He, as well as others interested in the species never got any sufficient DNA samples to classify the species, but he made notes on the observations of the creature. I don't know how scientific studies are regulated in Colombia so maybe he needed solid data before being allowed to disrupt the creature to get a DNA sample, but I don't know. Since Galante got a DNA sample and tested it, it was technically him that discovered it maybe? I don't know if you looked at all the facts of the matter, or just read the one article. I just wanted to provide some more information before you solidified your opinion. I personally don't care if he did or not cause I don't follow any of his work, I'm just a joe rogan listener. *If there are any spelling or grammar mistakes I'm just gonna be lazy and not fix em edit: I lied about not editing

I remember seeing Forrest on Naked and Afraid season 2 years ago. Could definitely tell back then he was a very good guy with extensive knowledge and respect of nature. Happy to see he's out in the world doing great things. Great human 👍
He just talks to people. He's not a professional interviewer and that's why we like him. You repeat so much shit to different people as well. We all do. It’s repetitive to us; not necessarily his guests
This is what i love about people like Forrest or other biologists or conservationists etc. Is that they are trying to preserve every aspect of animal existance wether it be from natural/invasive problems or alot of the time from the destructive nature of humans. I also love that no matter if you are not educated in animal physiology or behavior but have done some research on certain topics, he is very humble and eager to learn ANYTHING new that he can.
I think this is one of Joes favorite guests. Every time Forrest is on, Joe is always mind blown by everything he says. Joe please bring Forrest on more often!

Understanding animal behavior, even on a small scale, can help understand human behavior. Were really not that far from other animals. Weve just figured out technically first and faster. But our general behavior is relatively the same.

Forrest navigates Joe Rogan like he does the jungle+ he listens to it. Forrest is one of those fairies with the right amount of curiosity and humbleness. My parents had a giant tortoise walk out of the woods into their yard years ago about two hours north of Atlanta, GA. It was an African Spurred Tortoise! Apparently it was a “pet” that broke out and had been wandering around the woods for months.
I love that when Forrest hasn't heard something or doesn't know something, he doesn't try to bullshit his way through it. He'll straight-up tell you, "I haven't heard about that," or "I don't know." That says a lot about a person. You can tell he genuinely likes to learn as much as he likes to share his knowledge.
But he also keeps it fun and is willing to bs about cryptids. Some of the experts he has on are very opposed to going too deep into the woods on anything.
Joe Rogan said he was supposed to be on a long time ago bit he can't remember why it didn't happen. It was back when Coyote was on The Fighter and the Kid podcast with Schaub and Callen. Joe has talked about the "crazy guy getting stung on CZcams" several times but keeps forgetting his name is Coyote. I hope he brings him on.

I love how easy their conversation is, no one talks over each other, they simply relay different stories back and forth between each other and appreciate the other person for their experiences

I think that’s probably why Joe has been so successful with his podcasts. He knows exactly how to converse with people. His communication skills makes his guests feel comfortable like they’re talking to an old respected friend.

Forrest navigates Joe Rogan like he does the jungle+ he listens to it. Forrest is one of those fairies with the right amount of curiosity and humbleness. As much as he has experienced he is always down to straight up listen, even if its listening to Joe Rogan talking to you about things he's heard or found on the internet meanwhile you actually lived it

My parents had a giant tortoise walk out of the woods into their yard years ago about two hours north of Atlanta, GA. It was an African Spurred Tortoise! Apparently it was a “pet” that broke out and had been wandering around the woods for months.
I love that when Forrest hasn't heard something or doesn't know something, he doesn't try to bullshit his way through it. He'll straight-up tell you, "I haven't heard about that," or "I don't know." That says a lot about a person. You can tell he genuinely likes to learn as much as he likes to share his knowledge.
But he also keeps it fun and is willing to bs about cryptids. Some of the experts he has on are very opposed to going too deep into the woods on anything.

I'm 46 now, and when I was about 12, I went into a cave near where I lived, right next door to Pipestem state park in West Virginia. I went into a shallow cave, had to crawl in and then it gradually opened up, very dark but I heard this gibbering and two humanoid hobbit looking things ran by. Scared me to death, I immediately left the cave, never went back, sokn after moved to Atlanta. But ever since, I know, there are litte hobbit/humanoid creatures running around, now, in these times

Not only is he brilliant, but... from an interview point of view, he’s easy to listen too. Nobody keeps talking over each other, nobody is yelling, he’s not doing anything annoying at all. Just very well spoken and carries himself with class. Great guest! Big fan.
