Sri Lankan dealers are sending Sri Lankan Soldiers to Russia stating that they be occupied for supporting jobs but they are send to front lines. I am a Georgian who has been protesting in, studying and living this reality, which Arthur describes.
We Georgians, just like the Ukrainians, the Baltic nations, we felt the chilling, rotting hand of the Russian mass, and it brings nothing but distruction.
From the moment of our declaration of independence in 1991, we wished for a European future, my family, grandma and grandpa, could see the hustle and bustle of Western Berlin, and the hollow, shallow death in East Berlin, and wanted the same life for their nation.
This has been the case since 1918, we were fighting for a advanced, civilized, European nation for over 100 years.
We Georgians want Europe and condemn every inch of Ruzzia.
Some of us fight on the front lines of Ukraine, Most of us fight here for our future.
Thank you Arthur for covering my nation in your videos.
It means a great deal to us, being seen and talked about.
Only apologies i have to offer, is that our government, is aiding russia, and it pains me, and gets in the way of every, proper, human being.

You are aware that a peer to peer war which nobody would want to fight would be 1 to 1 losses. Russia and Ukraine aren't peer to peer. Russia is a super power with three times the population and with vast weapon stockpiles and a battle hardened military and a warrior culture. And the real figures are on average 3 to 1 in favor of Ukraine? Sometimes 10 to 1 in some defense battles? Not even China would have done so well against Russia as Ukraine has. Also, most European countries would have surrendered already. That means Ukraine is currently one of the toughest fighting forces on earth. Glory to the heroes!

Russia is a country of 144 million people (over 3X the population of Ukraine) and many of the ethnic people far from Moscow and Saint Petersburg are considered totally expendable by the Putin regime.
Russia also conscripted many Ukrainians into the armies of the DPR and LPR giving Putin even more soldiers that he has no fear in losing if it is useful in attaining his goals.
Tens of thousands of Russian soldiers (many now dead) were prisoners in jail in russia for a wide range of crimes, again total expendables.

In the Vietnam war, most American soldiers were around 19.

I understand the need to create defenses some distance from the actual border. However, given that Russian forces already invaded once along this front when the war first started in 2022, it was logical to assume they might try it again, and they did exactly that. The border line itself should have been reinforced to slow the Russian's down by way of tank trenches, minefields, dragons teeth and anti-personnel mines. It wouldn't have stopped a large attack but it would certainly have slowed them down to the point where Ukrainian forces had more flexibility in moving troops around to reinforce weak points. Proactivity always trumps Reactivity.

Were the defenses inspected at any time? As the defenses were built up over time; the progress of the work needs to be documented, and those documents need to be reported and kept secret. My fighting positions I dug were first visited by NCOs, sergeants ( a soldier with higher rank), and then visited by soldiers senior to them.
Going forward, all border defenses should be inspected by those who are responsible and then by those who are accountable. This would not have happened in the US military. I am not saying that we would never have defences that can be overwhelmed. But the specific failures would not have happened due to oversight.

I'm so glad I live in the US where my speech can't be outlawed depending on who's in power at any particular time. Outlawing speech and political parties is evil, even when it's not the russians doing it. There is NEVER an excuse for it so don't even try.

If the US could draft 19-year-olds to fight in Vietnam, why can't Ukraine draft theirs to defend their own country?! I don't understand why the lowest age is 26?!

You really don't want 19 year old conscripted soldiers. Many don't have the maturity to fight within the Geneva Conventions.
