The thing about GT and Polyphony is their tracks and cars are so detailed it takes time. I'm a little confused about your comment that GT was holding tracks back...they launched with more than Sport and each track they given has never been in the game (both fan favorite fictional tracks were heavily modified and modeled) Same can't be said for Forza's "new" tracks. And the reason they can turn out so many cars is because they don't put any passion behind their models. You can see comparisons all over CZcams. Don't count out polyphony just yet.
Racing concept cars in GT7 is like flying paper airplanes in Microsoft Flight Sim.
With over 2000 hours, I think I got my money's worth with GT7!!

100% worth the money. Bought on day one, played a lot, bought PSVR2 on day one, played GT7 even more after that. I love it, for all its problems it's nevertheless my happy space. In VR the tracks feel like wide open spaces, bright and weather filled, and I even love the menus, cheesy jazz and all.
Overall, though I can think of loads of stuff I'd still like or it doesn't get right, I say "cheers Polyphany"

We need updated Group 3 and Group 4 cars.
And we need new tracks.
Gr.1 needs some updates too. Gr.2 either needs to be modified, new stuff added, or removed completely with the odd car choices.
Don't forget the current GT500 cars as well.
Kireth we don't want just modern road cars or modern racing cars. We want cars we grew up with. Remember that decade called the 70's and 80's or are you too young for that ? We have a lot of missing older classic icons from Ford, Vauxhall, BMW, Mercedes, Peugeot, Citroen, FIAT, Renault, Aston Martin, TVR, RUF, Pontiac, Chevrolet.
There is no Bentley, no Caterham, Lotus, Nobel, Koenigsegg, Apollo, SSC, No Ultima. Still McLaren's missing from the game as well. And what about older concept cars or rare cars like the Ford GT90, VW W12, BMW M1, Vector W8, Mosler, Ascari, Isetta. Forgotten supercars from all decades.
Some of the cars I am talking about were popular hot hatches we oldies grew up with. I could go on mentioning cars though.

Imo, they may get paid to include these vgt cars. This in turn helps fund the game. And possibly why we get FREE updates.
If you think about it, we bought the game once, and we get many updates, new cars, new tracks, new features. New daily races. I don't think we should really knock them.
You're totally right, we're lucky we don't have to pay for each set of new tracks and cars, still i wish they won't add any more cars like the Suzuki Jimny just because it's a nonsense for a motorsport game, Gran Turismo was born with sport cars ready to be tuned and gt cars ready to race, now i'm not saying they shouldn't totally add like "almost everyday" cars but damn we're screaming for the need of new gt3 cars.
Also, personally i hope for GT8 they'll add an in-game telemetry because that's essential for understanding where to improve.

You hit this right on the nose. I really want to play Gran Turismo, but now I am so put off by some of the DLC‘s and lack of cars. You mention IMSA and WEC and it’s like they forgot that those racecars exist.
Racing drivers have engineers and crew cheese that make the adjustments for them. I don’t race online anymore because I can’t tune. How about giving us three presets to choose from?
Like Assetto Corsa Competizione does. Some require fine tuning but the presets are very raceable!
Tunes are easy as hell to find on CZcams my guy you’re just complaining to complain. Have you tried actually finding a solution to the problem you face? Or have you just accepted defeat…

There hasn’t really been any VR interface improvements since it was made available a year ago. I can only think a higher up said "It’s done, finished, perfect, don’t spend another second of development time on VR". SMH
Definitely agree the VR mode could use some updates…. Mainly just want to be able to see the split times for the car in front & behind and the split to first place. Maybe there are issues with frame rate or quality but that would be my biggest ask on VR at the moment. Oh and also something to correct the issue on track like Daytona where you have to tilt your head to get proper viewing angle

Imo they shouldn't have even released VR yet. This was likely a contract they had to fulfill with Sony. But they should be prioritising improving the game not working on features that a small percentage of people use.
When they worked on VR they had to put off 1 of the monthly updates to work on it. And at the time the game was suffering from a large percentage of players been unsatisfied with the game.
I just feel like PD are out of touch with their community. People want a real GT6 like experience in the modern age but instead we got GT sport with tuning.
They are even turning off sport servers shortly after putting the game up on sale. What a shitty thing to do.

Race cars will and should always be the best option for new cars added. VGT should be like one or two a year.

It took nine years for gt7 to come out. This update is absolutely reprehensible, but why would they abandon 7? Gt8 isn’t going to be ready for a decade or more. There’s still sooooo many cars and tracks that are needed in this game.
One thing I would like in the new Gran Turismo 8 is to have cars that are actually different. Lots of cars in GT7 are just multiple skins of the same car that cost just as much.
My problem is that most of the cars in the game are outdated. No new Audi RS models, only one 992 Porsche, no S650 Mustang, no new Lamborghinis or Ferraris, no new BMWs or any new McLarens. We have lots of cars but they are all mostly 10 years old. And I especially want all the new era GT3 cars like the new Porsche 911 GT3 R, BMW M4 GT3, Ferrari 296 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2. And I would kill for an Acura NSX Type S or NSX GT3 Evo 2. But that all fine, we have the new Mazda 3 and Toyota Hiace Ambulance!

For real. The only time we ever got Australian Cars was back in GT4 with the FPV Falcons and Commodores. If Forza can add Australian Cars then Gran Turismo surely can.

100% agree with you. No interest at all in the VGT cars. I play it to drive all the different road cars, although I do feel slightly short changed with this version! As a few have commented, too many "samey" models....
I’ve gotten my money’s worth and I bought the PS5, my rig, wheel/pedals and the VR2 JUST for GT7. I love it. I do think if Assetto Corsa goes VR it could really give GT a run.

I have a different take on why were getting all of these VGT and special cars comes to GT instead of newer GT4, GT3 and Hypercars. We're getting free content because of alot of companies are paying to get their cars in GT7.

I got both FM 2023 at launch and GT7 a month later. I’m playing GT7 far more, hence I’m about to get Platinum, but there is still months of gameplay left in GT7,so that I’ll get a wheel. I’m planning revisiting GT Sport, since I maxed out what I do with a controller. Forza in the other hand keeps adding tracks but the single player stuff so far is there for a month and then gone. Meanwhile, GT7 adds new missions, licenses, menus, etc. that’s all content that stays there for one to do it at his/her own pace and ability. I only play Forza monthly because of FOMO, otherwise I would give it 1-2 years and revisit it when the game is properly ready for launch. 😂
One can only assume PD make more money from these affiliations than from the players. Needs to be stopped now, as one day games will become shallow and simplistic advertising mediums.
excited for the new vgt, i’ve got a is300, the gauge cluster resembles a designer watch, always been a fan of analog clocks in cars, i think the focus of that car is going to be the dash, and i think it’s going to be stunning.

Polyphony, if I wanted to play futuristic concept cars that will never hit the road I'd play Ridge Racer. Not a game that in my childhood was about "grabbing everyday street/sport cars I could afford in adulthood, modify it and race with it" and now seems more like an expensive 3D modeling showcase.
I don't see another Gran Tourismo coming until ps6. I think the Era of multiple gt games on a system is over. Besides, what would another GT this generation even add or change enough to justify it?
Just a side note: it's bUlgari (and accent on the U). That V is the U in roman alphabet (since it's a company based in Rome). Much easier to pronounce than you think 😅👌

I’m still waiting for the ‘98/‘99 TS020 and the ‘97/‘98 R390GT1, the Panoz Esperanto and their variants to complete the signature Le Mans series cars from past GT games. The amount of VGT cars have gotten absolutely ridiculous. I also miss ‘hunting’ down a concept car that can’t be purchased as a prize for winning a really difficult race.
Id pay another 70 for them to double the content up to now say another 450 cars and 25 more tracks
Throw the custom track editor from GT6 in there and i’d absolutely pay the same amount.

This game really needs some New racing tracks or different style racing tracks for different PP races and definitely some new cars that are more normal like road cars,race cars, more trucks and some SUVs maybe they could go that route. Or more endurance races that you can do that make more money. All of these are perfect ideas for them to do but I still enjoy the game. I have a lot of fun playing it new stuff like this would definitely keep it going.

I play everyday in daily races and have done 1000+ hours … I know and hear a lot of critics etc but I’m with you I really love the feel in this game and I’ve done a little bit of real life racing and this game gives me that fix I’m looking for I think it’s definitely worth the money
I think ur right. I have not really played much. The problem is that it's been out for 2 years and they have only just really started to sort the issues out like physics and whatever else. To me at least it feels like the game has just launched and they are gonna retire it now?
GT7 is for old-gen, GT8 will be NEX-gen only. Some of us do just fine on 'old' stuff & come here to whine.If you haven't played in 24 months then you wouldn't know about the 5 updates that changed physics. That part is trending correct. Shut your pie hole & get some seat time.
I agree .Why are there no formula fords or formula vee's .I think for historic cars that the tire model be reworked .Because prior to the seventies race tires were grooved and no slicks .
It’s no wonder there’s no individualism in games anymore. Games can’t define new, unique identities for themselves. They need to exist only at the whims of the entitled community. It’s like wanting new music from your favorite artist only to be upset when they grow artistically.
Gran Turismo will be fine. They made several “mistakes” according to the community over their illustrious history, and yet here they are, still one of (if not) the best option for racing several classes of cars available on console. The game offering is actually incredible. It’s a powerhouse brand and delivers time and again on quality bar none. If you want WEC, GTE, endurance, etc., we are blessed with many options for other games and modding communities that provide that. Invest your time and money there. Let Kaz cook and thank him later when you realize how he’s pushed this genre forward.
I just purchased GT7 for PSVR2 (holiday '23). I played GT Sport for years and know no matter what I'll get 100's of hours in GT7. My disappointment is all the cars no one cares about and not enough of the newer cars. ACC has all the newer GT3 (Gr.3) variants and I'm very disappointed at how old the race cars are in this game. I'd pay for cars just like I do for ACC, iRacing and Automobilista 2. We all know they use the same models with updates to them so they could easily add cars to GT7 and then 'port/improve' them for GT8 etc. It's not just the race cars either which I know isn't Gran Turismo's focus. I'm a BMW fan and there are no newer M cars from the current generation. Most cars seem to be from GT Sport. Less concept cars and more real life cars.
Same here, Santa got me PSVR2 and sport mode racing and manufacture & nations cup keep me interested in racing everyday.

As GT being my first ever time where I truly got myself into competitive racing as I’ve always loved cars and got myself into it late in GT Sport back in the peak of the pandemic in 2020, the fact that I heard about GT7 coming in 2022 already got me hyped up and playing it to this day since the launch I could never be more than happier right now as for what I look for in a racing game it’s already there for me personally 🤷♂️! But in terms of the updates, with the VGTS, I can most definitely agree and say that I don’t give a 💩 about them AT ALL AND WOULD RATHER GET AN ACTUAL RACE CAR OR BETTER YET A NEW TRACK AS THAT WHAT I LOOK FORWARD TO THE MOST MORE😤! Overall, the only complaint I have right now with GT is the penalty system since it’s just horrible tbh 😭. Hopefully GT8 they’ll be able to go back to their route from GT6 and older and deliver that to GT8 👍 (plus to also fix their penalty system and to actually start banning players for their dirty driving like if ACC and iRacing can do it, then why can’t GT 😂?)

I’m ok with more VGT cars being added to the game provided the money that PD gets from the brands for doing it means we keep getting more tracks and more licensed real cars for free.
I love gt7,there is an immersion factor that really hits the mark. I don't need 400 or 500 cars. I need more tracks. Not sure why we don't ,could they be just working on gt8 ???. The 3 new cars will sit in my garage untouched. Take most street cars to the scrapyard ang let's bring gr2,gr1 races to dailys Its a shame gt sport will end online this month , it could be used as an endurance platform.
They need to introduce caster adjustment and make the ai pit stops fair compared to the player because this is ridiculous lol
I dont mind VGT cars. PD is proud of thier collaborations and i get it. That being said, i agree that a watch company shouldnt get a car. Im still working on getting all 400ish cars, so i wont be bothering with this any time soon.

I preferred to exchange all these VGTs for one good M3 e36, Volvo V60 Polestar 2016, Volvo 850R (btcc) Alfa Romeo 147-156 GTA, Audi RS3, Megane R26, Golf 5 R32 etc etc. I don't know who likes these VGT cars??
Im not day one player or i play very long time...but gt7 must fix some things for me personally!
Get rid of the invitations
Put one daily race with big pay out!
Put 2-3 weekly races big pay out with different specs we have so many awesome cars that we don't use!
Fix the pit stop let my have the weather radar and other information active while im in the pits and if i miss click the option let me go back to the options!

I would prefer old street sports cars over those VGTs. As someone who has completed the game 100% and acquired all the cars I mostly play online and trying/playing with different setups to be more competitive. Moved to DR A in the last month and love the competition. Love the GR3 cars and would be nice if we can get more updates on those cars and even more a better BOP as some cars completely dominate certain tracks and sucks when you go in to race it looks like a specific manufacturer cup. After the last huge update I can't complain much. I know is hard for licensing tracks and cars and probably some of this garbage content is by them receiving money from the car makers that I hope that money gets put to good use. Still will keep playing, racing online and doing time trials. How about some missions
For 2 FUCKING YEARS I've been waiting for the current Super GT GT500 cars in the game... it's the ONLY thing I want in the game, because I love Super GT, I love the new GT500 Supra and the Z and I've been dying to have these cars because I like to detune them to do the WTC 800 races with them (specially the Spa race we all do it over and over again), the thing is that the RC F, the NSX and the GT-R are so old, you can't even give them the livery from current cars and pass the same feeling as driving the current GT500s, a similar problem that it is shared with the GT3s in the game.
And EVERYONE is practically BEGGING Kazunori for him to put these freaking cars in the game, it no longer is just me, it's a lot of people... and Gran Turismo sponsors Super GT IRL, I genuinely don't freaking get it why these fucking cars aren't in the game currently.
But hey, I guess we're getting the watch company car now... yeah... thanks Kaz, that's... that's what we wanted, yeah sure. /s
I like Gran Turismo, but I don't like one thing. The sport mode gets too much in it. You don't even have a chance to win the race unlocks at lvl50. Not even on easy difficulty? It's unacceptable. I like the VGT. Something unique, only Gran Turismo has. I'm really excited about the new cars too. Exactly because why I bought this game. Driving all kinds of cars. Sedans, minibuses, cabriolets, sportcars, vintage cars etc. Especially trying one day in VR. But sadly, there are no unique races. I'm not interested in sport mode, because I raced enough in real life. I'd like to drive cars I can't drive anywhere else. The only thing I'm interested in if sport, is the endurance races. At least I still can make custom races. I also disagree with custom races bad in GT7. Because you can't find a game, that lets you give the AI your cars from the garage. You can choose which one of the cars is racing there. The only sad point, the custom races give very little rewards. Honestly, if I'd want to race in GT3-GT4 or any other racing only cars, I'd go play Asetto Corsa, or Iracing. It's my personal opinion only, but you asked how I feel about everything. It would be nice if we get a bit less harder difficulty in AI races, and time trials etc on solo play on Easy mode. Because anyone who plays on Easy, wants to relax, not compete.

This is the first time ever on consoles that I don't have a current racing game, I gave up on GT7 months ago and forza is too much of a mess atm, PD should work on adding night and wet weather races to each track which would add more meaningful content and add more weekly races, Forza however has the content but is still a mess atm as for WRC it does not sound too good but have not tried it tbh, there seems to be nothing else on the horizon that I know about, pc gamers are well served with the sims atm especially those with help from LFM on AC and ACC etc its a shame they cannot work with the 2 main console games.

They are in a bit of a 50/50 situation. DLC new race cars to fund the licensing or lose online players to pc.
I want more road cars. Where is the hyundia i30n, where is golf gti, where is the auidi A3. We reallly really need some new tracks too. Also there is a huge lack of 4 door cars. I know this isn't important but i would love to see more saloon cars. There is no estate cars at all... give us the kia sportagè estate.

Assetto Corsa 2 is coming this year (at least on PC). My social life will end at this point.
GTsport rims, GTsport cars, 2 tracks added one of which is snow (p_p), brought back 2 forgotten circuits, NO IMSA, NO Cadillac, NO milage pts for rewards which in hind-sight better than roulette, NO prize cars, NO rewards for silver or platinum, weather is 'light-switch" at times, paint all still saves wrong, NO track board, NO audio cues..."Hey crew-chief, what's the weather doing?" or click' hey bud, your leading, just relax & hit your marks' as you slide out of corner.... Open roads would be name-sake, but that's Honesty, not Kaz.
All cars in this update are sponsored cars. I suspect more added cars are just provided by manufacturers for sponsorship. Why do we need the vgt cars? But also, why do we get so much mid size road cars (like the corolla or the mazda 3), only reason is that manufacturers like to sell those, and not the cars most people want
So it’s basically advertising. Obvious the watch company is paying to have their car in the game. What I want out of gt7 is more daily races. I want 5. And I want them spaced out better. I want to rearrangement of the entire circuit experience so I can jump into “quick” races, without deciding the car or map. I want dynamic weather like Forza. And I want a free roam option with traffic. Sometimes I don’t want to race, I just want to drive in vr
Paltry updates, that what this is. 2 vision cars and a Jimny. I love the Jimny but 2 vision cars in a total of 3 new cars has to be a sick joke no one appreciates. Coupled with the fundamental flaws the game still has 2 years since launch and no news abt new race content, this is PD's version of sticking the finger at us.

No Corvette C8 R. this is or any IMSA prototype cars. Even though GT7 has IMSA license, with Forza Motorsport being in the poor state it's in right. Honestly, I don't know how much longer I can play these games if they don't listen to the fans
GT7 is still brilliant but you’re right, true racers want to experience GT7 versions of real cars and real race series etc. VGT has its place but drivers want experiences akin to what those lucky buggers get to do in real life.

I absolutely hate all the VGTs. And yet you have to get them at a cost of millions of credits to get platinum. Yuck.

i just want my 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 in the game. Also I want to be able to drive left hand drive japanese cars. My miata is not right hand drive why am i forced to use it this way especially in VR its dumb
I personally loves VGT cars. I don't really care from what company the car is. The last thing non car company aded their car on Gran Turismo beside Bulgari was Nike with their Nike One and some people including me are longing for that car to make a comeback in 2022. But sure, Gran Turismo need to balance it with new real cars coming into the game.

couldnt care less about vgt, gr.1,2,3,4 whatever, i just like to enjoy tuning and racing road cars. I have 1000+ hours on the game, enjoy doing builds like best 400hp\ton cars or cheap car challenges ect. the Jimny could be pretty cool
I have personally worked on Grand Valley, and I can tell you that it was NOT kept as a finished track at launch.

I never cared for VGTs and never will... 100 VGTs and not a single old Lexus LS400, or a Volvo Wagon, or any wagon (RS6 ffs).... GT is a shell of it's formal glory.
I'm still mad we don't have the IMSA 300ZX.
