I've followed him since his days with the Pozo Seco Singers in the 60s. Not only do I love his music, I admire the MAN. We have our Willie's and Possum's, and we love their music too. But Don brings a LOT to the table. He has written wonderful lyrics, and his voice has soothed millions. Gotta love this guy.

This song makes me very emotional, every single time I listen to it. Describes my life, remembering when I saw my wife for the very first time, she was 15 years old and I 17, since our first eyes contact, we knew our lives meant to be together. We found happiness together, we shared so many beautiful moments, and quite a few challenging and sad ones too. 34 years has gone so fast and I glad and so thankful we still leaning on each other. I pray to our Lord to give us many more years together. God bless everyone, be kind out there.

My father introduced me this music back in the early 90s and this still remains my favorite kind of music. We used to listen to this music on the old record players. I still remember those days. He is now old and once in a while we play the song together. I am 39 and he's 66.
