  • Anthony Muigai has been a farmer in Kenya for the last five years.
Using biogas, he powers his home, car and boiler in order to shower and refill his fish pond.
He showed us how and why he doesn't just use his chickens for eggs.

Kenya produces more than enough electricity but the tariffs are quite on the higher side that's why people like him must find alternative means to power their lives.

Tariff would be a tax on an incoming import material, no? How does that play into an already domestic fuel? Sounds like you made shit up to justify why he is independently powering his life.

He's smart because he has researched it and put the existing knowledge into practice. You can produce biogas from any manure and even food waste quite easily and then the gas can be used for cooking or to run gas powered showers or gas powered generators as he shows. He hasn't invented anything here but I admire him for putting into practice what he has learnt.

For everyone harping about co2 emissions remember methane is a worse greenhouse gas than co2. Burning methane is a fairly clean gas and converts to co2 when burned which plants and trees consume anyways. Ranches all over the world need to harness this untapped renewable resource at their feet. It's technically free energy and enough of it is around in one's own ranch they can make a serious profit!

Be vegan. Use human poop. Free the chickens. Treat the chickens like pets, dont steal their eggs, dont murder them. Watch earthlings. Watch cowspiracy. 3.25acres for standard American diet, about 1/2 for plant based diet, about 2 acres of habbitable land per person on earth, about a Billion people underfed or starving, reportedly. Eat plant based, be vegan, if u wana be sustainable

Excellent job Anthony, we love it. We are building smal biogas plants for Africa and love this kind of promotion. It shows the ease and versatility of biogas. Can you tell me the brand of the e-vehicle charger, that loocked nice. IF you need some advice how to boost your plant, let me know, we are happy to support you.
