    Welcome back to The Wavgretzky Show! This week, I'm showing you guys how to make a Tech Pack! A tech pack is an informative sheet that designers create to communicate with a manufacturer all the necessary components needed to construct a product. Typically designers will include measurements, materials, colors, trim, hardware, grading, labels, tags, etc. They are very blueprint like, and are essential when starting a clothing brand. Streetwear brands use these all the time especially when they have multiple designs going at once. The more detailed the better!

Thanks for the useful content, I'm starting a clothing brand (not printed T's) well I mean we will have those as well but I'm getting into the nitty gritty, designing custom jackets, etc etc. Though in the end I decided to just hire someone to do the techpacks for me rather than learn. Trying to take this all to market early 2023. But this was super useful for learning, keep it up!

    What software are you using PLM or AI?

  • @tythedoc4917
    @tythedoc4917 Před 3 lety +2

    So I guess what has got me confused is the style code and name, so what I'm confused about is if I was showing this to a manufacturer what do I use as the style name/number, that doesn't use precut and sew shirts? Would I have to come up with all the measurements or is there a easier way to do this? ( Sorry if this is super confusing, and make zero sense but I know very little about tech packs and the whole situation when sending it to manufacturers ).

    • @wavgretzky
      @wavgretzky  Před 3 lety +1

      Ty what’s good! So the basis of your question does make sense, I’m a little confused about what you mean when you say “doesn’t use precut and sew shirts” meaning it’s not a name brand like guildan orrrrr meaning you’re providing these “custom” shirts to your manufacturer to print on. If the second one is the case, you can just show measurements on your tech pack. Would be happy to reply again if this doesn’t answer your question!
