My favorite duet of all time and thats saying something. And the dulcet tones of George Michael oh my! And the respect with which he introduce Elton John. You're right, George was a big fan of Elton since childhood.
This performance still gives me chills. Amazing
We lost an amazing talent when we lost George Michael. I've been a fan since he first started with Wham.
It is amazing.George had done a cover of the song,which is Eltons song,and was performing it live and Elton's appearance was unexpected. A very cool moment in music history.
Haven't met any of my idols yet. Freddie would definitely be one, and that's kind of impossible. I have idols in different categories. Musical, painters, political figures, etc.....George Michael was another one of those guys that was gone too soon. I loved his voice, so golden, silky smooth, sexy. Very sad story.
I've been a fan of George's for ever. I've heard many of his interviews throughout his career. It was always his dream to sing with Aretha, which he did. It fulfilled one of his childhood dreams. He was a massive fan of Queen and Elton
His idols were always Stevie Wonder and Aretha. He performed with Stevie at the Apollo and was voted the best Blue Eyed soul singer that graced that stage. Check out some of those Duets including two most recent with Mary J Blige and Whitney Houston before she passed. He had amazing Duets through his lifetime. I most especially love the duet he did with Ray Charles. Brings tears to my eyes.
Wish I'd seen him in concert, such a great (live) singer and songwriter.
I am so sorry you never had the opportunity. I will never forget his life performances. Such charisma such sex appeal such a connection he had with his audience. Most of all, that voice that luscious beautiful velvety voice! He was definitely a sight to behold.

This is the first time Elton John performed after he came out of rehab. If you get a chance to watch the movie Rocketman it's a great biography about Elton John
