With records charting from the 1950s to the 1980s, he became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville sound (a mixture of older country-style music with elements of popular music). Lyrics:
I love you because you understand, dear
Every single thing I try to do
You're always there to lend a helping hand, dear
I love you most of all because you're you
No matter what the world may say about me
I know your love will always see me through
I love you for the way you never doubt me
But most of all I love you 'cause you're you
I love you because my heart is lighter
Every time I'm walking by your side
I love you because the future's brighter
The door to happiness, you open wide
No matter what the world may say about me
I know your love will always see me through
I love you for a hundred thousand reasons
But most of all I love you 'cause you're yo
100% true
Leon Payne 1949, the blind singer and songwriter, maby he wrote it to his wife. And amazing song.

Jim died on my Father’s 40th birthday. Dad lived to 95. Never forgot Jim.
No autotune, no lip syncing, no cursing, no profanity,
Just pure talent, pure love song...

Today exactly 50 years are gone since Jim Reeves tragically died in an airplane accident (July 31st, 1964). After half a century, his velvet bariton voice still lives on in his timeless music. It has become world cultural heritage.
👍🏻 Lagu faforit❤ almarhum mamaku 🎶 ingat jadi ingat tentang semua 💞 sedih juga 😪 Terima kasih sudah berbagi 🙏🏻
Mooie compositie...mooi lied... mooi gezongen!
When my Granpa passed, he made sure this was played to my Nan at his funeral. If I ever get married, this will be my wedding song.

Absolutely incredible voice , brings back some beautiful memories of mom & dad who loved him
My late mother loved Jim Reeves. She was taken too young at just 49, and even though she has been gone over 35 years this song still moves me to tears. It is so pure and beautiful and it also sums up how I feel about my mother so I always play it on Mother's day and the anniversary of her passing March 7th. Thanks for posting this recording.
May God bless her soul dear xx
Wunderschön.So eine schöne ,sanfte Stimme.Einfach nur schön.
OMG! This takes you back
I love you because you are my best friend and no one has touched me on such a level as you.I feel like we are kindred spirits and my heart will forever belong to only you.A life without you is a life without air to breathe or eyes to see or hands to touch your heart and soul forever.

Even live he sounds amazing. That voice.
Yes, amazing, indeed xx
Back then they really could sing, not like today when they can make a chicken sound like he/she has got the perfect voice.
@@ErikNielsendk You can't just blame it on that... after the 90's music has become a lot simpler and autotune just fits the style of todays music. not that I personally enjoy it though
@@Alxyzz I know many use the technologi just fine and well but some hmm, sad though, many songs are good but not all are actually the real thing at all.
So sad that in just over 2 months he would be gone from this earth.

Hello
Perfection

Is that really Kenny Buttrey on the drums? I love his drumming, especially on Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan.
