Have a Glock 43 and thought it was small until I saw my son's 42. I shot it and now I want one for deep conceal.

Nice 👍🏻 I like your gun choices. I have a newer video showing the gun I have upgraded to for carry now. Still have my G42 but now I primarily carry my Canik MC9 with the 15+1 with V- Crown JHP. And running a red dot. I appreciate you watching!

Glock 42 is my edc and honestly it's close by me as I sleep so it's likely to be the first weapon I'd grab in a home defence situation as well even if I moved to a higher power weapon asap it would be in hand till I get there .

Great update King Raven. Living in California we have a 10 round limit for magazines. So I could still carry that one with the modifications you made.. I prefer three Dot sights, updated my Glock 19 with them.

Appreciate it Brother yes it all comes to personal preference and how you train. I have a couple 3 dot sights but my preference for sure is just night sight in front and blackout /plain rear sight. Appreciate you watching brother 👊🏻

I carry at home as well since I use a cane so have to have a tool to defend myself on me. Adding the +2 for each mag is an outstanding idea. If a person really needs deeper concealment they could have one 6 round mag and upgrade their backups.

Killer combo 🔥 it is a great backup gun and deep concealment gun. I have a friend that is like 4’11 and it’s her primary carry gun because it’s one of the few guns that fits her hands and she can shoot it well.

  • @bassingwithawesomejohnson3202

The Strike Industries extensions are as close to a "Glock 42X" as we may get, and they're a big step up from the traditional pinky extensions. The latter would just dig into the back of my palm, but the back of the SI is more like a full grip extension. They do hang down lower than a SIG P365XL's grip, but the weight and width saved are still night and day.
If you like their grips, Talon also makes dedicated grips for the SI extensions for only a couple of bucks. Also, if there's any concern about the length of the magazine springs, Ghost Inc. makes extra-power springs that seem more suited for these extensions (however, they are VERY stiff and need time [and, preferably, a loader] to break in).

I did notice on the Glock Store that there is a +4 extension for the G42 now thus a 42X...I may be in the market for G42. I'd use the +2 for concealability and the +4 as a backup mag.

@@phigdon3 a plus 4 would be great for a backup mag for sure

@Nick Glock 42/Subcompact .380 (like the new .380 P365) and I wouldn't look back: much softer recoil, flatter/thinner, greater capacity, faster reloading, proper front/rear sights, and semis still seem easier to take apart and clean (the cylinder of a revolver just seems stubborn to fully clean). The airweight, .38 snubbies are just plain unpleasant to shoot, especially in double-action, and while .38s might have a marginal edge shot-per-shot over a .380, the faster follow-ups and capacity of a subcompact .380 negate that. They do tend to work better for front-pocket carry (fatter grips and usually lack rear sights that could snag), not worrying about magazine springs, ease of use (the ole 'just keep pulling the trigger'), and versatility of ammo (like rat shot if you worry about snakes); yet as for the mythical revolver reliability, they *can* jam (ex. cylinder getting stuck from dirt or damage).

where those EMP mag extension seats into. Is that something after market or did your pistol come that way. Thanks!

@@ShieldArmsMy every day carry is a Glock 42 with Trijicon HD XR Night Sights and a 9 round ETS magazine fitted with an XGRIP for a full three-finger grip. I load the magazine with 8 rounds maximum, plus one in the chamber, to ensure 100% reliability. Ammo of choice is Underwood Extreme Penetrator 380+P. This combination has very little recoil, is very controllable and EXTREMELY accurate! I carry it 24/7 in a pocket holster and honestly it's so light and compact that I forget it's there. The best self-defense pistol is the one you never leave home without!

i have a G42 for days when i wear shorts etc.. cause my sig p365 9mm is heavy and i cant really pcket carry it without it pulling down on my darn shorts or pants.. and i cant IWB carry cause my belt or waist string wont tighten all the way and it pulls my shorts down.. and i dont like open carrying.. and sadly open carry is the ONLY way to mitigate the weight issue.. so i carry my G42

I can understand that I put the Strike Industries EMP base plate so it gives me a little fuller grip and 2 extra rounds without add almost no weight. So 9+1 of 380 acp and I carry Fort Scott Tumble Upon Impact solid copper rounds and spare mag of 9 more. I never feel unarmed with that setup!
