- An amazing, top ten ever song for me. I never get sick of this song. This was recorded at City Winery in Boston on 7/22/23. Unfortunately, this was a seated show with food service. Please bear with the occasional heads and servers who get in the way of my shots at times. Zebra sounded amazing! They played their whole debut album in it's entirety.

I can't be the only one who got teary eyed listening to this.
It still gives me chills
@@smashmachine1144 just as good today ❤❤❤
You're right!
Great song, love the guitar work being a guitarist.
No. Lol. Your not. What great memories of seeing them in Poughkeepsie when they first started chills man chills
Gotta be one of my favorite songs from the 80's
Mine too!
Makes me wanna go back.
To the 80'S MY GOD.
Let’s f’n go
And that's why you should always respect your elders.ya never know what magic and talent they have in em.🎉 And I noticed this show was played 1 week b4 my 63 bday too. Old school rocks forever 🥳
What I would do to go back to 1981-89.
I hear that. The only bad thing about the 80’s is that they ended
One of the most underrated bands of all time.....along with the Good Rats......Strong Island sure put out some amazing music!
This song is a masterpiece!!
They can age as much as they want. The short amount of music they crafted will forever be embedded in me.💯💯
Amen😊
This song is one of my all time favorite rock songs.
Mine too!
They sound exactly like they did when I frequently seen them playing in a bar in Yonkers, New York in 1981
So great to see and hear this 40 yrs or so after loving this group in high school. Underrated band and song from when i was so much younger. Great memories! Thank you!!
I first heard this song on my Masters of Metal volume 1 cassette. They can still make me turn the volume to max. This was awesome
That’s where I first heard it too!
40+ years later, this is still EPIC. ❤ 🦓
Nice to see Guy healthy and to hear Randy's voice is back. Phenomenal album.
Zebra is one of my top favorite bands! 🥰😍🤩🦓🙏👍❤❗
I keep one of my guitars with the Zebra tuning (GGDGBD)
Love Zebra❤
Man I wish I could have seen this, had their album in highschool and hadn't realized until later in life how awesome these guys were. From the turn table this is the good stuff!
Sounds as good as in the 80's Would love to see these guys in Cali
In Santa Cruz hell yeah!
They are coming to Cali.
Blast from the past. Love this band. Just pulled the album out for a spin.
I saw them Saturday night 3/30/24 in St. Louis county.
They were awesome. Great watching them play. It was nice to feel young again for a bit.
Dude does anyone remember, this song was one of MTV s first big videos ,…The first one was the , Video killed the radio star , then there’s , The Warrior , Who’s behind the door, there was others I can’t think of right now but this was right about that time.
Great video as well!
Still has the pipes
brother you are awesome and Randy hasnt lost a single note and i envy you I saw Zebra At Hammerheads in Strong Island New York 11 yrs ago and they always used this song as their encore and totally brought the house down and the crowd to their feet
It still brings the house down.
It's great to see Zebra still rocking. I've loved them since the beginning. Thanks for sharing!!
Man, he hasn't lost anything over the years. That high voice / signature nasal falsetto is still intact. He sounds great. How is that possible? He must have taken really taken care of his voice through the years.
Awesome Awesome Awesome love. This. Band they still sound great
LOL as a kid in the MTV generation, I enjoyed this video so much, I suggested somebody try and do a cover of this song recently it's timeless, and damn Zebra they still got it, to hit the high notes. Much respect and admiration still
Holy smokes they’re still doing it!
Right?! "Not who has the most toys at the end... it's WHO PLAYS WITH THOSE TOYS THE LONGEST!!"
Damn he can hold that vocal a long time. I ran out of breath listening to him.
Lol
One of my favourite bands of my youth !
Very underrated band. Still rocking. Thankyou for all these years.
Brings back my Long Island roots...where they had their greatest success. I remember WBAB pumping them up daily. Got to see them as a warm up band at the Nassau Coliseum after a few smaller bar shows. Amazing band!
I met them in 1983 at Peaches Records in Clearwater, Fl. Bought their album that day and they autographed it..
Nice guys!
I was there also!
Used to live in St.Petersburg, for 42 years. 6 years ago I moved to the desert 🏜️ and I now live in Mesquite Nevada.
GREAT BAND, GREAT ALBUM!!
Got fired from my job at the Burger King for calling in sick so I could see their show at the Bayfront Center arena
I spent so long trying to sing like this guy...😂
The cassette was cranked up big time in college USF, Tampa.
Ah, shopped at Sound Advice? ;)
🎸🎹📣🎼🎵👍
Always dug this song
Thank you for sharing

Hugely popular on Long Island in the early 80’s saw them all over before album. Did see them after album dropped in 1983 in Syracuse at the Silver Dollar Saloon. Amazing energy and sound from this trio. Still great
Love ZEBRA ! ❤️✌️🎶
Remember when wenhad music stores? Im in anchorage in 83/84 at Robber Joes, a Mecca of cool shit & i see this album. Man i miss those days.
I really love this group and they are still awesome 👍!
Love this song!! I introduced it to my wife. She's like, " Is this yacht rock?" No, baby, this was on Masters of Metal volume 1!
Simply amazing!!
First live band i saw... early eighties, At the Chance, Poughkeepsie, NY.. Still a huge fan!!
Wow if that had been at the Meadowlands we would have gone but it was way out in Long Island so we didn't go. We were just 17! Long live rock!
You and your friends and family are lucky to have gone it was probably an epic show
I could be wrong here, but, as far I knew that Zebra only had one album( that I knew of) and their song who's behind the door has always been a very good song with me!
They have four, and are working on their fifth
@@smashmachine1144 Ohhh! Okay! Good
I have 2 of their albums and I think there may be a 3rd.
@@christinepavot8185 there are 4!
@@christinepavot8185 Ohh! Okay and I really haven't followed zebra through the years though!
Randy sure can play that guitar!
I've had the fortunate experience to have met Randy who helped my uncle with his charity Rock 4 XMAS
I was at that show. I met him there as well. Great guy.

@@smashmachine1144 Yep, I've seen that video before. My dad opened for them
Randy is humble and a great guitar and vocalist , I got to play the drums with Randy at club joges in Coventry , August 5th 2022 it was my daughter's 28th birthday party , I got to play who's behind door , one more chance , what is and what shall never be , and ramble on on the drums .
I enjoyed the band and what ever inalienable friends of trophy 🏆 and candor can put together in manors of meek cookie jar. Gratia aluria...
These guys rock
This song is a big part of my life soundtrack! Whatever that means!
Fuck I'm old. 40 years plus ago, I still love this band.
I was lucky enough to see them multiple times in New Orleans in the 1970's when they played at a bar on Elysian Fields Avenue. The entry fee was $1 if I remember correctly. I even took a whiz at the stall next to the bass player Felix. True story. They killed it every time.
Great band
I was there! Just behind you
Yeah, it was nice talking to you.
Had this song in my head for months going nuts trying to remember the band/song names! What a fabulous song and eradicate to live in!!
Glad you got your answers!
A masterpiece! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this.
Damn, that was awesome.
Loved it!
For the original cut 40 years ago he had a 4th band member kicking him in the balls to hit that high note.
Lol
😂
I don’t get teary eyed but I do remember back in the day when I used to love to listen to this Particular Album this song came from in my drinking days in the 80’s when I bought the album. I remember only playing this Whole one side of the album Every Time I Played it and it Was The Best Side of This Album. After All These Years the lead singer is still able to get his Voice Up and Sounds Almost as Good as he did on the Actual Album! 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
I still get goosebumps when this song comes on
Awesome
Such a clean sounding band...too bad most music today is goin to crap!!!
I saw them on the tour for this album at Madison Square garden. They were fantastic
My sister saw them in Philadelphia. With heart
Sounds like an awesome night!
Amazing. Worked this track and band back in the 80's when I was with Atlantic Records.
I can't believe I missed this show nearby.😢😢😢 That guitar sound is so unique. This is fantastic. 🤘
What a tune. Beautiful
Awesome..
love this song
Awesome band!
Zebra still got it & gets it!
sounds awesome! I have tickets for Dallas
Amazing song! Now...Tell me what you want!
La la la la, la la la la la....
Fantastic! I feel great! Love to see you live! What i wanted 😃🤩🤩🤩❤
Randy is such a great musician….
Absolutely. Can’t wait to hear their new CD
God I still love this band.
Me too
You are the best❤
I saw them in Baton Rouge every time they came in the mid 90's. Randy is 1 of the most underrated guitar players imho
Damn, that was awesome
That's my NOLA Boys!! \\ m // \\ m //
I saw them in 1984 in New Orleans at the UNO Lakefront Arena. They were the opening act. Followed by Survivor and then REO Speedwagon. Not long after that I bought their cassette tape 'No Tellin' Lies'... which I still have to this day.
Great job Tommy !
Thanks brutha!
I learned this in college in 1984. A guy showed me the tuning and i was able to do the rest
I want to say Zebra and U2 are probably the only active bands who still have the same original guys and never changed lineups (ZZ Top is close, but they had different cats early on, but pre-albums). That aside, what a great band! Everything meshes so well…so much coolness to dig in this tune- progressive and intricate acoustic passage, synths, drum pattern changes, falsetto vocals…pretty cool! 40 years later and still just as tasty!
Kings X too❤ I love Zebra
Fantastic
Randy is kind of looking like Brian Wilson
I was at that show I was on the guest list , saw them three shows in a row that was the second night
