These are cheap and easy ways to automatically water your houseplants. I used items I already had at home, such as string, bottles, and plastic bags. All of the DIY self watering methods definitely have their pros and cons, but find out which system you should use to keep your indoor plants and container garden alive and watered while you're gone. I show you the outcome of different auto watering systems including the string water wicking drip system, plastic bag greenhouse, water saucer bath, and upside down plastic bottle method.
