- This is an SUV I wish we got in Australia. It's Kia's version of the Hyundai Palisade and it's only produced in left-hand drive, which means we don't get it in Australia. But, we went to the US to have a test drive to see exactly what we're missing out on with the off-road focused X-Pro version.

#kia #telluride #review - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Damn, got me excited thinking the Telluride was here in Aus! 😭
Great SUV, rubbish engine.
It would be a great fit in Australia, but with the 2.5 turbo-petrol 4-cylinder engine from the Hyundai Sonata N-Line, much more torque than the V6 N/A engine; 213kw and 422Nm.
Toyota in Australia has dropped the V6 petrol engine from the Kluger, replaced it with a 2.4 turbo-petrol engine, excellent increase in torque for a more relaxed driving experience.
Maybe in the future Kia/Hyundai could add some hybrid technology to the 2.5 T engine. To be used in new Hyundai Sante Fe in the future and also future Sorento from Kia - diesel will be dropped in the next 10 years for SUV's in my opinion.
Can you afford 😂
Exactly why review it if it's not coming?
Paul earning his frequent flyer points!
It was filmed Feb 2, they would have filmed heaps of video footage in one trip back then.
I don’t know if it’s intentional but I realise Paul is standing on the right side of the car whereas other reviews done in Australia he is normally standing on the left side. Attention to detail very impressive.
Do I need a car this size? No. Do I wish this was available in Aus? Absolutely!
I like it, but i like the hyundai too. KIA and Hyundai have come along way.
damm for a split second i thought they were gonna bring this here toi aus
19:40 camera is falling make some wish
Fantastic review Paul. The Telluride would fit in the Aussie market perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a hit.
Point of correction on the cargo space. It's actually 21 cu ft (594 L) behind the 3rd row which is class leading.
I just bought Palisade, then today saw your video. Before starting the video my heart was sinking, as I thought finally Kia launches it here in AU
To me, Kia Telluride looks and feels much better than Hyundai Palisade. Was every existed when saw the US review pre pandemic and super disappointed when heard it's not coming to Australia 🤷♂
kia is literally the budget version of hyunder, just like how genesis is the more expensive version
@@jatt-jatt-jatt3181 in Australia, that really isn't the case at all.
2nd video of asking, Can you please do a review of the Tank 500 please you do awsome work so i really want to see a review from you
Did you guys end up picking up the go pro that fell off?
We never leave a fallen soldier behind.
amazing video, any chance testing out the new toyota tacoma, sequioa or the 4runner
Australia needs this for sure
If telluride was available in aus, i would have certainly brought it over my MY22 Palisade(which is absolutely love too).
N wish more of these offroady versions come to aus.
Bought. “ brought” means to bring something with you.
Great video. Please review Mercedes Gle facelift, bmw x5 facelift and Toyota sequoia trd pro
I would consider this ahead of every other vehicle mentioned IF the second row was a bench and it was paired with an engine with more torque. Good looking car.
Next time in USA, would be cool if you could get your hands in a Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness and the Ascent!. Two models that I'm sure would be popular in our market.
Yes 👍, an off-road section for the wilderness for sure
Can you Review the new 2025 Camry model line up?
Would be a good contender to the Ford Everest. Need to modernise that NA V6 though!
if it makes you feel better, the US wants the EVEREST we get here that they cant get :)
Can you please review tank 500
100% would be my choice here in Aus, if it was here.
Cool kia favorite suv
I thought years ago when Hyundai Australia was considering bringing in either the Palisade or Kia with the Telluride, I was hoping the Kia offering as it is a much better looking platform. Alas, we were lumped with the Palisade which is quite awkward looking. I think if the Telluride was available in Australia, then they would sell quite a few. This would probably improve greatly if offered with a hybrid powertrain as this NA petrol variant is quite thirsty and would dissuade quite a few potential buyers.
The volume in Australia is too small to justify selling this in RHD.
For perspective, less than 900 Hyundai Palisade's were sold new in 2023. A total of around 10,400 Toyota Kluger's were sold new in 2023; Kluger being sourced from the USA.
I believe the Palisade and Telluride are too big for families in Australia; most people buy the Kluger, Sorento and Sante Fe. The new 2024/2025 Sante Fe is due to launch soon in Oz, very different look. Will only be available in a 1.6 petrol-turbo hybrid.
Wow I thought the Toyota camry/Lexus was the last company still pushing V6 N/A engine.
These Tellurides are popular you should review our Sorento spec it’s very different to the Aus models same with the Carnival I’ve got a 23 Sorento SX Prestige and love the car a lot
The new Kia Sorento has arrived in Australia, different powertrain options in Australia vs USA. Australia also get 7 year warranty from Kia, 5 years in the USA.
Is the 2.5 litre 4-cylinder engine turbocharged? We hope to get that engine soon in Australia.
@@Richard-sl8weyes we have the 2.5 turbo and the non turbo 2.5 the turbo engines are mated to an 8 speed dual clutch and the non turbo is mated to a regular 8 speed turbo then we have the hybrid models
Yes please bring this to OZ
Looks good, that’s about it.
Do a review for Honda pilot
yes
Wouldn't mind a Telluride, looks like a more cohesive Pallasade
1:27 The front end kind of reminds me of a 2011 GMC Yukon not really a fan of the look of it.
Cheers Pat
Build it in RHD & Bring it KIA!
Cadillac CT-5 and Acura MDX and TLX please
Finally someone gets the cargo blind needs a home too.
Other vehicles have cargo blind storage - sadly not that many though.
Am waiting for the land cruiser 250 review
Not yet launched in Australia.
Paul why would you do us like that, thought this was an announcement it was here in Aus!
Its interesting, how we don't have this car here, but we have most of the other models in the Kia/Hyundai lineup. Like toyota, maybe that v6 may be good with a couple of turbos. Speaking of types of engines. Americans prefer the Petrol engines more than Diesels, I wonder why Diesels are still preferred here in Aust. Especially when we have that Ute tax in the near future.
Built in the USA only; in LHD only. However the Hyundai Palisade is sourced from South Korea, where they build it in RHD.
The market for the Kia Telluride in RHD is not big enough in Australia.
Looks better than the Palisade to my eyes.
The Palisade looks like a poor mans idea of an expensive SUV.
We need this in Australia like ASAP. Why do all the good cars not come to Australia?
What's wrong with a Kluger or Sorento?
Can't have em all mate
Not a korean KIA/Hyundai fan, but if there was nothing else to buy.....i might consider buying one or just get a motorcycle 🤔
Let me guess you live in a cave with no internet lol still stuck in time
Kia Telluride looks and feels much better than Hyundai Palisade!!!
I dont understand why are you showing card that we don't get here?
❤❤❤ dam kia I'm in south Africa Cape town I love these car.why they did not give us they say it going to be expansive while bmw and Merc,Bentley are 3.4 million here new in my country
Why review it if it's not coming?
Review the new Santa Fe….
Kia bring this to Australia
Looks like Boxy land Cruiser
Absolutely, I have always liked it over the palisade. More rugged looking. I think it will come once the Muricans have had their fill of it. Also I have this theory Hyundai treats KIA like a nasty older sibling. It calls dibs on all the preferred markets where sales are middling perhaps, and once it plans to bring a new Hyundai in that’s when kia is allowed to step into it shadow.
Looks similar to the Sorento
If Toyota USA can Built RHD Highlanders for Australia then there's nothing stopping KIA from doing the same.
It's volume related, I don't think the Telluride volume will be sufficient in Australia. Hence the Pallisade, built in RHD in South Korea.
@@Richard-sl8we What do you mean by that? Are you saying that Telluride won't sell as much as Kluger in Australia?
@@usmantariq7997 Yes.
@@Richard-sl8we Well we won't know that until it actually comes to Australia
@@usmantariq7997 To put things into perspective, Toyota sold 10,400 new Toyota Kluger's in 2023 while Hyundai sold 817 new Palisade's for the same 12 month period.
I believe both the Palisade and Telluride are just too big for Australia; the sweet spot for families is the Kluger, Sorento and Sante Fe; where hybrid will dominate in the next few years in my opinion.
I don't believe there is a business case for Kia Australia to bring the Telluride into Australia.
Yeah even its homeland does not get it... wish we couldve gotten here at down under
I'm glad it's not available here unless it gets the diesel engine.
Diesel - yuk
interesting but no where near as nice as the sorento
Telluride is a town in Colorado - and the Car should come to Australia. I thought when we got the Pallisade that the Telluride would follow soon after. It’s a nicer car.
Grey colour for cars is nasty. So bland and boring.
Hello from portugal ❤💚
You need to look into the Kia Mohave- that’s the vehicle they should have brought here instead of the EV9
Mate, have to say it, it's not Sportaaaage according to all Koreans where I am at the moment and asked they all say Sportige. Where do you get Sportaaaage from?
Still enjoy ya vids though 😊
rear tail lights looks like sad old asian man, kia never fails to ruin a body design
why does the US just get better cars? they seems to be all built better with better materials etc. This, the 4runner, pretty annoying...
Americans don't get Hilux & LandCruiser & Americans sometimes get Toyota's made in Mexico (Tacoma) or built locally, where we get more Japanese made .....I thought we got a better deal, but I do like the 4runner....but it's not made in Japan
Australia get very well built cars; with excellent quality. They are mostly sourced from Japan, Thailand (ute's) and South Korea.
The Telluride’s front design or elements of appears to be going to be used on their covered up ute(Tasman) like with Ford Everest and Ranger. I think this car’s front design is ugly.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇😇😎😎
Dam it I'm not first 😅
Looks old in 2024.
Yanks don't get ripped off with premium fuel prices like we do. 20c a gallon for premium over regular
20 cents a litre I presume? They do not use gallons in Australia!
Stop showing us cars we wont get .. haha whats the point?
Such an ugly car
More garbage
Which large SUV would you recommend for families in Australia?
@@Richard-sl8we Hard to say, there's not many big enough for Paul to fit in.
