The Kora the English translation for the string instrument the man was playing at 12:50 is such a healing instrument to listen too. Also, when the artisan was making the pottery he made a very good point, it’s better to place your grocery goods in that which is natural not anything plastic especially something you purchase for nutritional or medicinal value. In the West, we are catching up to that comprehension for a variety of reasons placed in the airwaves.

This is a beautiful video. Mali seems to have kept a West African spirit, especially in the market place, despite the challenges of war. By not having the modern things, they have kept the traditional things. Many also look like the West Indians, such as Jamaicans, St Lucians, Antiguans and Trinis etc.

Thanks for persevering yourself by minimizing risk and understanding different feelings and expressions about being filmed. You live to film another day!

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful beautiful video on Mali. However, you have to understand that documentary video shootings goes with risk. Secondly, the people you mingle with are not from the same culture as you. Thirdly Mali is a country that went through a lot of political instability ranging from European sabotage the french and also from their own neighbouring country senegal and ivory coast. I think we the African should try to love one another ,respect one another that is the only means to stop external penetration from outside.
