Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
The title is bringing back extinct animals using DNA. Where is it you discuss this sibject?
release the ashton forbes interview
need to get a Thai or Philippine woman.
He didnt grow up in Zimbabwe he grew up in RHODESIA!
Thank you for having me Danny! I had a blast!
Bro you’re awesome 👏
You're one of the coolest dudes I know 😎👍
Good shit Forrest! Cheers bro!
You gotta do another one , you hqv3 a lot to share. Keep the good vibes
If you liked this check out his podcast “the wild times podcast” it’s really really great if you have any interest at all in animals.
Bringing back extinct animals was more a mention than topic of discussion in this one
True. Also, the company Forrest is "working" with seem like total grifters. From what I've heard from other scientists in that field, the tech and genetic material available for mammoths isn't actually up to snuff. We will never bring back mammoths due to dna samples being overly segmented and damaged by 14000 years underground. AT BEST, we'll get a slightly modified elephant with a ton of genetic health issues and unpredictable outcomes.
Thank you for saving me 2 hours.
Damn that's why I clicked
Forest is the kind of guy you can sit and listen to for weeks on end. ✨The type of guy you want around the campfire every night. What a huge inspiration to anyone. Just finished six hours of ancient pyramid knowledge with Christopher. Keep up the great work.👋🏼🤠👍
He has his own podcast that's pretty good too
@@thedude7726 its absolutly great
i binged it from 1 to 130 in 3 weeks while working
reaaaaaally2 enjoyable and learned a lot too
His shorts are my favorite part of the day. His excitement is contagious
I just want to say, that if they ever remake the original Jaws movie I think it would be a mistake to not cast Forrest Galante as Matt Hooper the marine biologist.
They should just get Zach galifinakis to play Forrest. Forrest isn’t an actor
@@LordZedd123 Just because he hasn't taken on a straight acting role doesn't mean he couldn't. He's done several TV shows. I'd way rather see him than Zach Galifinakas. Different vibes.
@@Khunai. I was just trying to be funny, and doing a bit of ribbing. I have the same beard lol. Truth is we agree 👍
Forrest is a true gem. Love that dude
The lightning strike was behind him. He got shocked via the water. He's very lucky.
Yeah it was not direct hit. Just close enough to travel through his body to the ground :-) but not enough to give him any electric powers. At least he claims it didn't.....
Amazonian river Thor gave him a thumbs up 🤔
It will give you zits boils warts and possibly bigger nips
Had to scroll way too far down to find this comment.
I was looking for this lol. Definitely behind him.
So glad to get you two together. The chemistry was great. Been looking forward to this for weeks.
Thanks Luke!
Luke you need to come back man,
I loved your episode I am very interested in what you both have to talk about!
Much love brother man keep rocking ! Stay safe!
You as well Forrest! Stay safe out there man!
You da man Luke your episode was epic
Awww 🥰🤗😭💀
I know precocious 7-year-olds with a better command of geography than this host
I love how this guy is never afraid or too proud to say “I don’t know”.
Forrest talking about visiting Brian Barczyk made me think about that goodbye video he posted the other day.😢 That was very heart wrenching.
never heard of either these two guys. never seen this channel. but i watched this entire podcast and i could watch them talk all day
I think Forest needs to talk to Randell Carlson about the mass extinction.
lol, right. Even if Randell is wrong, it still doesn’t make sense. The idea is when small groups of humans first crossed over they killed everything. But then, somehow when the Europeans rediscovered North America it made the African plains look underpopulated.
Elephants survived in Africa, even though they aren't afraid of people, yet a mammoth which is bigger than an elephant, is more vulnerable to spear attack than an elephant which has no fear of people... great logic.
@@rhodesianhunter9360immature , life isn't about fart jokes go somewhere "else" for that
Definitely it's no way the few people that came over could have killed that many giant animals and almost all at the same time
@@davidmcdonald7298 Let's not forget that there is now evidence for a much longer human occupation of the Americas, which begs the question of why the megafauna didn't get wiped out back then if humans were such a rapid game changer. Then there is the inconvenient matter of all the megafauna disappearing from Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia; all places where the human population had been present for a considerable time prior to the extinction event.
The lightning struck a little ways behind him. It obviously hit close enough to where the River in that whole area conducted electricity. Though A direct hit while standing in that water would have literally fried him. He’s super lucky! Great podcast!
Yo, he's the dude who lightning bit on the butt cheek???

Great episode, guys! As a scuba, diver and spear fisherman, from Southern California, I especially appreciated the conversation.
🙌
It give me great comfort to know that once Joe Rogan had passed away or stepped down from podcasting that Danny will be right there to step in and take that place. He’s the only man out there now that’s matching rogan.
Get your own opinion dumbass
So, are all the videos Joe Rogan's been uploading to his channel recently just snippets of his old podcasts?
Check out Julian Dorey too! These guys are friends and Julian's podcast is on-par with this one
@@TaylorUmongusHas no they are new
You were not hit by a lightning, but you were close enough that it arked and hit you. I've had the same thing happen. A few times I'm kind of surprised you didn't feel the energy in the air. That usually comes right before a lightning strike. Because every time I feel that I get the hell out of that area.
Really digged your guys conversations! Super interesting on both sides!!! Thanks for sharing
Forrest Galante doesn't look like he'd be a badass, but goddamn what a life.
What do you even mean by this
Watch him on naked and afraid. His partner blew him off and regreted it big time.
Having been electrified many times i can tell you its normal to taste metal for a little bit. But not for days. Might need to check that out.
😫
Awesome guys ! Forrest is such a great dude and Danny makes the best conversations !
Stoked to see this, love your guests!
Deck hands!?!?! BRO!!! Those videos first got me started in your channel. The way you presented these salt dogs is the see is award winning. The boat scene where he is listening to music and fog is going everywhere and lasers are shooting through, I felt the scene, I truly felt like I was there. You have a gift.
That mad beach under ground! Me too.
Love hearing from this guy. Great stuff Danny.
I can only imagine the life this young man has already had.
Rewatching portions of this. I'm so hooked on this channel
Awesome Podcast! I enjoyed your conversation and learned something new. Thank you!
Always a pleasure seeing Forrest! No updates on his quest for the giant sloth in Peru?
Great episode. I learned a lot!
Just found your podcast channel mate and bsolutely love how raw it is, keep up the good stuff and much love from down under 👍🤙
What a much needed podcast, I really mean this danny.
Thankyou sir.
I've been with my wife 21 years and my megalodong is feeling like a fossil these days.
😢 you think it's several inches longer than it is she says you leave a mess right in front of the toilet where you don't stand close enough to the Bowl😢
Immature. schlong joke from corny comments
I’d move on…at least that’s what I did and now I’m living the good life!
✌️😈👍
The Egyptian shark attack i can personally attribute to 2 factors. As someone living by said specific city I can tell you without a doubt that it’s mostly the death of our coral reefs….
The corals and therefore fishes have gone the way of the bees in a few years…..there is literally nothing left to eat here so yeah some dumb dumb people are gonna die swimming around the dirtiest docking spot in the city
But more importantly is commerce. The Red Sea is marketed as a clear water paradise, so people treat it like a sandy beach like the sandals resort commercials that it is marketed as.
I’ve seen snorkeling families trying to touch lion fish, I caught 2 children with a net that apparently snagged a stonefish and were trying to grab it from their net, let alone the standing on corals to catch their breath….and on and on
People will die in any environment when they don’t know or respect the environment methinks
You caught 2 children with a net?! I hope you you released them back into the water
Loved this one, cheers guys
Great episode! Love that old flip shirt! Brought be back to middle school. Had that VHS when I was like 12!
1:17:00 - That's a dumb theory. One mammoth feeds an entire village for a month basically. The reason the northern ones got wiped out was because of something to do with meltwater pulse 1B, whatever caused that, probably a meteor hitting the ice caps.
Yes he's a good cool guy but wrong on a few things
Lmao bringing back wooly mammoths is going to slow down the release of carbon emissions - that's the funniest shit I've heard all week
First time watcher, now a subscriber! Great podcast! I love Forrest Galante so that was a great interview! I like your style.
Great episode!
Funny how he stays away from the Alaska Bone Yard where tens of thousands of mammoth bodies are preserved in the permafrost…with food in their mouths suggesting an instant freeze. I guess humans herded them there…or a celestial impact that would remove the air from the area and instantly freeze it.
shhh....;)

Domesticated Brazil nuts means they took the native nut and planted and cared for them. Native Americans did that with corn. It’s a horticultural practice. L. Doesn’t mean taking a non-native plant and growing it somewhere it doesn’t naturally grown like we do now.
GREAT GREAT GREAT INTERVIEW AMAING QUESTIONS YOU ALLOWED HIM TO GET IT ALL OUT JUST AMAZING GREAT JOB BRO KEEP EM CMN
This is hands down the best interview Forrest has ever done. Incredible. His book is great too.
The clickbait titles. They talk about bringing back extinct animals an hour in, for 7 minutes of a two and a half hour podcast. This channel is so bad for clickbait titles.
Hate the Game not the Player 😂
Ur brain is upside down in ur skull they talk about it in the video which means its not clickbait and its chapters so u can skip to certain parts u dunce mf want the title to be 700 characters long stfu and read the description u scum
Bring this gentleman back many times!
Love Forest. His episodes on JRE are a must watch!
best ad ive seen in a long time good job, now give us a link
We need more people like Danny and Forrest
We need more inspirational people instead of decadence and victim mentality. And FG surely is inspirational person with great work on his account
This is THE BEST and MOST INTERESTING podcast with Forrest I've seen! Awesome stuff keep it up. 😊
this was awesome Forrest is an awesome guest loved this cheers boys
Just found your podcast I love it keep going
More interesting than most of the JRE content lately. Reminds of the good old days when Joe was curious about everything, not just comedy. Thanks DJ love this podcast.
I feel this, I used to be a huge fan when it was interesting topics like this but now his pod is just politics and stand up comedy.
Oh please. Danny puts 100% effort into his ads and ZERO % into his interview prep or questions. Comparing Danny to JRE is a JOKE
@@TheLastHonestInfluencer whatever you say pal
I don't think Joe's more just getting older and just like our dads becoming more and more like a boomer they get annoying
haven't watched JRE since the whole spotify move. I'm opposed to Spotify over their treatment of independent musicians. now they are making it even harder for them to make money
Galante is the man! Everyone check out his podcast, it’s a good time! Cheers!
I try not to run away from reality, but this guy has so much of it, I think I need to take him in small doses!
I just discovered your podcast James. Brilliant stuff
great episode. Forest is totally a guy that would get along with like 98% of people. i could see myself having a beer and talking shit with him and all of a sudden, “Closing Time” starts playing over the speakers and we look down at our phones to see that 4 hours just blew by like it was 30 minutes.
he just has a, idk how to explain it, like neighborhood childhood friend vibe? the type of guy you feel like you’ve already known before lol.
Loved the episode.
Really think Mr. Gallante should look more into the younger dryas impact wiping out mega fauna.
Has this guy ever heard of Randall Carlson? A humane could live off of eating on mammoth for a long time I find it bs that we killed everything
It's a dumb theory. 1 mammoth feeds an entire village for a week, maybe even a month.
Bison were almost killed off entirely because they built a train & white people shot & killed all the buffalo the Indians lived off, for fun, from the train as it passed by. Never put it passed humans to do the wrong thing.
Just found you Danny. Your work is fantastic!
Our home is north of Cabo in the East Cape called Los Barriles. We see orcas in Feb

Love to hear that Dan 🤘
I love Danny to but, @Koncrete This channel is not a podcast with all do respect. Most of his shows take on a strictly Interview Q and A type format that sometimes has a little bit of a podcast vibe. The JRE is what a podcast is. A few that fall into the podcast genre are the Logan’s podcast, JRE, YMH, Stevos wild ride, Bill Maher podcast. They are more hanging out with their guests letting the conversation go anywhere instead of taking on a strictly on topic, Q and A, style interview show. Shows that fall into this interview format show are, The Shawn Ryan Show, Danny Jones here, and Lex Friedman.
These are not really podcasts, they are more interviews about a particular non mainstream type topics and are really good compared to say Larry King, 60 minutes est. est. among others that are more mainstream type interview shows.
Not knocking Danny Jones or any others but, just confused where podcasts became entangled with Interview type shows and everyone comparing two types of entertainment.
And it works great.
Just do a regular sponsor advertisement man. When you sneak them in you come off as disingenuous. Imo
Brilliant on every level 🙏
I really like today's guest. This man is all about nature and being outdoors, fukn awesome! And the dude is cool AF! I try to catch all his podcasts and shows 👍🏼
People should question the dating methods of fossils. It's mostly 'experts' guessing or simply assigning years saying "Just trust me."
Has nothing to do with guessing at all. They are doing accurate examinations that give them an approximately accurate date.
Just because it seems mind blowing doesn’t mean it’s fake. That’s for real dates that can’t be argued at all which is why they aren’t.
@@bman1067The 'experts' are using carbon dating, mostly. Which is very inaccurate when affected by massive induction currents which happen every 12,000 years. Throws results off by millions of years.
I caught cobia on the back of rays after I saw the mud. It always amazed me when tourist would jet ski by conch key, or seven mile bridge or Big Pine Key not realizing the Bull and Lemon sharks are infested there

It’s super fun wading , fishing docks in Sebastian and having sharks, gators, and manatees lurking. Oh, and American crocs. Offshore the bottom fishing out of Sebastian and port Canaveral is a rough competition with sharks.
You should encourage certain guests to look at CURRENT research about what happened 12,900 years ago during the Taurid Meteor Swarm impacts. Most extinct megafauna are gone due to the combination of the impacts(fires, shock waves, floods, burned food supplies), NOT human hunting. hominids and our sort of human coexisted with megafauna for hundreds of thousands of years and never killed them off ;)
Of course, warming climates post glacial melting also impacted the tundra, as well as the absence of the mammoths.
That's great but nobody seems the least bit interested in the Peruvian mummies being deemed authentic by a dozen scientists through MRI's DNA, etc. What is everyone afraid of?
What do you think they're afraid of?
Why should we care?
Don't forget all the Elongated skulls of a different species of homo sapien they have been covering up for decades while they are literally on display in museums all over the world.
@@dubselectorr345 where is it proven they are from different species? I'd like to see that.
@@Walklikelionsthey aren’t considered a different species as of now but the studies are still ongoing. At first they thought it was a practice done purposely on infants to cause an enlongated skull, and that it somehow didn’t cause brain damage. However, they found many skulls that they found no evidence of artificially doing it and then they found a 7 month old mummified in-utero fetus with an enlongated skull. They seem to think that the enlongated skull humans were the upper class so some humans did it artificially on purpose to emulate it. As I said the studies are ongoing though.
