FSU has been my favorite team since i was a kid. My Dad took me to this game for my first FSU game. What a game, win or lose, it was one of the most epic times of my life, i was 12 yrs old. I was surprised how many PSU fans were there! I will never forget it as long as i live. GO NOLES!
Watching this gane as an FSU fan gave me a giant headache. I could not sleep that night. The offense was so inept and so many injuries. The game lasted almost 5 hours, I was happy when it was over. RIP Bobby and Joe.
Especially for being a die-hard Nittany Lion fan like myself! Official Penn State fan member since the '79-'80 season (second grade), so basically my entire life! My father and I got to enjoy it together!
It was only fitting that the bowl matchup between the two winningest D-I coaches ever involved three overtimes and missed FG's! Of course Penn State winning made it all the more satisfying! But when it finally ended after 5 1/2 hours, I believe everyone watching or those in attendance were exhausted! First thing I remember saying to my father after Kelly finally finished it was "Bedtime"! In the literal sense JS
Well actually Eric, Courtney Brown was a defensive end at Penn State! As a trio he, LaVar and Brandon Short were tremendous - so good that they eventually wore down towards the end of that '99 regular season because they were relied on too heavily due to our disappointingly inconsistent offense! But yeah Short and Arrington were a dynamic duo! Only reason I'd put the '05 LB group above them was the third link was better! Sean Lee just a tad overall more complete than Justin Kurpeikis! And although he (Lee) was only a freshman in '05-'06 he did contribute

Gotta giveRobinson a ton of credit for the job he did in 2005 but that PSU offense would have been unreal with a normal pocket QB.
I know it's far too late, but Congratulations to the Penn State Nintany Lions!!
What a great intro!
Imagine how much the media would cover this with modern college football
it would be a classic if they played in 2023
