Well, from the beginning, nothing indicated as such sooo what? We may be omniscient beings, but it doesn’t just start out with him talking about his crushes
I know some of you are saying that you think Dillon is gay. I think it is more serious than that. I think Dillon is trans. Or some kind of gender non conforming. It would explain a lot. That is probably why their friends called them a freak. Maybe they were trying to socially transition and were dressing in a more feminine or androgynous way and the friends hated that. It would also explain why Dillon prefers living with Misbah. Dillon's mother feels very much like she would be a very traditional, conservative Muslim who would likely push stereotypical gender norms.

Oh my OA Dillon’s a wonderful character I think he might be Gay and d maybe Transgender and if that’s the case then he’ll be the second FTM character in the village.
