  • In this video, Cynthia shows you how easy it is to create a pattern from a line drawing. Using her Picture Piecing technique, you'll be able to design a quilt pattern that uses only straight seams, no set-in seams, to create detailed imagery in your quilts.
Visit our website at www.englanddesign.com to:
--Download the free dragonfly pattern from this video, on our Free Videos page so you can get started learning to sew our Picture Pieced quilt patterns.
--Purchase our pre-printed Dragonfly Freezer Papers (on our Products Page) so you can jump into sewing the Dragonfly blocks right away.
--Watch our Picture Piecing Sewing Techniques videos on our Free Videos page for detailed lessons on how to sew these dragonfly blocks and all of our patterns.
--Purchase Cynthia's new Landscape Design Workshop DVD which takes you through the whole design process from start to finish (available on our Products Page).

This is fantastic! I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to create my own FPP pattern from a photo but learning your methods made it a lot easier. Just ordered your book and can't wait for it to arrive!

Why don't you just make the object & background separately, then simply affix the object to the background? That seems much easier. The object can have fusible added after, or use fused pieces from the Starr, like Emily Taylor`s parchment method.
I like the KISS principle. It suits my lazy nature & simple mind 😄

You can scrap my comments. They don't apply to foundation piecing. Too difficult for me. 😄
