jackson lloyd-the sage, the storyteller, the catalyst of change-has returned! 🙌🎉
Picture this: The sun rises, casting a golden hue upon the play button. The screen flickers to life, and there, bathed in the soft glow of pixels, stands our hero. 🌅
The chat section buzzes with anticipation. “Where have you been?” they ask. “Why did you leave?” But jackson lloyd merely smiles-a Mona Lisa grin that holds secrets and promises. 🤫
And then, with a flourish, the video begins. The intro music swells-a symphony of hope, resilience, and pixelated dreams. 🎶✨
My mother got me GTA Vice City, and Im pretty sure it was a last ditch effort to make me heterosexual. Didnt work. Now Im fruit flavored and violent.

RIP your mom
Should've been DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, could've salvaged you.
Lmao
Great production quality, keep it up!
Thank you bro means a lot!
What a phenomal style bro, you're sitting on a rocket, just keep fueling it!
let's be homies
Appreciate that bro, aye I’m down haha I already was a sub I love your videos
@@jacksonlloydnah that's crazy ! this video geniunely just blew me away, shoot me your discord or twitter or smth!
Yeah I’m deadass lmao I don’t really tweet like at all, but my twitter is @notjacksonlloyd
Never played many games growing up, but having the DS as a kid was a really strong tool that defined my life as a whole
Damn its not everyday you see a channel grow. I always was partial to the 2000s, the energy gaming had is unmatch and truely unique.
I’m just happy to be here after making videos for so long lol. 2000s are my era I’ll defend it forever
So this is what it feels like to discover a hidden gem of a channel. Subbed brother, good stuff right here
Thank you brother really appreciate that
Sega even today has the coolest console names. The genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast all sound sick
Banger after banger name
Tbh I prefer the name mega drive over genesis
Not even a minute in, and I already had to subscribe. Your editing and stylistic choices are top-notch
Thank you dude you’re awesome
this is an amazing video! the quality is up there with the likes of nakey jakey and Scott the woz. Whole video was fun to watch and made me feel happy that other people have had the same experience with video games as I did.
Dude that means the world to me, and yeah they definitely inspired me so I really appreciate the words! I’m glad you enjoyed the vid
@@jacksonlloyd You have a sort of genuineness to you like Jakey does, I like that man. Keep going with it. It's nice to have CZcamsrs that are just down to earth sounding guys
4th-6th gen was objectively the golden era, '89-'04. There was good stuff before and after but that period is unmatched.
I’d throw the 7th gen in there too but I agree that was an amazing time for gaming
@@jacksonlloyd 7th was pretty good, better than 1-3 but I think it was a clear step down from the rest, especially for certain genres like RPG. FPS did peak there though tbh.
here comes boomer who thinks he's the center of the universe
@@arthurgamerpro6585 lol here comes the kid who thinks the repetitive woke current generation is the best
@@Vulpas lie, 7th and 8th generation are the best and I feel more playing video games than the crappy 6th generation (and the current one)
Really enjoyed this video man, great quality, good writing and a good dose of nostalgia. Earned my sub!
Thank you man really appreciate that!
I really appreciate your mention of Disney extreme skate adventure. Severely underrated
i miss the early 2000s era of gaming, the devs actually have passion on their project.
Your video is very fantastic at describing them
Thank you!
Think about how lucky we are to be kids and gamers at one certain point in history that we were. 90s and early 2000s will forever be in my heart
6th Generation was the best era, a lot of good games, and very interesting stuff with the big 4
Valid take
Completely agree
Gamecube era?
ok boomer
great vid, keep it up bro this is underrated for sure
Thank you you’re cool af
Thank u for bringing me down nostalgia lane man loved every second with this production quality ❤ love u dad
That halo reach pre order commercial sent me to the feels
Never in my life would i expect someone to mention champions in a video about game eras. That game is goated
The most distinct ps2 game in my childhood memory for some reason lol
First video I’ve seen from your channel and you COOKED HARD. Can’t wait to see more :)
Thank you bro!
ds and 3ds are my golden eras. mkds, cooking mama 2, and acnl my beloved
6th and 7th generation were the golden era of gaming, after that it never hit the same.
thought you were a 100k+ subscriber channel because of the quality, nice video!
Thank you bro!
Awsome video man gave me a sense of nostalgia. My favorite era was definitely modern because I had most of my experience during it (I was born in 2005) but I grew up with my Wii and Xbox 360 and I’ll never forget the fun I had.
I’m so glad you mentioned Star Fox Adventures! Such an underrated game!
My favorite bro
This was a great retrospective on the console gaming eras, first vid from you I’ve ever watched and your humor, editing and amusing summaries especially of the gaming eras you didn’t exist through earned yourself an automatic subscribe 😃
I’m both proud and creaky to say I’ve lived through all generations of video game existence except the first one, being born in 1977 meant my earliest years of gaming were full of Atari games and their hypnotic strobe and color effects, along with a million other strange and marvelous consoles at the time, as well as tons of PC games and arcade games which were left out of the eras in this video.
I’d have to say the original 8bit NES and SNES/Genesis were my favorite eras of gaming, although N64 is up there as well for the giant 3D leap forward it provided from the previous generation… I’ll never forget the feeling of Mario 64 and gleefully running around discovering every move you can do with Mario for an hour before even thinking of heading into the castle to begin the game because the 3D movement was so radically different and done to perfection.
The console wars between sega and genesis was something to live through, you HAD to pick a side and passionately argue about your console’s superiority at the back of English class with this one kid for an entire year… hypothetically of course! Looking back, I’m ashamed how susceptible we all were to the (admittedly awesome) advertising of the age, but mortal kombat II on SNES was the first console game that was truly as powerful as the arcade game- even if later on I found out it really wasn’t but it sure FELT like that at the time.
Im a switch dude nowadays, play a ton of Zelda and Mario kart with my son and wife, but I don’t think games can ever impact me quite as much as the ones I played 85-95 again. I mean when super Mario bros, Castlevania and mike Tyron’s punch out were released I could literally think about nothing else all day at school than being able to run to my neighbor’s house to get lost in these worlds over and over.
Really looking forward to more from you dude 🤘
Thank you man! Loved reading your story, I think that’s awesome that you got to live through some of the stuff I talked about in the video
2:27 for the record they did this because it as cheaper to just bury them then to go through the proper channels to dispose of all of those unsold games
Yeah that’s actually wild haha
You’re a generation ahead of where I started but man it reminds me how those eras still were revelation. OR maybe I’m so old I don’t get that young gamer nostalgia. My kid shifts between a tablet and Roblox and Gamepass, we aren’t quite at the “I GOT PS5 AND GOW AND I CANT PLAY ANYTHING LIKE THIS”….I also have all the consoles as I’m a gamer where I had to pick a side back in the day cuz my folks thought it was all the same. My era was I’m Sega all the way for years until I beg for the next gen that was probably years after it’s release. I’m hoping the next gen my kid is hyped enough to where we can camp out in line on launch just excited to see what the next big thing is.
Worth every minute it took to make this Video. Absolute banger going through all these different console generations and staying relatively objective while recounting your own stories. I've watched some videos where they try to focus on the documentary style but their own opinions still slide through and here we have someone giving his own opinions while still highlighting other great consoles!
The Dreamcast has always felt like the greatest console I've never had. All these amazing games that I later ended up playing on other platforms. So I'm very happy to see it get a little highlight inbetween.
Genuinely thank you bro, I really tried to just respect all consoles (except the Atari jaguar). I think too often there’s so much animosity amongst consoles, when really we should just appreciate them all. They all offer something unique, like the Dreamcast for example. Really appreciate everything you said
love the editing, the whole video gives me that comfy 2000s feeling
That’s what I was going for, glad you enjoyed it
As a fellow small channel with a "green screen rant" style format...this is great man. Incredible editing! Looking forward to your success my man. :)
Thank you my guy appreciate that!
Great video and coverage of video game history! I was very lucky to grow up when I did having great memories with the consoles and games I had access to. The late 90s and the 2000s were my era and I'm truly blessed.
Thank you bro that was a great era for sure
Xbox the first one is a gem I never experienced, the theme/logs and over all vibe is out of this world, really wish they would go back to that theme, instead of this mid era. W video btw keep it up man. More bangers like this you have great potential
Miss the aesthetic of the first Xbox, it’s so much more bland now
Great video don’t give up keep pushing you will get up there straight to the top bro
When I saw the subscriber count, I was too stunned to speak. The way you make videos is incredible production value off the charts, the narrative you held my entire attention no skips which thanks to tiktok and short form content is brilliant. Nice one man.
Wow thank you bro I really appreciate that!
the 2000’s is the best decade of gaming.
The wii era is just awesome complemented with a dsi and kid me would have tons of fun
In awe of your editing aesthetic
Thank you bro, really means a lot
Great video editing and a fun watch Jackson!! The Gamecube nostalgia tho. I've been having fun creating Nintendo content on my channel and i'm glad I found yours. You have a new subscriber :)
Thank you bro!
Killer aesthetic and video to boot! Instant sub!
My very first gaming experience was the Atari 2600 on a black and white TV, and then Super Mario Bros on the NES. Growing up in the 90s was so cool lol! I guess I'm an old guy to you lol!
That’s awesome though you got experience some really cool eras first hand!
@@jacksonlloyd It was definitely awesome! Seeing the 16 bit SNES Super Mario World for the first time, and then seeing Mario moving in full 360 degrees for the first time in Super Mario 64 was SO mind blowing man! And forget about living through the times of Street Fighter 2, Mortal Monday, and the debut of original Playstion! I'll never forget that feeling!
The Wii homebrew channel bit was brilliant lol
Always love it when CZcams recommends smaller guys like us, good work man, got a sub right here!
I too love it, thank you bro!
I could tell this was a classic in the first few seconds. Great presentation, subbed and looking forward to the next one!
Thank you man you’re awesome
You deserve more subs the vibes of the editing take me back
Appreciate that bro, I tried to give it a 2000s feel for sure
Star Fox Adventures is 🔥, the GameCube was definitely the console that impacted me the most, it had so many phenomenal titles. 🙌🏼
Dude im with you
All i needed to watch was this vid…
Brother you are my favorite youtuber now
-Keep it up!!
Damn thank you dude that means a lot
editing is cold af, nice video
fantastic video, very relatable as someone who grew up in a similar era and went along a similar trajectory of interests. one silver lining of modern gaming to me, is that those of us who grew up in that golden era are now developing and releasing video games which gives me hope for the future especially in the PC/indie spheres.
Thank you bro I’m happy that we can relate. I’m really hopeful too
Missed out on some of the handheld stuff, but otherwise great stuff. Been finding myself traveling back in time with some emulation streaming to crt. Nice to get some people together again for some fun and simple in person gaming.
Yeah definitely want to do a separate vid all about handhelds cause I grew up playing the hell out of them lol, but thank you dude
I personally think its gen 6 for me cause of Half-Life and also Metroid Prime and GTA Vice City.
The Sega Genesis had a modem adapter to play a few games online with a built in mic ( and Sega channel, basically Xbox game pass ) Xband for the SNES as well and nes era and up had kiosks too.
with this being ur first vid in almost a year & also being your most popular , you HAVE to keep up the momentum. SUBSCRIBED
Working on the next video right now, it’s gonna take some time naturally because of how my videos are. But I’m definitely pushing myself to keep this momentum
The production of this video was amazing and there was never a dull moment, can't wait to see more of your content! :3
You’re so nice thank you
amazing quality! glad there are still such creative creators out there.
Thank you, I try my best
That video style immediately clicked with me. Keep it up man. 👏
Super happy you enjoyed
The editing and style is AWESOME looking bro! Keep it up! 🔥
Thank you dude you’re awesome
I would love to see the AAA scene return to the level of quality games it was back in the 2000s, just gotta have more focus on making the game fun, less focus on encouraging players to be whales, making sure the game's not a buggy mess at launch. Luckily we still have indie games being just that to this day.
I fully agree, I really need to play more indie games!
I love your personality and editing. You earned yourself a new subscriber!
That means a lot bro thank you so much!
youtube algorithm got me on this, u got an amazing editing style, keep it uppp 🫶
thank you
Therapist: American Maxmoefoe isn't real, he can't hurt you
American Maxmoefoe:
I remember that clip at 1:03 , just a golden era for online nonsense
Really was
pls upload more this was good 🙏🏾
AWESOME VIDEO! Although I’m growing up with this generation with gaming, I really want to play on a GameCube or SEGA Dreamcast someday.
Thank you! You should they’re amazing
maaaan why'd you have to put on endless possibilities at the end? I was having a blast making me lunch listening to this video and now im crying🎉😂😢
Lmaoo I feel that. Such a good song though so I had to
Instant sub! Your presentation is phenomenal
Thank you glad you enjoyed!
That Pong era bit made me spit out my drink. 😂
lol glad you enjoyed the bit
The early 2000s was definitely my favorite era of gaming as well.
The editing in this is top tier. Keep up the good work dude!
Thank you dude!
dude honestly thought you had 1mi subs when I started the video you got sooo much potential, love the editing and your charisma, sending this to all my friends, keep it up!
Thank you so much you’re awesome
NBA + gaming analysis commentary is all I need at 22 year olds. Great video, liked the editing - felt like it was from a much bigger channel.
For me, my first console was a GameCube but when I was very young and it was a hand-me-down. Besides a GBA a friend had loaned me a few times, my first device that I had to myself was a Nintendo DS Lite. My dad worked at Microsoft at the time whose building is right next to Nintendo of America headquarters; consequently he had a few friends who worked there who really formed my love for gaming (which is weird because I haven't thought about them in years)
Thank you bro
That’s crazy that your dad actually worked at Microsoft, kids use to threaten with that back in the Xbox 360 days lmao
man, i just love this video style!
Man you’re awesome!
as a video game enjoyer I had to drop a sub, keep up the good work dude!
Thank you dude you’re awesome
I've remember when i wasn't allowed to play The Sims 2 because my mother wont let me (because of the someone mention the bathroom/shower part, and my mother said that is "too inappropriate for a young childs mind". So they bought me MK5 & DOA:P instead.
Parents really be dumb as hell sometimes lol
I grew up with the 360 but after going back into retro gaming and emulation, I think the 6th generation takes the cake for the best generation. There's an insane amount of good games shared across the Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS2, and Xbox, that I tend to forget those consoles all came out in the same time span.
also The Simpsons: Hit and Run is awesome, I never cared about the Simpsons as a kid but it's probably the best licensed game I've ever played. Replaying it at the moment
Such a good generation it’s insane, and Simpsons H&R is a fckin classic!
this channel should be at 100k subs, great video :)
Damn dude thank you, praying for it one day
Ah, the Days of Pong & Tetris...
I can’t wait to watch this when I get home
MALUCO, que estilo incrível, falta esse tipo de personalidade na edição aqui no Brasil
Duuude! I feel like we share a lot! It was hard being a Nintendo fan during the DVD player, erm, excuse me, PS2 era. I hated it as well back then but I did like the XBOX because my older cousin who I looked up to had one. The N64 was also my 1st console that I personally owned but my parents did have both an NES and SNES (as well as the OG GameBoy.
That amazing bro glad you could relate haha
Relaly enjoyed this bro!
12:32 this part in particular is so funny because the homebrew channel ain't official lmao
Dude you’re gonna have a million subs one day. You have so much potential. Great video man, keep it up.
Dude you’re awesome, that’d be amazing to reach 1 mill!
love the style you're coming with, inspiring
Thank you
Woah dude the quality and effort you put into making this video is crazy, I loved it! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store with your future videos
Dude you don’t know how much it means to hear this. Really appreciate you
Anytime bro
this editing style is BRILLIANT dude, i adore it
Thank you!
I lol’d at the Atari screen change
8:27 I HEARD THAT SPLIT SECOND OF ORIGAMI ANGEL YOU AIN'T SLICK.
No but actually I fucking LOVE the aesthetic of this video goddamn. The whole thing is so well edited and funny man keep it up

Thank you bro you’re cool af. I will!
@@jacksonlloyd np bro anytime
Incredibly well made video, you made a fellow Jackson (Lloyd also just so happens to be my middle name lol) proud. Keep this production quality up and you’ll make it big someday!
Wait that’s actually crazy because Lloyd is my middle name too not my last name lol. But thank you bro
@@jacksonlloydWow, that’s a wild coincidence man 😭 I’m happy to see the view count almost 7x itself within hours, very deserved!
I'm with you. I enjoyed the heck out of Star Fox Adventures
So much effort put into this vid bro respect. U deserve more views on this one.
Yeah definitely took some time to make lol but you’re awesome thank you
Really really great stuff! Can’t wait to see what you make next!
Really appreciate that
I had 3 golden eras and each one on a specific decade, in the 90s was 8 and 16bit consoles (i only started discovering NES tittles in the end of 2000 but now i love it a Tectoy Master System 3 Compact with Alex Kidd in the memory was my First console and Sonic 1 on SMS ws my first true love with gaming) i had a Master System a Sega Mega Drive and later in the 90 got a super Nintendo and feel in love with Donkey Kong Country 1 and Super Mario World, i never had a PS1/Saturn or a N64 but i played both in cousins houses(Megaman X5 and Crash Bandicoot 2 on PS1, Megaman 8 on Saturn and Super Mario 64 was probably the first 3D game i ever saw) later in 2005 my step brother bougth a PS2 and that was my Second era(at First we played games like Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks without a Memory Card and i even maneged to beat the campaing without it) them i feel in love with Hack'n Slashers like DMC3 God Of War II and Prince Of Persia 2 and 3, i got particularly found of the God Of War games where i maneged to get really far in their Very Hard dificulty modes before getting stuck for almost 15 years(God Of War 1 i got stuck on Are on the clone Fight, on 2 it was on the protect the translator mission) my third era was when i finaly started working for myself and bougth the PS3 from that same brother that got the PS2, since most of my spendings where gaming related i had the biggest collection of ps3 games on his console that he used only for PES and Call of Duty, he needed money and wanted to sell the console elsewhere and i just offered hin the money on sight, money on his hand the console was mine he could still play football and online matches with his friends and i could still play a LOT of many diferent styles of games
In the 90s where mostly Platformers, Beat'n ups and Space Shooters like gradius the 2000 where literaly just Hack'n Slashers, the 2010's i played a lot of shit, TPS's FPS's 3D Platformers, Zelda likes (i had bougth a wii and a DS a Year prior to buying his PS3) hack'n Slashers thanks to Platinum games i got a Wii U in 2014 and it still my favorite Nintendo System (i have the Switch now but i'm sour on the thing) amzing times had on thosse systens
So i could say, my Golden era was from the 3°Gen up to the beggining of the 8° i still like my PS4 but now i know the industry problens and i'm more cinical but i still love gaming with all my hearth (mostly the indie Scene nowadays)
Thank you for sharing bro I love it
i love this video, man. thanks for taking me on a trip down memory lane.
Of course! Thank you so much
Great vid and editing man, you deserve way more subs and I'm sure you'll definitely get them eventually keep it up!
You’re awesome, comments like this mean everything
Miss the golden era….
Got whiplash seeing you only had 809 subs, say hello to 810!
Now I’m at 916 holy shit lol. Thank you so much!
