank you for not cutting it! A lot of people don’t like when people cut their reactions because they will inevitably end up cutting scenes that people really wanted to see, or the people who want to watch the full thing with you and see your raw reactions to every detail will miss out. Moxxie's hallucination: okay but... Phantom of the Opera guys. It's great!
Moxxie is about his insecurities and how he see's Blitzo and how unreachable he is to him. But at the end Moxxie realize that he keeps his feelings to himself because he's scared of rejection. If he keeps true to himself, than he can be fine. Alos I think at th end of the song when he reaches Blitzo and is on the same level could mean that Blitzo is his boss, but also kind of a friend to him. Blitzo might be an a*hole but he protect his friends.
Blitzo on the other hand not only knows that he made mistake after mistake but he also feels guilty for that. And he doesn't want to be someone's playtoy.
I kinda think it's fascinating that Moxxie and Blitzo are similar to each other. Moxxie thinks that Blitzo is on a higher hierachy; as Blitzo thinks the same about Stolas. Blitzo is also very insecure inside. He is noisy and bold because he covers that to not get hurt again. But at the same time Blitzo doesn't realize that his shield also hurts other people. If he would be more true to himself and would tell what he thinks and feels would help him in the end. Communication is the key for relationships - wheter it's family, friendship or your better half.
Blitzo is Moxxie if his rejections would be come true - over and over again.
@@Moonchild0 Regarding Blitzo's shield, I think he does know it hurts other people but subconsciously defaults to carelessness in order to keep others at a distance. He looks guilty, not surprised, when his hallucinations point out how he pushes people away. But close relationships are something he both longs for and fears, so he keeps self sabotaging.

It's also worth noting that Blitzo's issues are rooted in both insecurity and self-loathing. We learn later on that his seeming dislike of Fizz is a front to hide the guilt and self-hatred he carries for what happened to Fizz. So it's not just fear of being hurt, it's also fear of caring about someone else.

But I admit "carelessness" was probably the wrong word. I was trying to say that his abrasiveness toward (or brushing off, as you put it) those close to him is a product of self-sabotage rather than because he doesn't know or care. My bad there!
@@FoxMoon89 I mean that his shield - his cold sholder if you want - hurt people. The shield representing the subconscious. He does that without realizing. But he also acts up to his insecurities as being loud, rude and ruthless. That's concious. He hurts people both ways under different circumstances. One is spoken words and one is with gestures/minic. Hope that makes more sense.

Gonna have to request that you don't add cuts to these episodes. The best part about watching your reactions specifically is hearing your theories and little tidbits that you add or even just looking at your facial expressions during certain scenes. So please, no cuts for HB ok?

Stolas being on top of that staircase in Blitzø's hallucination symbolizes how Blitzø perceives him; Stolas being a Prince of the Ars Goetia clan, and Blitzø views him as the one in control of their Full Moon agreement (despite Stolas being submissive to him). Stolas having those chains around Blitzø in the hallucination is further proof of the power imbalance.
I kinda also interpreted the chains as blitz feeling trapped by his own fear and desire of real intimacy

I feel like you don't get that Stolas is nobility. He's not Lucifer, not even one of the sins (we meet Lust, Greed, and Gluttony) but he is nobility. Imps like Blitzo are real low on the hell hierarchy. Stolas mostly ignores it, but Blitzo is absolutely aware of the difference in station.

Where did you get the impression that he doesn't get it. He's pretty damn aware of this. Just because he likes his elegant behavior or compares him to Al it doesn't exclude hus knowledge about a certain character. You'd know if you'd watch his former reviews about HB.

I love seeing the full reactions. On other reaction channels they don’t include the whole video or episodes of whatever they’re reacting to, and it can be quite annoying
I think the “staircase to heaven” with Stolas at the top (being fanned by Blitzo-shaped figures) represents a few things. Stolas says, “Are you afraid to love people, Blitzy?” And Moxxie straight-up says that Blitzo’s subconscious is trying to tell him that he’s afraid of true intimacy but craves it…as Blitzo crawls willingly up the stairs to Stolas, even as s collar and chain materializes on him. He’s only actually pulled the last bit, and the blush doesn’t exactly make it look like he hates it (or not only hates it- I think he’s conflicted).
I think Blitzo does feel drawn to Stolas, does feel the potential for genuine intimacy and feelings with him, and it scares him so much, he can’t even consciously acknowledge it. Much easier to lean in to the power imbalance and pretend that’s all it is, that there are no choices to fuck up.
So…Stolas is above him in terms of hierarchy, status, power and class. Blitzo also sees Stolas as the one with the power in their “arrangement,” or at least that’s what he fears. He doesn’t want to wind up serving him, controlled by him.
But the heavenly imagery is a little different. It could have just been the beautiful stairs of Stolas’ actual home. Instead, they are golden stairs, taken straight from classic imagery of stairs leading to heaven, and the feathers on them are white, angelic. Stolas does not have white feathers. Blitzo climbs out of the muck onto the stairs and he is clean, his normal clothing appears.
I think this “heavenly” part symbolizes the potential for the kind of love that Blitzo wants more than anything, that is present in what he has with Stolas. Love that could turn out to be a trap .

Juggling, it's objectively cool our returning champ is nobody's fool, but what's this? The twins bring it up to the wire also, they're on fire, that's points for style (points for style) The crowd goes wild (the crowd goes wild). It's the pie gag, and the twins want a taste, but what's this? Its Fizz in the face, he takes the cake and eats it too. He's hungry to win, and he's covered in goo. That's point for cream, the crowd screams! Ba-ba-balloons, he's pumping them out from where I'm sitting. You can hear the crowd not give a $hit because the twins are here, they're full of sin and they're hear to win. Holy moly, things are not looking good for Fizzarolli.

There’s so much good stuff hidden away in their hallucinations and I love it. The fact that Blitzø’s voice is used for all the characters throwing him around is one such cool (kind of hidden) detail.
The mud vs the cleaner stairway. Him trying to run up towards Stolas but slipping. And only getting on Stolas’ level because of the chain. Ugh so angsty I love that stuff yum.

@@pantinaprovina42 Haha thanks! It made me realize how much Blitzø depends on their arrangement despite it hurting them both. He wasn’t begging for the book in Fullmoon because of his business, it was because it’s the only thing connecting him to Stolas and putting him on the same level him. Even if that is just as Stolas’ “impish little plaything” ;-;
Or that’s kinda how I see it anyway. It’s all pretty muddled ngl.
@@livith9 one thing I love about this show is just how complex the characters and situations are. For Blitz (in Full Moon), I can easily see it being a life he’s come to be really happy with that he suddenly saw crashing down around him. He’d be losing his business AND this man that he’s come to love. I agree though that in that moment, I definitely think it had more to do with Stolas 💔

Please don't cut your videos. I really love your reactions the entire time and watching it again. That said, if you move it for only patreon I get it, sadly that's just not something I can afford, no matter how cheap. The other characters represented the connections blitz had that he ruined. Meanwhile Stolas was hoisted up on a literal pedestal. Looking pristine.
Blitz is so broken that the idea of a functional relationship is literally binding/shackling him to Stolas.
The manifestations of his old relationships kinda summed it up.
As described by his hallucinations, He doesn’t want to carry on through life alone, he tried it but it failed, but he pushes away anyone who gets too close. By committing heinous acts of selfishness and greed.

Ive always loved your videos because they always had the full episode in it and seeing your full thoughts and reactions is always so fun!! To be honest whenever i watch other reacters and their video kept cutting out my attention span got worse with it somehow😭 but watching your videos being uncut always kept me in focus and interested especially when you would point out little things other people wouldn't usually notice at first or when you'd seem really excited or happy at certain scenes :)!!
The thing about Blitz's halucination: He LOVES Stolas, or at least he very well might. But he also hates himself, and believes Stolas only wants him for the physical side of the relationship, and this reinforces his toxic notions that the upper class of Hell think nothing of the lower classes - Stolas is near the top of the Demonic class system while Blitz is almost as low as it's possible to get. Only Loona is of a lower class than the IMPs - to the point where many denizens of Hell don't even see Hellhounds as _people,_ they're regarded the same way we regard dogs IRL: As pets or working dogs (for, e.g., security).
I love how Blitz takes the "Coach Dad" approach with the backpack on his front, making sure everyone's spirit's up and supported xD

Oh we were revealed so much about Blitzø in this episode and didn't realise it. Moxxie nailed it omg "why does it seem like a recurring thing? That you alienate with your toxic routine?" "I don't know! Eventually everyone goes!" "Cuz you're thoughtless and cruel and you'll end up alone!" 😢😢😢
And this was also the changing episode I think. Still has that funny, kind of "just to pass the time" vibe, but starts adding content and weight to the characters and the plot thickens. From here on, it escalates to a more complex and deeper story that none of us (who started it years ago as it aired or even new watchers) expected it would be. The world expanded as much as the characters development and growth. And that's awesome and talks a lot about how much love and care is put into it from everyone in the team.
It never really feels like there's songs in helluva boss til episode 6 but there's at least one in about every episode of helluva boss

The Ars Goetia clan is also supposedly descended from fallen angels, and are based on the 72 demons of the same name from The Lesser Key of Solomon.
Did any angels actually fall alongside Lucifer in the HB/HH universe? Hazbin Hotel's Lucifer didn't outright or intentionally rebel, it's more that his pride and idealism had stark consequences, so I got the impression it was just him and Lilith who were cast out. Vivzi deviates drastically from the RL lore, so I wouldn't be surprised if the HB Ars Goetia are just a type of Hellborn based on the biblical Ars Goetia.
I love the fact he's trying to get us to comment on him messing up only to interact with us more 😂
I just realized that Blitz is running away from everyone (more like, every kind of relationship) in his hallucination but HE GOES RIGHT UP to Stolas and KEEPS going even after feeling the chains in his wrists and neck.
We’re here, everyone. One of the best episodes. So, what was that you were saying about Stolas not seeming like he belongs in Hell?…
While the surface level of the Stolas on a heavenly staircase thing is that Blitz views Stolas as his saving grace, the one relationship he hasn't trampled on or ruined yet, there is another one. It's less canon, to my knowledge anyway, but no less interesting.
Stolas is a Hellborn, however he's specifically part of it's extended royal family outside of Charlie, Lilith, and Lucifer-- the "Goetia" Family, as in the "Ars Goetia".
Essentially, that means that he's related to the Lords of Sin(Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Satan, Mamon, etc) by blood. Distant relatives at best due to just how LONG it's been since Hell came into existence, but he's related nonetheless.
The thing about the Lords of Sin and the other 65 names of the Ars Goetia is that according to certain parts of the lore throughout time, Lucifer/Helel/Samael fell from Heaven, but he didn't fall alone. Those of similar belief fell with him, be it out of loyalty or simply being forcefully cast into Hell with him.
So, technically, going by that lore, even though Stolas is a Hellborn, he's also an Angel by blood. Which could also explain the heavenly imagery surrounding him.
Again, seeing as how HH and HB aren't really going 1-to-1 with any sort of Christian or Judeo-Christian, that interpretation may not be canon, but it's still interesting.
Obviously it never confirmed but I just figured that Blitz demanded that Loona close the portal to avoid having humans discover the hell dimension, and avoid them entering it.

The pilot had the IMP jingle. The first episode had Ms Mayberry’s class song. The second episode had You Will Be Okay and Loo Loo Land(Legally Distinct). The third episode had the radio/credits song and Vacay to Bonetown. The fourth episode had the CHERUB jingle. The fifth episode had Sweet Victory(Moxxie Sux lol). Every episode has had at least one song.
It just goes to show you that for all their derpy goofing around, the I.M.P. crew have some serious badassery going on when they get themselves into gear.

If Loona and Millie jumped in at that moment and things went sideways, worst case scenario either they're all trapped on Earth with no way of contacting anyone for help, or even worse, same thing but the portal is left open with no one around to close it and oops you've created unpredictable ramifications to not one but TWO realms

Man,I just watched this episode for the first time today and BAM there's your reaction, amazing timing. Stolas makes a hell of an entrance, doesn't he?
Thank you for putting the full episode on Patreon! And yes, this is where the show really hits its stride. There still isn't a single big plot like in Hazbin, but from now on the episodes are more connected and more emotional.
Something that took me a few watches to get is that Blitz and Moxie were having separate hallucinations, but they were still having a conversation. That's why Moxie looked so different from every other element in Blitz's hallucination and why the stuff they were singing about in Moxie's hallucination was relevant to what Blitz was seeing in his. And at the end, when Moxie showed up in the animation style from his own hallucination in Blitz's, they got in sync and that's why you only see Moxie's from there on.

Basically Blitz's scene was all about showing us Blitz's mental struggles. Like how he feels incapable of feeling loved and tends to push people away because according to his point of view everyone's going to leave him eventually anyways so if he just pushes them away first he still has some sense of control of the things in his life. And the reason that Stolas was on those heavenly stairs was meant to symbolise the way Blitz views him. Having full control over their relationship and being ranked so much higher than Blitz on the social ladder. Blitz is a very complicated character with a pretty complicated past but he's definitely my favourite character.

RE: songs, there's usually one per episode, but some episodes don't have a song. Episode one was "Teacher's Song," 2 was "You Will Be Okay" and "LooLoo Land," 3 had Verosika singing, "CHERUB Jingle" in 4, then there was a break in 5. There is an exception with "Mammon's Magnificent Midseason Musical" where we're treated to 4 songs, but 0-2 for most episodes.

Ah yes, the episode that reminds you Stolas isn't just a foppish noble, but a high demon of dark and terrible power with an important role in HELL.
Was looking forward to the reaction to this episode in particular, I can't understate how disappointed I am that you not only cut it, but cut a lot out.
I will have to say, I look forward to your videos each week. It is my Thursday night watch after work, and I love seeing your reactions to things, because I miss stuff, but also I really love your takes on things. However, it was quite disappointing not being able to see your full reaction to things I hoped to see your reaction for. I understand that you need to draw people to your patreon. I just can't afford that expense right now. So I really hope this isn't the new way it is going. Already have so many good reactors who keep their entire content behind a pay wall, and I get it I do, it just gets frustrating when things already are more and more expensive.

It had it all - fantastic and lengthy fight scene with all the gang getting some screen time showing off their particular skills and fighting styles, three different animation styles, with Moxx's dream the highest quality and Blitzø's being that Felix the Cat/Betty Boob style, finally seeing Stolas' full and powerful Eldritch form plus his taste for the dramatic (he was already there but he reanimated those dead agents to draw his sigil in their own blood to call himself forth from Agent Two's mouth) just to name a few highlights - one of top episodes when it comes to beefy content!

The fight scene was animated by Chaos Emporium, they’re AMAZING, they did Jinkx Monsoon’s music video Cartoons and Vodka which you should also check out, she voices a lot of one off characters in Helluva Boss
Stolas has the power to get rid of all the dirt in his life, he could be a kept man submissive to this powerful rich being. The golden heavenly feathers wipe away all the muck and make everything clean, but they come with golden chains. It's all very symbolic.
it's the fact that none of them clocked a HELL DEMON thanking the guy's dead mom for a "fat time" means (a) he KNOWS she's dead because (b) she's IN HELL

This was the episode where I IMMDEDIATELY went back and rewatched from a perspective of understanding Blitzo's inner thoughts and behaviors and psychology. I couldn't stop, now I'm so far in the trenches for that little red lizard man and his horrid trauma and deep rooted self loathing... He's such a complex character in a show that initially seemed like such a simple funny toon about a bunch of goofy violent horny demons doing goofy violent horny demon shit.
Then, while we waited for full moon I started deep diving into the psychology of all the characters.

I think this is actually the highest-rated HB episode, actually. It’s certainly my favorite.

18:52 - man, I love animation soooo much. You can show so much without straight up spelling it out for the audience. That little twitch Blitzø does after he says "not really", so subtle yet it tells me loud and clear that he is lying. He does remember. And it took only one or two frames of animation to tell me that.
It was a great way to show Stolas’s power we forget he is a princess of Hell. He doesn’t like to engage in violent “demonic acts “but he can hold his own when needed. Loved how Viv chose to let us see him flex his power here.
