Seen them live a few times. Tightest, most intense and full of energy band I've seen.
A MUST to experience if you ever have the chance🙌

Good shit dude. You are the first reaction channel I've seen talk about Joe's vocal maturity in that there is a layer of vulnerability in his voice as he has more control over his screams. This is ultra-prevalent in the album they were touring at the time of this show - L'enfant Sauvage. Keep digging into Gojira, love to see it.

Gojira is so impressive that I'd almost consider them more of a magic/mind altering performance act than a band 😂
They have 100% transcended metal into a straight up cathartic psychological experience.

    cool reaction as always !
Gojira :the way of all flesh , live garorock ( starts as heavy death metal stuff end up with tribal trippy vibe..and with the visuals live it's great )
Space time , the link alive
From the sky live bordeaux 2009
    Love , live garorock
Death of me ,the link alive
The art of dying live garorock

Good morning from New England...My top 3 Gojira songs...It took me 5 months to learn this on drums..And the Brixton Academy show is in the top 5 Gojira shows...It's so cool seeing someone discovering Gojira..There is sooo much to this band and they never seem to run out of ideas....This is one of Joe's hardest vocal performances..That middle blast beat section took 2 months just to nail bc the transition you spoke of they came in on the AND of 4 instead of on the 1 so it sounds disjointed..And the speed comes from the wrist and fingers not nessasarilly the forearms. And yes Mario drops in those hits on the bell with snake like speed. Peace from the Northeast...

The last minute of backbone is just the most hard going shit I have ever heard. I'll listen to that part about 3 times/backbone.

From Mars to Sirius really is seen as their masterpiece. There are def top tier tracks in this one, ithink it actually wouldn’t be a top 3 Gojira album for me. Not a hugefan of the mooshy crushy guitar tone. Next up i’d suggest Clone studio (first track of their very first album) and the live version at Garorock. That to me is prime Gojira. Cheers man, good content.

Agreed, Garorock 2009 is the peak of their powers. Joe had ascended to another level.

@Idk indeed, like i said, FMTS, their 3rd album is seen as their masterpiece, but to me, there are too many songs on the album, that are kind of meh. 2 albums that are very consistent for me are Terra Incognita and TWOAF. The link has actually also epic tracks, but not a huge fan of the mix in that one, but these tracks live, i think it’s some of their best tracks period. Comes down to early Gojira is my favourite i guess, although i really like L enfant Sauvage and Magma too in different ways.

I think generally the older listeners tend to be all in for Mars to Sirius, but critical listeners tend to favor L'enfant Sauvage.

I should double check if you done it but dude, you gotta check out any of their stuff from their performance 'The Link Alive'; Space Time, Clone, Remembrance ... Anything! It will destroy your brain.
