In this video I go over the mount I built to install a boarding ladder on a Tracker Pro Guide V-16WT. This mount reuses the stock handle holes so no additional holes are added to the transom to avoid voiding the transom warranty. This video is a step by step guide to replicate this on your own. People ask what's happening, I tell them confidently MVBoutdoors is happening! in order to use the BB epoxy resin, do you have to have a scale? Thx again!
Haha, my man. You can mix based on weight or volume, I prefer weight because its easy to mix smaller quantities. This is the one I use: amzn.to/3xGWNzg
man thanks so much for this video!
Glad to help!
You have water in the gas. It doesn’t take much to have such results.
It would seem like that but the tank was fresh gas, it ended up being a carb issue.
Didn't know how this would look when I started watching but you did an awesome job on that little boat! And thank you for going step by step and explaining what you were doing. I've built a couple little boats nothing like this but it turned out great! Hope you have many wonderful days and memories on it. Semper Fi from an old Marine
Thank you for the kind words, it was an experience for sure. I'm really happy with how it came out!
i cant believe that thing is 80$
How do do get it to reel I just bought one and keeps getting tangled
I'm not sure why it would be tangling, make sure there is some tension on the line while reeling.
Hi, I'm Brazilian. I'm doing my first project for a small boat. I loved your video, I will follow the channel. I would like to know if the carpet worked or if it smelled bad afterwards?
No bad smells at all, worked very well. I've used it many times now, I actually use it in my truck bed when hauling certain things.
Where did you get the carpet from
@@christianmarcum2562 Menards, it's called "Automarine"
Dude,. That was a very well-made video! You Rock! The only thing I could criticize is the wood surface.( But that's just a matter of taste.)Nice job!
Great video, i'm interested in getting a boat, but cant really afford a new one so I'll settle for a used one,but want to know exactly what to look for, thanks for the info.
Used is a great option for these small boats, plenty you can fix if needed.
I think if it was me, I would skip the smoked paprika until I knew what the sauce tasted like without it so I could get a handle on the flavors of the peppers.. But overall nice job.
Could you explain all the portholes and what they go to on the boat? Thanks!
Very nice, I have that exact boat. I think I might try the same.
It's worked out very well
Absolutely gorgeous! Great, great work! Probably one of the best boat build videos I've seen. Thanks so much for all the info.
You overinflated the boat initially when setting the floor. The boat has to be way more loose.
Yeah that was definitely my bad on that
Yup you inspired me im doing this now
Do it!
Is the vent on the gas tank open
It was, ended up being a carb issue
Did your foam roller last for the entire first coat or did you have to use multiple rollers? How long did it take to dry? And how long did the rollers stay usable
@@itidbits7205 I used a couple rollers, once the epoxy starts to thicken they start to fail so it's best to work with small quantities.
Very informative video with extremely good information, thank you.
The 1648, question where did you get yours from and how much you pay???
Facebook marketplace, paid around $500 for the boat then another $500 in court fees dealing with getting the title.
That was an awesome build. You did an absolutely awesome job. With all of those hand rivets, I bet you can crush a pineapple with your hand lol. Very good work. Now I'm inspired to restore my bass tracker and you gave me some great ideas. Thank you
Haha, it wasn't too bad. Having a comfortable rivet tool helps a ton. Restore it! It's a fun process seeing it transform.
How’s the paint after a year? Still good any pill off?
No peeling, the only issues I had were from physical damage such as scraping on docks and what not. Having a can of paint on hand made touch up super easy though.
Where did you get the mill and the bottles that you used?
@@FaithWalk4Life I have links in the description to both :)
@@mvboutdoors Thanks!!
I enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing!!! I can't wait to grow my peppers so that I can make my own hot sauce!!!! Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!!
They came out soo good
Is it just me or does that motor look to be set at to much of an angle backwards? Great looking boat all round
The motor setup was a little wonky getting a long shaft motor to work on a short transom, it levels out though on the water.
Your motor failed you not the boat. I didn't see you sink. To me i would rather do a little work than worry about hauling a trailer and keeping it road worthy. You haul the trailer for a lot longer than than it took to get the boat ready.
Dude you are awesome got questions for you coming up in August you the man
What battery are you going to use for your trolling motor?
I went with a 50AH lithium, worked very well.
Would a rustoleum oil base paint work for the wood as good as an epoxy?
@@kurtdraeger352 No, it wouldn't work as well. It will work but it will fail much much sooner than epoxy.
Can you put it on the bottom only,or just the inside? I'm replacing all the rivets on my boat. Thanks.
You could put it on the bottom. It does recommend to be painted over for UV protection, I personally only use on the interior.
At 2:20 in your video, I do not see that you had enough space at the top to install the helm. Please explain, but it's a great video. Thank you 🙏 Phil
I'm not sure I understand the question exactly, I had enough space to bolt everything up.
What an awesome build bro !!
Shouldn't the slope of the letters slant the other direction to mirror the backwards sweep of the bow?
That's how I did them on my last boat but this time I matched the graphics on the boat. Seeing it all together I think it looks good together but I could see slanting in the opposite direction looking good as well. Without graphics, I'd slant opposite to what I did.
@@mvboutdoors that makes sense
I bought a used ZODIAC and it's a BEAST. Love it.
@@chefpetey Awesome, what size?
Love my 33!! Thanks for sharing this Comparison!!
A tried and true classic for sure
Very nice!
Having a young CZcams Channel on my second attempt, your an inspiration man! Casual dad just doing what he loves and not trying to chase the dumb stuff! Thank you! Think this is roughly halfway through the serious
For fast setup. The way you want to do it, you need one with a dropstitch air floor.
@@GUNSLINGEROUTDOORS I agree 100%, I think an inflatable floor would make it way more convenient
That has come a long way! I like how you had your kids help you! my kids saw this and asked when they can help with ours now lol
Will these track mounts work for the hinge of a Bimini top? thanks again for your expert help!
In general yes but I would make sure to close it if you ride around. They are plastic so idk how much force they can withstand. Metal ones would hold up better if you ride around with it open
@@mvboutdoors Thank you very much.
How many pounds of coat it did you use? I’m fixing to do mine
I used about 1/2 the 8lb kit, more than enough
Enjoy your video's. You used Rustoleum on this boat. How is this holding up so far?
Thanks man, it held up really well. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Proper prep helps.
Great work
This reminds me of redoing my grandfather's old 17' duracraft. Such a great size and it's so nice knowing every inch of your boat.
a jig saw is way easier with the foam
I've tried jig saws before but the blades I've used have made a huge mess haha but they do cut well
Thank you!
Did you epoxy the top, sides, and bottom? Or the top and sides only?
Every side got epoxy
