Good Job! I like how you left the second seat in place so that the passenger can sit looking forward instead of having to sit on the raised platform and lookin back. Cheers!

Thank you! One of the goals from the start has been turning the front into a fishing station for the second passenger and not a casting deck. I wanted both passengers to be comfortable standing or sitting. I'm really excited to start adding accessories up there.

@@mvboutdoors this is exactly the visual I needed. Thank you so much. Great work. I have been binging on your videos as I am working on my jon boat currently.

The conversion is coming along very nice 👍

It looks great. I'm Slightly concerned with the strength of it though. I feel like if someone where to stand right above the hatch it would buckle. Did you have any issues with that?

The 1436 wasn't really stable enough to stand up there for fishing so it was mainly used as a step on and off the boat from the dock. For that purpose it was definitely secure enough with the aluminum angle bracing.

Love the build! What thickness plywood did you use?

Thanks! I'm using 11/32 exterior ply, I wanted to keep things as light as possible.

What type of metal screws do you to fasten the board to the metal plates.

Any screws used were self-tapping stainless steel

Your doing a great job! However, mixing the catalyst I see a problem. Liquids are measured in volume (ounces). Solids are measured by weight/mass. Use a volume measurement next time, and you won't run out of catalyst. 🚤👌

Thanks for the tips, yes you are correct about that. Before using the scale I actually measured out 4oz in volume and weighed it and it came out to about 4oz in weight as well so I just went by the scale. Scaling up to large volumes it likely disconnected from the weight further.
