Tip for liquids that you really only need a tiny bit of (foundation, concealer, serums, etc. Would work well for that primer you had!): Put some in a contact lens case! I've been using this trick for years and it saves SO much space and I've never run out of anything, even on 7-10 day trips! :)

During my air travel last week I now have to do wheelchair assistance due to respiratory issues from being in 9/11 and I found when I got to the gate they didn't put me in economy like I booked they moved my seat up towards comfort plus I was on Delta.

Correct, I would just confirm with the airline. The airline website should be very specific about what bags are allowed in economy class.
My mom and I both just bought this bag becauseof this video. We are flying economy to Cancun in January and don't want to pay baggage fees. The goal is to only pack in the underseat bag leaving the carry on empty for souvenirs for the return trip.

Hey there! I’m flying both Spirit and United... Do you think the bag you showed in your Spirit packing video would work for United as well?
Hi, the Spirit bag is larger than the United bag... If you are traveling both airlines I would choose the United bag. United checks bag sizes at check in, they will not let you print your boarding pass until they check the bag size - she literally pulled out a tape measure. There was online/app check in but you were not given a boarding pass, you had to check in again at the airport. Have a safe flight! :)

I can believe united is using spirit method.. I used fly to my country and I remember we can bring one 50lbs suitcase.
Favor that is a nice bag my daughter would kill me if I buy another piece of luggage but that holds a lot.

Hi. United always inspects and measures our bags for the basic economy bag. I have never been able to check in fully for my flight without having my bag inspected unless I am checking a bag or have paid for a carry on bag. I cannot say if they would approve or deny your bag. In the terminal where I have flown United they have measuring tapes and I have watched them measure bags. I always make sure my bags are within the airlines guidelines to ensure I won't encounter any issues.
I’m flying basic economy on Monday and I’m confused as to what types of bag I can bring? I have a smaller black bag that I’m thinking of, similar to a gym bag, though it’s slightly bigger. What happens if the bag is just a few inches over?
What happens depends on the gate crew. If they ask you to place your bag in the sizer and it is too large they will charge you for the bag. Just a guess but you have a 50/50 chance of not getting stopped to size your bag. In our case they walked around the gate area and measured the bags. Several people had to pay for their bags because they did not comply with the sizing regulations. I've never taken a chance. Thank you for watching!
Life With Favor oh okay. Thank you for the quick response. My bag is just slightly bigger I think, but I’m not entirely sure. I’ll have to measure. Yeah I didn’t want to take any chances, I’ll be gone for almost a week though and booked basic economy before knowing what it entailed.

How stringent are they on the size? I'm going traveling for a family reunion and need my camera pag as my personal buy it measures 11.2 inches wide 19.3 inches tall and 8.3 inches deep
In order to check in for the flight we had to show a representative our bag for inspection. She did not insert our bag into a sizer but did pick it up and examine it. We just flew United to Nassau and had the same experience. I can't completely answer you as I personally would not take any chances but your measurements might be hard to notice with ones eyes. If they have you put your bag in the sizer, you may be forced to check it.

A Carry on has no weight limit only size ( measurement) limits, only checked bags have a weight limit. A checked bag weight limit on United is 50 pounds. Carry on you bring the bag onto the plane with you and checked bag you check it in with the carrier and they send it to the belly of the plane, the cargo hold in the plane. Hope this helps

NO, it is NOT. You may be confusing the Economy bag size. This bag is for BASIC Economy, you are allowed 17x9x10.
That is a lot of stuff you squeezing in that liquid bag. I'm sure Rob doesn't bring that much, so you might slip a few of your items in his liquids bag.

They have them on Amazon. I just bought the 16" one from Walmart but they had them on Amazon too
