😂😂😂
Ah...to bad...
😂
😂 LOL. RIGHT ON.
Was worried that this one was going to be too cheesy, but based on this demo it seems like it's just the right amount of cheese. Really impressed with how well it seems to handle tapping and slides
To me, cheesiness is depicted by lack of the sounds being realistic. No one wants one of these if it has a sound library that sounds 10-20 years old.
Seems like cheddar cheese , just right 😂😂
I'm relieved; only the video is cheesy.
@@Fromagreatheight😂 the best synths are old these are tryin to recreate those the best reverbs are old too spring to lexicon
@@Mujcanal yeah agree Cheddar cheese 💯true bRo 🤣but 4 a lots of bucks 🤣🤣
Those flute sounds are amazing ! Along with all of them. Well I know what I'll be saving up for next !✌🎸
It has been a long wait since the GR-55! Thank you Boss!
I have a Gr 55 that I use with my band! I love it, but there are Latency issues with Piano etc.
This unit intrigues me but I hope they fixed those issues.
Does anyone know if the 800 tracks better?
Thanks!
I'm blown away. 3:42 almost in tears. Holdsworth and just wow
Incredible demo, Alex always writes stunningly idiomatically for the gear he's using
Oh great "Jazz" boring Alex only paying gig is paying roland. He is a going no where musician. Sure he can play the guitar but lets see him write a top 40 hell top 100 song?
@@mrguitar5051 cheers mr guitar 5051 I respect your weighty and professionally valued opinion
@@adgtr383 I have a roland Fantom-08 and it uses scenes. I can do everything this unit can do and more with my GR55 midi out to the fantom-08. Alex is wasting his talent not writing songs!
@@mrguitar5051 I don't care mate!!!
@@adgtr383 Mate? Oh great another angry hate the gov and world Australian male. And you call yourself a musician LMAO Oh wait are you Alex!?
You can legit make video game soundtracks with this!!
The most underrated virtuoso there is!
Boss decided to redefine what a cool gear demo is with its latest product demos. Loving them.
Knew it was only a matter of Time. How cool is that ! ThX again Alex !
Yeah, that's the stuff. Usable sounds for nearly any kind of music plus the great playing Alex has always seemed to be able to do.
Alex, thank you for this marvellous presentation. Enjoyable as any other you do...
nice to see a demo video with great sounds, great playing, and alex is very restrained, which is wise for a product demo. reastrained, but still fiery!
Oh man, what a great sounding pedal!!! Alex always the best for this stuff - sounds awesome man!!!
You are in my top 5 guitarists to listen to. Not because Your Skills which are Par- Excellent ! But because of the HEART behind the Skill ! In other Words You sKilled it Brother !!✌🎸👏🙏☝🙌
Amazing pedal with fantastic demo. 👍🎶
Demais Boss! Alucinado com os timbres!
Im so impressed with the tracking in this demo.,
Alex has nailed the sound examples, and we're confident this is our most advanced guitar synthesizer unit yet. Glad you like what you hear!
@@BOSSinfoglobal yea his playing was outstanding! You guys have been killing it with your new releases!
absolutely LOVE Alex! This pedal sounds incredible it just needs something to fill that empty soundspace between the guitar and the synth pedal.
Fantastic compositions !
I think this is it ! They released their ultimate synth weapon.
Love this new pedal !
When will we have just ONE synth sound in the GT1000 ??
Seriously Boss... Don't let us down, we, Flagship users !!!!!
Line 6 has done it since YEARS....
This! And what about a second reverb block instead of the 4 simple delay blocks? I honestly really like the GT-1000 but it could really use some updates.
The GT1000 core is a unintuitive beast, nothing comes close to it for low latency though.
@@kalidesu😂😂
Excellent Player Alex demonstrating excellent new BOSS hardware! Great to hear and to watch.
No puede ser lo necesitooo! Tanto tiempo busque un sintetizador de guitarra jaja genial!
This is mind blowing
Well, at least I learned that Alex Hutchings is a great player.
Nice to see they ditched the tragedy that is the 13pin Cable from the GK-3. I had 2 fail that Boss wouldn't replace as they were out of warranty - $100 bucks is a lot of money to charge for a low quality cable. Also - I can only speak from the GK-3 and GR55 but I found to get accurate tracking I had to play perfectly clean which was beyond my skill level and interest. Not easy to do these days but I would recommend "Try before you buy" on this especially for the price.
Fantastic!
Damn! That's nice!
Alex Killed it. Great.
Very inspirational!
That thing is amazing!!!!!!
Loved it
As always, well played Alex!!! This thing sounds incredible, as a GR55 fan boy! :)
I love the GR55; but this thing? Whoa! As a bassist, my brain is burning with ideas!😳🎸🎶👍🏾
@@etpslick100 Do you even know what a roland "Scene" is? Name me one thing you can do on this that you cant on the GR55? I bet you'll just be crickets!
@@mrguitar5051 I’m sure you can do a lot on the GM-800 just like the GR55. I like the demo and I’m getting ideas that’s all. I’m keeping my GR55; love that thing but I like what I’m seeing with GM-800. So much for “crickets” huh?😡
@@etpslick100 I called you out so you speak, you obviously dont really use your GR55 do you? You can play the guitar at the same time as the synth and with Boss guitar effect! You cant on the 800! Let me guess you never played your GR55 midi to a great keyboard either have you? I currently own a Roland Fantom-08
@@mrguitar5051 I’m a bassist so I DON’T NEED TO PLAY THROUGH A KEYBOARD! The GR-55 has more than enough patches for me to play through. I use it for Moog type and upright bass sounds. Let the guitar players do their thing and I do mine. The guitarist I play with from time to time uses his and run it thru an integra 7 and a motif XS rack and get some crazy whacky sounds out of it! Cool! That’s works for him but as a bassist NOT FOR ME! If you like it through the Fantom-08; Great! You run your gear; I run mine! And I’m happy with it! PEACE!😡👍🏾
Otro nivel ..como siempre BOSS
This guy “I wanna sound like 80’s and 90’s infomercials” Boss: *I gotchu bro*
Sounds great
Unfortunately, you can no longer pass the guitar signal through the GK cable like you used to through the 13-pin cable. Now you have 2 cables on the guitar. This is a step backwards.
And more if you want to be able to mix and select whether you want the synth, guitar or mixed sound. A real disappointment as far as I am concerned!
I have a 7 with piezo saddles graphtech acoustiphonic and hexpander. I use an Axon AX100 MKII that tracks incredibly well however with the new internal kits and this 800 I can use all 7 strings with serial.
@@StringBanger I used the AxonAX100 MKII until about 10 years ago. A very good synth and not as complicated as the Boss or Roland devices. Today, however, the rack design would bother me. I want everything on the board. The Fishman Tripleplay also has its pros and cons, but I think it is even faster than the Axon.
Super interesant....de la Gr-09, unde au ajuns cei de la Roland-Boss!! Felicitări 🙏🙏🙏
Finally , great presets .
CRAAZYYY EFFECT !!! SICK !!
Superb sounds !
9:29, thanks for the Drum and Bass beat! yes!!
sei sempre il piu' grande!!!
OPENING SONG: Have you been wanting to make 1970s department store music all by yourself? Have we got a pedal for you.
And yes, I have. That was awesome.
Grandiosos sonidos! Muy bien aprovechado este sintetizador por este man, es un crack!
He is playing really melodic
Espetacular!!!
Nice full... i like it 👍👍👍👍
Very good alex ! To be honest i was expecting it to be a upgrade of GR-55 with many replicas of instruments like sax, trumpet, tbones, drums..but looks more like a mini SY1000. Since i already have the 1000 having complexity to explode my brain, will focus on the GR. However, this is a great chance to people who wants to integrate small size with many synth features
Nice one boss...and i need big pedalboard setup back 😮💨😮💨
Boss is killing it with these new products. Definitely pushing the instrument forward.
Yes they are! What else is up their sleeves?🤨🎶🎸👍🏾
How is this any different from other midi guitar options?
Watching Alex after a long long time, the last time i saw him with the VG99
6:17 is straight up Alan Murphy. Lovely.
Finally it's out
a master bravo😀
The camera work is making me ill, but it sounds great !
This pedal is amazing but he's playing so precise because the GK pickup can catch so many ghost notes that its crazy.
Sounds like Al Di meola, old stuff ..great job
Really was hoping for a sax solo of some kind.
THIS SOUNDS SOFA KING A~M~A~Z~I~N~G!!!!!! 🔥🎸🤘🤩🤘🎸🔥
I didn't know i wanted one, but i do
❤🔥🔥👏👏👏top D+
It's certainly come a long way, I still have the GR1expanded bought it new in the early 90s, but its getting a bit slow on some tracking. The GM 800 sounds really impressive.
Zuangarrrrrrr cokkkkkkkk . . . !!!!!!! 👍😍😍😍
would love to see more Bass playing with this unit. One big concern is latency on the low end of E&A strings. Has latency been reduced in the new unit when playing bass?
Those mounted pickups are such eyesores
This one is brand new, look like a smoorh black bar. No knobs or switches of any kind.
Alex is the best
Es geniaaaaal
Finally!!!!
Wow!!!
Wish we wouldn’t need this special pickup. But it sounds amazing
Now this is a gadget I always dreamed of. Nice.
Can the GK5 be installed inside the guitar or worn on the strap?
Boss does it again.. why do you make such great stuff. But without XLR outputs?
It's GR20 again. Nothing really new. It probably does not work so well in real life.
@@ReneVignoli yes I agree with you. Most of them do not work well in a live band setting.. and with all the millions of pedals out there really how different can the sound be that you're really going to notice
Gosh, love the soft lead a lot better from the VG-8&88.
gnarly shit awsome demo.
I need one
Wow
@BOSSchanel . Are the independent string outputs 'pan-able' like with the guitar modeling sounds in the SY1000.? Or are the new tones in this machine independently 'pan-able' from each other? Very interested in an example video if this is the case and how it's accomplished via the computer editing program.
The parts are panable which is easily done in the editor.
Any trumpet or sax sounds that rock on there?
If this box solves the issue of GR55’s ghost notes maybe I will consider buying one😊
I guess it does as the low frequency cut parameter takes care of those - provided your overall playing technique isn’t sloppy.
Can you plug it directly on a guitar amp and have a nice sound, or only in a computer ?
You can do that, but an acoustic amp or monitor will sound a lot better.
Does GM800 include Indian tones? Santur, Sitar, veena??
Wonder what the compact box version will leave out.
Prefer GR1 type patch change for live playing. Hope some midi foot pedals like FC 300 or BCF 200 will be suitable. Regards.
Fishman Triple Play still has my vote. Wireless and you can import endless 3rd party sounds.
Excellent demo , are the drums from the gm?
bonne question ?
Brasileiros irão amar 🇧🇷
cannot find that electro bass, where is it please? actually the whole scene at 1.48 thank you
8弦対応ディバイデッドピックアップとワイヤレスモジュールが出たら買います!
Be interested to try one. I used Roland synths for years until they stopped producing good ones. Complained to Roland for years then went to a different company. I know Boss are part of Roland, but I hope they now listen to the people that use guitar synths.
Love the new GK pickup, so hopefully this is a step in the right direction. I trust you can add expression pedals??
Big question though. Will it make you play as well as Alex?
Expression pedal added 5 minutes into the video
@@justinforder2835 Cool. I'm offically excited now!
Love how some ask questions without watching the video.
@@bikeman123 Aye, that's what I get for listening instead instead of watching. I see it now (for the brief moment Alex uses it).
Just to make sure, can i connect the GM-800 (stereo) output to the input of a loop station like the RC-500 ?
Buongiorno form Italy and my violin
What engines does it use? Midi(sampled sounds), synth(oscillators) or amp modeller?
Sy300 gets its sound from synth(oscillators) only.
But i liked the midi or sampled sounds of gr55?
So i am confused what are the sound engines that gm800 uses?
Is it just upgrade to sy300 or it has midi engine too like gr55 does?
This thing is so cool I just wish they could somehow figure out how to do this without the need for a special pickup.....I mean all the other Boss Multieffects are digital and these are also digital sounds right. Can someone please explain why they can't do this?
boss sy-300, sy-1, sy-200 and even sy-1000 can take any guitar without a special pickup and do synth stuff with them, however you need a hex pickup system if you wanna do different stuff on each string, or guitar / bass modelling etc..
Hi Alex, Great Demo! Are all of the sounds you are playing included in the GM-800 without having to purchase additional libraries? Also, does this model do guitar/amp modeling like the GP-10? Many thanks! -Lou
There is no guitar modeling in this unit and all the sounds he used are factory presets.
Ayeeee
Does it do Theremin tones? Kinda got a glimpse when the DNB track kicked in.
would you play or collaboration with jordan rudes DT i though it will be great cz you have same style and dimension musicality
