    *Excellent lathe **MyBest.Tools** I started turning pens, and this is a very smooth running lathe. I am glad that I went with a variable speed lathe. It is made of top quality materials and will probably out last me. I highly recommend.*

    10:44 i solved this anoying chip rain to my face, by building a small shield (~50*80mm) made out of transparent Polypropylene plastic sheet.
    You can you any transparent foil or sheet you have (Polycarbonate from CD, or PETG from Bottles, or Acrylic Glass).
    To hol the shield i used a 2mm copperwire and a bit of hotglue. Later i replaced the wire with a segmented flexible steel "pipe".

    Doesn't have to be slick and pretty as long as it does its job correctly. I bought a similar set from BG in 16mm. Good video.

    Ottima recensione per gli inserti, sicuramente anche il prezzo è molto vantaggioso, sarebbe bello sapere anche gli RPM di lavoro in base ai vari materiali. 👍👍😊

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 5 lety

      yes they'r really good for the price (with coupon about 7-8€ for pack of 10) about rpm, i got potentiometer for control rpm on my lathe, so it's very easy to set them during work and see where is the optimal cutting speed.

    13:35 its not the bigest thread but the bigest thread pitch

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 5 lety

      Shit i write a whole answer but then go i don't know where... so pitch is setted by the lathe (on my lathe is max pitch 1.75mm) for M10 pitch is 1.5mm.
      I didn't cut major diameter piece but i turning to exactly 10mm this is wrong i know, so i must to cut 1,3mm deep to get nut on it.
      For M10 i must to cutt Pitch x 0.866mm deep so 1,5x0,866=1,299mm deep but the 60° tooth out of insert is 1.3mm long so that's why i think M10-M12 is maximal dimension for METRIC thread.
      But in that case the internal thread cutter is uselles for metric thread, because M12-M14 is the smallest thread it can be cutted with that holder, but for M12 we got pitch 1,75mm so we must cut (1,75x0,866)=1,5155mm deep, wich is more than the insert allow us.
      Different story is on fine thread wich are also more common to cut on a lathe but anyway. i see the thread on my job dimension about 300mm and pitch got only about a mm or less, we just start screwing it wrong once (with a hand) and we must to repair the thread.
      Heave a nice day.

    WD40-works best on aluminum.

    I wish Banggood would do something less scammy with there “view orders” page. Why when you go there, it try’s to get you to pay for something you already paid for. I almost don’t want to orders from them, they know what they are doing, they are trying to trick you to paying twice

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 4 lety

      Really? Didn't botice that, i also buy lot from banggood (not via aff program but as basic customer) and got really good experience, sometime need to wait few days to dispatch, and that's all.

    • @mitchcumstein9808
      @mitchcumstein9808 Před 4 lety

      TinC33 it’s the app, the only way to actually explain, is to see it. I still buy, some things are just to cheap not too. I recently put an order in after watching steve jordon ( you guys actually make a difference in my buying decisions) I get a tracking number, but USPS has nothing to report, I’m hoping it’s a in between country problem, since this is my first order with them post COVID, I was wondering about shipping times

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 4 lety

      @@mitchcumstein9808 i never use app for buying, i only trust stationaty pc, don't know why but always make orders and other money stuff on pc.
      If they ship already don't worrie, you will reaceived tracking number from usps in 7-10 days, when the item arrive to us land, that's how it work for europe but it's great because since they ship on that way there are no other charges because i reaceivd packet like it was ship from inside of EU so no tax to pay, i hope it work same for us.
