They should add some subtitles so the meaning of the song doesn't get lost 🤏🤏with the live performance on that Huge stage of EUROVISION
The only thing I could imagine to shorten the song is skipping the first chorus. Reducing from a verse-chorus-verse-chorus-verse-chorus to a verse-verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure imo wouldn't affect so much the meaning of the song as the three choruses don't differ that much. And, who knows?, maybe the song could sound even better because would lose in repetitivity.
Very simple stage, maybe huge subtitles on the back like Viv val suggests. They are beautiful, talented and fashion. The song it’s in any case the winner about the streams… did you check Spotify? Over 40M.. in two weeks. What else?❤️🔥🇮🇹
Very simple staging with piano.
The piano player is Michelangelo, who wrote the song with Mahmood and Blanco and also the producer, I think he'll be on stage at eurovision, too.
Honestly, I`m having trouble even listening to the other songs because nothing compares to this. I especially loved the live version from San Remo because the staging was so beautiful and there was an orchestra. I saw the stage for Eurovision today and I really don`t understand why they did`nt just pack up everything from San Remo onto a few trucks and move it all to Turin, it was so much more impressive. I`ll be very disappointed if this song doesn`t win , but then I was also shattered that he didn`t win with Soldi. Best of luck to Italy and Mahmood & Blanco they definitely have my vote

D'you know what is special to me about this song? That when it starts you forget about Eurovision and whether it wins or not or whatever else. It takes you by the hand on a journey into yourself

The special thing of this song is Mahmood talks about his troubled gay love story and Blanco talks about his trobled straight love story; they recognise they have the same feelings, the same problems of incommunicability, they find sometimes they are stuck between their passions and their fears, they find they are both fragile and they love each other for this. They are like two birds flying together up in the sky, naked with chills, equals in their fragility. It’s a message of pure equality that means you don’t need to have sex to love a person, you just need to feel the same of that person. So nice to see how a song can connect people. This is the power of Music. I think it's quite impossible that the hosting country wins twice in a row, but who cares? What makes me happy, as Italian, is to see so much appreciation for young artists. Hope to see you in Turin!
Spain has won the Eurovision Song Contest twice in a row. The first, in London 1968, with the song "La, la, la", performed by Massiel, and the second in the following year, 1969, with Salomé performing "Vivo cantando". And then...the great drought...! 😅

Just so you know, Mahmood's a stage name for Alessandro Mahmoud, and Blanco is a stage name for Riccardo Fabbriconi. So, if you check out interviews, they are addressed sometimes as Ale(ssandro) and Ricky/Riccardo.
And the video was shot in Amsterdam. Personally, I prefer their live performance; I see the appeal of the video, but it seems a bit standard videoclip shooting, full of wide angles and scenery, whereas in the live version you can just focus on the song.

my almost 10 year old daughter said instantly that she loves the song and she fell in love with it (even without listening to the other songs lol 😜) but it says a lot about the song and the excellent performance .

I am happy that you like our song 🇮🇹, about the performances, Mahmood is classy and serious but Blanco is popular for being a pretty wild guy, then I am sure that their performance is going to be great. I can't wait!!! Now we are waiting for San Marino results because Achille Lauro is partecipating to the San Marino Selection, he was in Sanremo too. He is not such a great singer like Mahmood or Damiano from the Maneskin, but he is a great performer, showman and style icon, then I really hope to see him as well in Turin representing San Marino... Loved your insight on the song and the clip especially when you talked about Mahmood's usual style in clips and I'd also add that Blanco's "vibe" can be seen too in the kind of freedom in biking and just jumping on the piano vibe (in all his music videos there's some form of nature or just him having fun). You have reacted to the live performance as well so you know their chemistry and their power on stage... I don't think they are going to do much on the staging and it'd be fine for me. I can't wait for you to get to know Blanco as well as Mahmood...he's not really a rapper or at least he doesn't call himself that because his songs are not rap songs (maybe one or two)...he's like an hyper active gremlin but he's so so sweet.

Mahmood grew up with his single mum in the suburbs of Milan, he hardly had a glamorous or privileged upbringing - which is maybe the reason he's showing a gritty side of Italy here. As you probably know from "Soldi", he and his Italian mother were abandoned by his Egyptian dad when he was just 5 years old. He says he owes everything to his mum, who was heroic in bringing him up on her own and always believing in him. Mahmood hasn't had it easy and he deserves ALL the success he's having now. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the fact that he's now starting to become an international star.

Italy Wins twice in a row. Incredible song.
I identify myself a lot with the massage Mahmood and Blanco want to portray with this song… that there’s no need to categorize relationships or underlining sexual orientations, but, by portraying relationships in the same way and with exactly the same fears and problems, finally can pass a massage of equality stronger then any declaration. Mahmood is been attacked many time for not declaring anything (without hiding either, just being himself) but i truly appreciate his coherence in this and he’s just an example that there are many ways to be yourself and all those should be respected.

Mahmood did not expect a victory again in Sanremo also because on the podium was together two important names of Italian music with many followers if you look at the victory he was almost embarrassed .. But Italy for the second time wanted to reward him .. In the interview after the victory he said that he still does not know how to present this song to Esc maybe the change in English but Blanco said no no.. I hope it remains minimal them a piano with their Voice for me enough 💓💣They fill the stage even without too many frills

Hey Guys! Hope you've been well. It's always a pleasure to see how genuine and fun you guys are. I'm catching up on some of the songs now as I'm starting to look at them on my channel. My thoughts on this one - I'm worried about how it will go down as a first listening. This is such a beautiful song and is such a grower. It gets better and better each time you listen to it (I just edited my video and like it so much more now than I did when I sat down and watched it for the first time). From a musical standpoint, I was very worried about how the first verse is just so overwhelming melodically and as a result ma struggle to grip those who hear it for the first time when it's performed on the Eurovision stage.
That being said, this is definitely going to do well! Thanks as always!

you can't touch any words or pause without compromise the poem, especially after you've listened and listened to it again
however try this, the first two piano chords can be omitted and mahmood sings after only one chord, so we will have gained 8 seconds.
