That line was an in joke. Tyne Daly had just finished a Tony winning run in Gypsy as Madame Rose. The shows final number ends with Rose standing on a dark stage alone repeating the line For me! over and over.
Tyne Daly is a wonderful actress, and I loved her both in *_Cagney and Lacey_* and in _*Judging Amy*_.

At the end they are both doing their day after rituals and realize that although they don't remember it's quite possible they actually slept together 🤣

It's also an allusion to her role in GYPSY, where she says, "it wasn't for me," and then ends her number with "for me! For me! For me!"

The actress, Tyne Daly, starred in a Broadway revival in the early '90s and even won the Tony Award for her performance, which got raves. The whole production was very well-received.
