- I finally made it to the top of Lovely Seat as part of The Dales 30 Challenge. Starting in Thwaite I walked up the Buttertubs Pass to reach the summit.

Hi Carrie, wet old day typical weather for this year so far, at least the sun came out at the end, right decision to go back down the quickest route, more speeding motorists for you to contend with, well done for getting another summit ticked off cheers nigel

Yeah, just wanted to get it out of the way so I can get on with some more interesting walks. Feet weren't too bad- wearing Hoka speedgoats so I have lots of cushioning :D
Enjoyed that Carrie...i think you made the right decision to retrace your steps...it's what we did on our Dales 30 walks...i see you have uploaded another walk..[ will watch that one tomorrow.

Interesting to see someone else's take on the Dales 30. I'm afraid I'm a cheater, having done LS twice from the top of the pass. Loved the melancholy thistles at the start too. 😎
There's no judgment here ( cheater 😋) !! I guess we all make up our own rules on how we want to complete a challenge ☺ I think I want to walk up them rather than just reach the summit by any means.
It was Lovely weather when I did this one and an even better morning with inversions in Buttertubs.Ever thought of wild camping and experiencing the morning glory Carrie? BTW when you do Yokenthwaite, make sure you put gaiters on and do it an after a spell of hot weather! 🤣Hot weather???
Hi Pete, thanks for the tip regarding Yockenthwaite. Yes, I have wild camped before and I'm hoping to start camping out again soon, just have a few other responsibilities at the moment. IDK what is going on with the weather?! :D
