Can I just say, that's some fantastic Irish pronunciation at the beginning of the video ! Go raibh maith agat !
An odd thing about trucking in Ireland is the prevalence of trucking jackets with catchphrases like "never late in a v8"
Do Italy next!
I second to this
Yeah I third. Italy will be cool
Yes.
@@VectraVX I fourth

Hey Yukon, didn’t think I would see a video based on Irish trucking as it’s fairly straight forward for a content creator such as yourself but that said it is no less appreciated seeing the boys and girls getting recognition. My da and cousins are truck drivers and I’m currently learning the ropes.
Ireland's only had one domestic truck manufacturer, unlike their neighbors from England and Scotland. This truck manufacturer was called Dennison, and they're still around today as a trailer manufacturer. Dennison entered the truck market in the late 70's, and if my memory serves me right they were active in the truck market until early 80's. Dennisons are similar in design to the Dodge L-1000 we had in the US in that they are very simplistic, boxy trucks that look like someone designed them on their lunchbreak with a straightedge. Part of the reason for this was because Dennison didn't use their own cabs, choosing instead to use cabs from Foden, and later Sisu. Dennison had three models: a 4x2 tractor for general work, a 6x2 tractor for heavier cargo, and an 8x4 design that was used exclusively for dump trucks. Only 250 Dennisons were ever made and they are very, very rare, kind of the European equivalent of the Dodge Bighorn. If you ever visit Ireland, I suggest taking some time to try and find one, I promise you it's worth the effort.
The nearest neighbour to The Republic of Ireland is actually Wales and not Scotland or England. Before Brexit the majority of Irish Trucks would use the ferries to The Welsh ports of Holyhead, Fishguard and Pembroke Dock.
Please do an Albanian trucking one, as a country without a modern railnetwork, almost all domestic freight is transported by truck there. I would love to see that episode
ooo interesting!
Im waiting for it still to this day
Hi Yukon, thank you for these interesting videos! Could you maybe cover the Kingdom of Jordan for your next video?
Or Saudi Arabia
Hello Yukon! Can you do Romania next? I'd love to see that :)
+
so glad to see our island covered. great work!
Please, can you do Jupiter or Saturn next? Seriously, I'll watch whatever has to do with trucking and geography. I appreciate you!
Jupiter and Saturn are planets not countries.
Trucking on Jupiter goes hard 💀💀
@@DrivingGod21 I don't think rovers can tow that much🤷♀️
@@albinoguidedog not with that attitude
Old Uk/irish work vehicles are so pretty. They're all so bright and whimsical and decorated
would be awesome if you could cover poland, we have one of the largest trucking industries in europe:)
I would love to see more about trucking in South America.
Id like to see you cover Norway and sweden
Another way you can spot an Irish truck rather than just looking at a bullbar is through murals. A lot of Irish trucks have murals on the back of the cab dedicated to someone or something a bit more personal than say the trucks brand logo, especially privately owned trucks of which there are a lot of in Ireland. Some drivers also work for trucking companies using their private trucks resulting in some company trucks having a wide range of paint schemes. Also a lot of Irish trucks usyally have stainless steel straightpipe or sidepipe exhausts. Exhausts to us are bullbars to continental europeans :D
YAY! great to see you finally do my country!!
Now this is my kind of content! Thanks for the awesome work Yukon. I'm glad you also have a love of trucking lol.
I was looking forward for this one!
Hey Yukon, you should definitely cover Cuba next.
whoooo new vid!!! great job!!!
Loving the higher quality videos
Hey Yukon, I'm Irish and I wanna thank you so much for doing this!
As an Irish people I genuinely believed that we will probably never going to get this video. Thanks for your work
Great pronunciation and spot on facts great video 👌
Keep up the good work guys
I checked your channel at the start of the day to see if you covered Ireland. Turns out a was just a little early :p
Can you do Serbia next
Hi i love your videos and i am really excited to see this because I am half Irish
I hope you will do Belgium, we got a HUGE highway and road system but I don’t know if there is something interesting in my country!
Take care thanks for those videos ! Amazing quality
This was an interesting one! Can you do Croatia next?
I never expected this video, thanks!
Fun fact, my closest port, Rosslare, was about to shut down pre-Brexit due to a downturn in ferry sailings and general activity. But thanks to brexit and the ports location on the southeast coast its absolutely booming again with many new shipping and ferry routes due to how close it is to Europe compared to other Irish ports.
Nice video, I hope you can do Denmark at some point that would be cool
Awesome video, can you do one about Germany (rich and one of the largest countries in EU) or Czechia (crossroad between western and eastern EU)
ooh, I've been waiting for this one
Amazing work bro!!!!
Next maybe trucking in china or france please 😊
Your videos never fail to entertain me. Could you do Costa Rica Trucking its pretty cool from what i heard. Thanks
We've developed a unique style of decorating our trucks. And I'd appreciate the lack of the term "British Isles", ruffles feathers, especially mine.
You should cover a video on the Mexican Trucking Industry next.
Oh brilliant, I hope a mention is given to the importance of Hino here, we were the first nation to start importing them to europe and have an entire assembly plant here thats been a big part of the trucking world here for decades (weirdly enough) and also a funfact there's only 3 'road train' trucks in the country at the moment and I've only seen one of them, permits are hard to get and totally an unnecessary truck here, but still manages to exist anyway. Most common truck you'll see here are flatbeds carrying 40ft containers and curtainside trucks
Your South Africa video 📹 was very good
Thanks from Ireland
This is like GeographyNow, but exclusive for trucks. Keep on!
you should do a video about Greek trucking they have interesting trucks
would be very cool to see a video about some balkan countries such as Romania or Bulgaria , i love you're videos !
Do Serbia next! Would like to see that!
Please do Greece next!
Thanks!
hi i love you'r vido's
I still don't fully know why i subscribed to a trucking yt channel... but it's definitely been one of my better decisions
Hey, can you do trucking in Bulgaria. Love your content ❤
Hey big fan it would be amazing if u could do Poland next
i suggest you do next episode on Ukrainian trucking since it is incredibly diverse from east to west of the country and pretty interesting overall
Would love to see Bulgaria covered.
My father used to drive hinos back in the day
Can you do Switzerland? Not very special, but you did Liechtenstein, so...
I think we don't have many owner-operators, most drivers are employed (that's just a guess, the way it looks on the roads). Our country may be interesting because of the Nord-Süd-Achse (north-south-axis) down into Italy.
Do Venice next!
You forgot to mention that there are trucks made locally in Ireland by Japanese Hino since 1968
hi,can you please do a video on romania/bslkans trucking scene
Yukon! Can you do Norway at some point? (Preferably before you cover Sweden)
Yes! This is whar it's all about
As someone who lives in Ireland I know a few people who are getting out of driving trucks because off all the crap they have to put up with and poor pay. Some drivers are on the same amount as a lad stacking shelves in a shop.
Irish truck driver here, we’re great.
One of my fav countries
I would like to see a video about trucking in Europe's microstates.
Maybe next video about truck driving in Poland, I'd like to see this
would love to see trucking world of turkey
If there's one thing I learned about Irish trucking is that : King Truck Styling makes the best looking trucks. 😄
Good video just one thing the 80kph limit is for cars or vans with a trailer. Artics with a trailer can still do 90kph
Switzerland next!
Finally, youtube knows what I wanna watch
There had been alot of truck accidents in the last couple of months. Maybe you can make a video about trucks in Turkey and maybe you can find the reason behind it.
Fun fact Ireland also assembled Japanese Hino trucks
At 0:49 you show a David Watson truck, I don't know if someone told you they're an Irish company but I'm afraid they're not, they're mainly based around central England and a little North.
Hi can you make a video about Singapore Trucking Thanks
