    ----INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO APPLY THE STACK----
    THE STACK: how to layer 2 coatings for ultimate slickness, gloss & self-cleaning properties!
    You only need one layer of DIY Detail Ceramic Coating. But so many of you have been asking: can I apply 2? If so, what do I need to know???
    Stacking coatings isn’t the same as multiple coats of the same product. With our coatings, you can stack the 3 year Graphene Ceramic Coating over our 5 and 8 year Ceramic coatings. Why would you want to do that? It gives you the benefits of the 5 or 8 year coatings, plus the characteristics of the 3 year Graphene coating. This means you’re getting extreme slickness, higher gloss AND water spot resistance. Plus enhanced self cleaning ability.
    Here’s what you need to know about application.
    There’s a window of opportunity to stack coatings, 2-8 hours. Before the 2 hour mark, the 3-year will damage the other coating you’ve already applied. In the window of opportunity (2-8 hours after applying that first layer of coating), the 2 mix together to become another coating - enhancing the properties of both. After 8 hours? Instead of combining the coating, you’re simply adding the 3-year coating OVER the other.
    As always, let us know if you have any questions. And happy detailing!

    As someone who works for Enterprise, I cry every time we wash a car using their preferred methods. A bucket with no grit guard, harsh chemicals, and worst of all: a horrible brush that we reuse on every single car. It's heartwarming to see you guys finally give an old fleet car some love.

I asked this on another video(and have not gotten an answer), but I hope you can do a video on how to deal with an older car with exterior plastic/rubber trim that has been oxidized.. My goal is to do a full polish, decon, etc, but don't fully understand how and where to integrate a trim restoration product along with your ceramic coating post polish/panel-prep..

    When determining the "usable life" of your coatings, what percentage is that based on? 40% of it left? 10 percent? Zero?
    For example, most people don't use all of the tread on their tires, most of us assume them to be unusable at maybe 30% or so.

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Před 6 měsíci

      The only way to remove the coating is through abrasion. As long as you don’t abrade it with a polish or very poor wash techniques, it will not wear off.
