Here was an 96 years old woman acting to a CGI character - and delivering her lines perfectly. Awesome.
Are you saying Paddington isn't real?
@@geoffpoole483 sshhht, never ask :)
She did great talking to Paddington.
@@wn8022 She did even better parachuting with James Bond.
@@geoffpoole483 no, they're clearly talking about the teapot. Since they aren't real and tea is just a myth, it had to be added with cgi.
“Thank you, for everything” this hits differently today. Thank you your majesty for your service and your dedication to our country. We won’t ever forget you, you will be very much missed our beloved queen. 🤍🌹🇬🇧
Well said, we will never see her like again RIP our lovely Queen x🌹🇦🇽
What service?? She was a figurehead, basically an actress playing a role. Parliament and prime Minister have the job of running the country.
@@purpleplump6650 That's literally all you will ever see is royalty just like her because the title handed down inside of the family. Its the text book definition of nepotism. They dont get the job because they are qualified for it they get it because they were born. It will literally never leave her family bloodline. Lets be honest though they don't anything they are just figureheads that look down on people. People are legit required to bow to then but then they dont return the bow. Basically saying you are required to worship and respect me but i don't respect you

My favourite part of the sketch is when the Queen plays We Will Rock You on her tea set.
As an American I whole heartedly agree. The second Elizabethan era gave us a whole new world. Every nation should recognize her example and feel her loss. God bless The Queen may angels guide Her with grace into rest.

Truly an era has ended. We we never see another Monarch with her level of grace, kindness and beauty. It is wonderful that she had an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy her Jubilee. I loved the Queen's interaction with Paddington Bear; it shows her wonderful sense of humor. My sincerest condolences to her family, and the British people. But as long as she is in people's minds, she will never die! You don't die until you're forgotten! My respect! Greetings Nephilim

Here in the States, I felt like that about Diana. Gone too soon. Still a young lady, had admirable causes. Miss them both very much.
She was more German than English, so you're welcome
Many of us in the US have always loved and admired her also. The world is truly a lesser place without her.
What did she exactly do
@@reallymentalpig1173 Over 70y, she supervised advised guided and warned her government in their work. That's her constitutional role.

This was a MEGA-moment in British Royal history. Too bad Freddie himself wasn't there anymore to perform 'We will rock you'.. He would have givin' it all..💞
I was in the Palace ground for this. Still melts my heart.
Oh dear. Watching this again has brought the tears back. They're rolling down my cheeks. Yes ma'am, thank you for everything. I was fortunate to have met both Her Majesty and Prince Phillip, and that's a day I'll never forget, two wonderful people, sadly no longer with us. Much missed and never forgotten.

Queen of 25% of the world at least.
As Paddington said “Thank You. For Everything.” This is what many millions would have said to her face to face for all her years of faultless devotion and tireless duty.
Now let’s celebrate her life and 70 years as the Queen in the true sense and set it in stone for the history books
QUEEN ELIZABETH THE GREAT. 1926-2022.
Paddington's words have become very poignant; but it's worth watching the Queen play "We Will Rock You" with her crockery. For all those sad that her reign is over, smile that it happened.
He said thank you for having me... How are you all fucking it up.
1:30 “for later” 😍 That line hits me every time. After 70 years, we finally found out what the Queen kept in her handbag… Absolute genius decision for her to do this sketch 💛🧡💚
But get it, as in her life, so in the sketch, the bread in the sandwich is Jesus.
She carried Him with her through life (more and more so as she grew older), and knew she would meet Him "later".
In fact, she died 96 days after the above was shown, aged 96.
@@sidpheasant7585 I'd wish people would stop imposing and assigning their own belief system onto others. It is utterly bad manners.
@@palmereldritch7777 I'm in good company, then, since the Saviour who died for you as well as me was occasionally "bad-mannered" too. You don't have to take any notice of me, but I would never forgive myself for failing to act for Jesus as we enter the times we are entering...
@@sidpheasant7585Humans have sinned with or without a godhead. Just a matter of morals. Assigning your belief system unto others is not good taste, nor morally right. christian or not. Jesus would be aghast if he could see what has been done in his name.
@@palmereldritch7777 of course you are right in some ways, but I do hope that "aghast" bit does NOT relate to me, and is rather a generalised comment. The gentility inherent in your words about "manners" and "taste" has a certain Edwardian charm about it, but it does not sound very 2020s, not because morality and standards can no longer apply, but because these are times of desperate awfulness and evil. The Queen with Paddington was very possibly the single most wondrous and touching and meaningful thing in the whole year, or possibly at any time since this decade began, so I obviously I want to tell people the "good news" about it, as I see it, given my capacity to "see". But this is based on joy and love and enthusiasm and truth in the face of all the mean and meaningless chaos. I do not push or lobby, certainly do not hurt, but I do write on what is good and right and has value. I gain nothing worldly from this, only the exquisite joy of serving the Lord ... to whom I am very grateful. There are no bad manners in love and thankfulness, in my view, all the more so as the Late Queen was indeed a committee Christian, so the comment is explanatory, from me in relation to her. I indicate a meaning or significance, no more than that, no less than that...
The “Thank you for everything” made me burst into tears
I never tire of seeing these two icons enjoying each other’s company. Thank you - for everything.
I’ve watched this 100 times and never tire of it❤
Me too❤😂😢
Same here
I have lost count of how many times I have had to fight to retain my composure. I really should just let the grief all out. I never met the Queen. But I know this...I loved her. I am Canadian. I have only been to England once and that was when I was a high school student in 1973. The Queen was not at Buckingham Palace during my visit to London. But I will tell you where she is now--still in my heart.
That's rather lovely...
This will be watched over and over again showing why the Queen will be missed, just a classic moment to mark her 70 years.
Looking at this now is absolutely special. R.I.P Queen Elizabeth, you will be missed.
This was a wonderful sketch done by The late Queen and the Paddington Bear team. Follow it up by a great rendition of we Will Rock You in front of the Victoria monument. I'm an American who's only had one opportunity to visit London. I absolutely loved Westminster and Buckingham Palace. Yes I did get to tour it. We don't have royalty here for good reason but I respect the institution in Britain. Primarily because the queen was such an honorable person. She had a long life and a very happy marriage. Shame her children had problems but she was well loved by her family and her people. When Paddington thanks her for everything I think we all get a little lump in our throats. I'm glad she got to live long enough to enjoy her Jubilee. May she rest in peace. I only wish I'd been there for this awesome concert and party
You don't have royalty for good reason. What does that mean?
@@MsShoosh1 The USA abolished all forms of aristocracy when we founded our representative democracy. We choose to elect our leaders rather than have them inherit the title. Or at least that's the way it's supposed to be here. I respect the history of my country. It doesn't stop me from respecting the late Queen Elizabeth II and the charitable things she did with her role in life.
I will always love the expressiveness of Her Majesty's face throughout this skit, along with her wicked sense of humour. May you finally rest in peace and rise in glory, Your Majesty.
I've always admired Queen Elizabeth II. She truly is like the grandmother of the whole world
The Queen had an amazing sense of humour and there will never be another monarch like her.
After nearly an half year, I, a Japanese, still find myself unable to watch this clip without crying.
She didn't have to act, she would have been as much accomodating as to Paddington Bear to me, if such an honour of having her presence, unintentionally lacking royal protocols even though I lack some of them.
Tomorrow: the 6th February, would have marked her 71st anniversary of accession to the British throne and I would celebrate it personally just as usual, while hoping that her beloved son, the King will have a wonderful coronation for the UK as well as for his Realms.
Thank you for that from a Brit! 🇬🇧❤️🇯🇵
Freddie would have looked divine on that stage.
I can only imagine him singing...
I reckon too. That stage is epic.
“Thank you for everything” really hits differently now, we will never see a monarch like her majesty ever again, thank you for everything and may you rest in eternal peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾😥
She probably wasn't in the best of health when this was filmed. Paddington's words turned out to be very poignant.
I’m almost embarrassed to say this is the first time I’ve seen this because I wasn’t interested in the concert. I did quite well until Paddington’s ‘thank you for everything’. That choked me up. It was so lovely to see the late Queen’s almost childlike joy in this, you can see it in her eyes. I have to say I think the King is doing very well, but I still miss the Queen very much, and the late Prince Philip, who I had the great pleasure to meet when I was young. God bless them both.
Thank you for everything 😢
1926 - 2022
"And thank you.. for everything" 💔💔💔💔my heart is with the royal family and the people of the UK and Commonwealth💔
Not a royalist - but I miss her - she has always been a constant - god save the queen - long live the King.
She must have known how little time she had left, you can see she'd lost weight, but the fact she managed to be so warm and gracious, and smile, ...this is possibly the only time I'll ever use the word "precious" without a sarcastic tone.
Lovely comment. Her Late Majesty had not just a real sense that duty was something that was hers to perform every day, but that, as far as possible it should be done with kindness and humour. Despite her most exalted position she was never anything other than a humble, Christian lady. The Paddington sketch will, I think, be one of the iconic moments of her reign.
This is how she should be remembered,as a kind lady with a great sense of fun,not just the Monarch.
Paddington summed it up perfectly. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING MA'AM 💜🙏

What a beautiful moment, brought a tear to my eye, bringing back such happy memories. What woman she was, and the Paddington Bear was a lovely surprise for everyone. God Bless Her, it is his time now to take care of her.
Of course, she knew her time was nearly up (she died 96 days after this, aged 96).
But she noted that she had the bread (and marmelade) in her symbolic handbag "for later".
The Bread is of course Jesus...
The first time she let her hair down in this way was at the 2012 Olympics (out of love and respect, we Brits cheated in this extension of her involvement in the Games, as normally the leader of the country is restricted to just the opening words). She achieved this trick thanks to James Bond, and it was a joke for the adults.
Ten years later she did the above with Paddington, for kids of all ages, so that even the youngest might remember her after she was gone.
Paddington is the creation of Michael Bond.
Bond to Bond.
Bond means ties of love and genuine truth, though the indirect meaning of the surname is "farmer". But of course a farmer has ties (legal and other) with the land, so the ultimate meaning is the same.
Do not think all of this is by chance!
Nothing beautiful or meaningful in this world is.
So your last sentece, polly, is absolutely spot on.
