Great work, HH! This game is a true grind. Being relatively new (45 days in), it’s hard to focus on where to grind between leveling champs & making food, while attempting to get decent gear from Dragon’s. All the while, torn on when to push Spider to get jewelry. And don’t forget the Arena to chip away at the Great Hall! And, oh yeah, doing it all with a limited roster of “do everything” champs. Easy to get paralyzed on where to spend that precious energy.

Hey Hell Hades, another great vid. I'm new to the game, about 30 days in, and your videos have been great for answering questions on how to min/max. I just wanted to mention that abilities coming from gear, like a Stun Set, don't require ACC from what I've read. I'm sure you're aware of this but many newer players may not be. If a gear set has an 18% chance to do something... if it procs, it lands 100% of the time since there's no Accuracy vs Resist check. Thanks and keep up the great work.
I'm entering end-game; I just finished my Arbiter missions this week, I'm nearly one-keying NM CB, and I still watched this all the way through. You never know where you will pick up on a useful tip.
I tried to bring my Arminger into Ice Golem and he got pulverized right away even though Mausoleum Mage is negative affinity, so now I'm looking over his gear again thinking how I can get him to survive to make his block revive useful for the boss.
Am building one myself for spider but looking at ice golem for the lay to rest ability, I'm guessing it all depends on gear, which is weighted so heavy in this game, struggle to find good gear myself.
Blair Crowding I wonder if his block revive will come into play much I haven’t seen someone use armiger there yet
Amiger will definitely help you in dungeons including ice golem.It helped me run ice golem 20, but you need the right gear with crit rate, defence and accuracy.

Omg I wish I would have seen this video 2 months ago when I FIRST started fiddling around with Raid!!! Just in the last 3 wks I’ve been really trying to LEARN the techniques and how to REALLY PLAY. I’ve wasted a lot of silver and never knew to do the daily’s etc.

ASDD yep it's is such a complex game when it comes to gearing. I just beat ice and dragons 20 4 months into the game low spender no Legos and the deciding factor was changing kael into an hp chest. Thanks HH couldn't of done it without you 🍻 Cheers mate

Excellent video with great information, even for a late gamer. I would like to ask though if you have a hard rule for how much crit rate % you are comfortable with to use crit damage gloves. Obviously you want 100% CR, but at what point from substats are you comfortable enough?

this is so helpful. Never got the difference b/w HP in dungeons vs. Def for CB. Which goes further (i.e. is more important) in Arena in general: HP or DF?
OK! I want to be honest here. The content is so useful for the focus on what gear to put on an exact champion. The gear is something else as let me explain. The game makes you pay fortune of silver when have a drop of gears to switch to your champions. and not to forget that you have to spend hours to have great drops of gears to be like equipped in your champions. It is a struggle as well for the force to sell a lot of 4* or 5* gears to be able to save the 6* that drop. 1300 gears while have like over than 7 section of gears type. It is tiny as should be like a way to max the slots like champ or vault slot to give us some life time peace. Game is way over loaded and although gems is easily earned in every month for f2p but gears is another q as you have to do a lot of time consuming on game to get the gears you need to. I had to stop the farm as need to save the energy to be couple of thousands so can do the dungeons dragon or spider farm. The gap is huge and any early game player will be so lost especially when know nothing about the sets is not that essentially at early game and more essential is the stats that each champion need and equip the gear that make the stats look fit for what target you want the champion to play. Struggle to early game is a huge thing and a lot started to quit for the silver lack and the energy with the switch gears millions cost. It is a way worse features that need to be edited and lower the cost. Sorry but had to say this as It is a real suffer.

This is some really great info regarding gear stats. However, for me anyhow, I find the struggle is more in acquiring the actual gear in the first place. Do you have any suggestions on effectively farming gear? Additionally, some confusion about when to prioritize using lower rarity gear or lower rank gear over higher simply because of stats. Also, do stats take priority over sets? Thanks so much for all of your incredible videos!
Regarding gear sets, it depends on the character you fit out, i got armiger and alure in broken sets since getting the right stats are more important, i would love to get armiger into crit damage sets, and alure into stun, but maxing the stats are more important. Farming is best done in level 20 dungeons, if you are not there yet watch some of HH videos on the afinity cup, he gets into it there.

It is perhaps worth mentioning that for a free to play or low spender player, it might be worth keeping gloves, chests and boots with flat stats - IF they have good accuracy and/or speed substats.
While principle of flat stats being worse than % stats for ATK/DEF/HP still applies it takes so much longer to achieve the optimal gearing because you have access to less resources.
Especially for the more hard-to-get sets, a FTP or low spender player should probably roll flat stat ATK/DEF/HP gloves/chest/boots - with accuracy and speed substats, up to 8, before they decide if they should vendor them or not.
I would recommend not rolling those gear pieces up to more than 12, and to replace them with %-stat pieces as soon as possible, but something to keep in mind. :)

Other times you might not use speed boots: bomb placing champions, or strategies involving Cardinal in the arena where she is going to revive everyone with full TM.

Is crit the only thing to build in damage or anything that increases damage is okay?
I have to collect gear apl over again i wasnt sure if i should build up rare gear so i got rid of alot and i realized alot of gear i had was bad because it didnt have asdd on them i try to get aleast 2 of them on my gear now man im so frustrated i feel like im never going to get it right
Regarding speed and the clan boss: I would take that advice with a grain of salt. If you are speed tuning, you may want to run certain champs at a slower speed than the boss to take your turn at a certain time, because the turn meter works on ticks and you are unlikely to be lapped unless you are much slower. :)
when I try to do accuracy then defense and speed go down, if I try and raise speed then defense and accuracy goes down. How can you get them all leveled at the same time ??.. normally I see speed 2 or 3.. lucky if I get speed at 4. how do you get them highter??

Question: I'm mid-game player and my clan just recently moved to Nightmare CB. According to your guide does it mean I need to stick to Brutal/Hard CB until I can achieve those benchmarks after farming better gear? Example: I use Occult Brawler as poisoner - he currently barely has Acc/Speed/Def for Brutal. If I swap my gear to achieve the correct accuracy I lose even more speed/def. My team currently can easily 2-key Brutal, but Nightmare requires 4-keys.
I run above the recommened speeds on my lineup for NM CB but defensive does not line up, how ever i have Valkryie and a decrease ATK champ. I hit for 18m (Apoth, Nethril, Valk, Tayral and Banshee)
A defence up champ might make you lat longer then me (Around 22 turns) but not as much dmg due to my counter attacks
Very informative video, how would you build for a newer player where getting 100% crit is possible but you end up getting a lot less crit damage. Which one should I be putting more of my focus on? Mainly looking at making my campaign farmer stronger so that I can level up champions to 60 faster. Thanks!
Crit is worth more than crit damage until 75%

hi hades sorry i dont understand and im trying to watch all your videos to get better , if a champ as 100 per cent of landing the like poison buff why do i need accuracy ? is the poison going to be harder or its just going to be the some like , less accuracy poison hits 10000 with more accuracy poison hits 20000. like bad al kazar he always put poison , why does he needs accuracy . im trying to understand , if you have time explain please.

Ok iam a bit confused. I have 260 ACC on my Occult Brawler in LifeSteal gear. And he lands his A1 poison like 2 out of 5 times... Iam currently 1 keying Brutal and Hard. Why i have more ACC than needed and still i kinda dont land that poison at all?

Hello Hades, I have a Question, (first and formost sorry for my bad Englich)
So To my Question. I curently want to make a Clan Boss team, Without Using any sort of Poison. (cuze i dont like the Poison Mecanic.)
So I curently can 2key Brutal with around 10milion a key. My main Damage Dealer is Turvolt. Raglin is in the mix for the revives. My Stagknight is the Att and deff down guy. My "tank" if you want to call it like this is Wurlim (for his ability to Keep the team with the Strengthen and Inc Deff Alive also his Crit Dmg up is nice for turvold aswell.
So no ty my Problem...i dont know which champion i should use for the 5th spot in the team...
My first idea was Skullcrusher for his counteratack.
The Next chemp that is sitting Bookt out in my vault for a long time would be Longbeard. He gives me the Option to build more dmg on my turvold (cause curently he has alot of acc to hit his Weaken) and has this Nice allie att skill

Great video but you need to pair this up with a guide for early game based on your Affinity Cup experience. Doing step 1: accuracy is impossible until you can do Stage 8 Spider consistently for the banners (not easy if you have no accuracy) and have invested a few accuracy levels in your Great Hall (not easy as arena for early game is impossible with all the inactive accounts as you yourself have noticed). You need to link this guide for new players on how to gear for Spider 8+ to farm the banners and how to build an early game Arena team (High Khatun, Spirithost, Warmaiden, Starter) which isn't ASDD: it's Speed set gear with Speed substats and farm Level 6 on Campaign. I don't think enough people know your trick you discovered of not farming 12-3 Brutal but farming earlier stages for the gear and for the champions instead.
I run dragon 25 for 2 months with 130 runs per day. I got a couple decent gears but the rolls a solutely sucked. Really frustrating.

Hi there hellhades. I was just wondering seeing your valk i think it was, for the second tine in a while with over 8k defense. I came across a graph and what it says is that you are capped at about 7.5k defense, mitigating about 85% of the incoming damage. You, with auras and buffs will be over 13k. What is it you know and think about this ?
Valk is an anomaly as her shield scales infinitely from defence. Usually 4I is a sweet spot

How I gear personally: Check the recommended gear and I gear around that. I don't need to match the gear, just what it recommends stats.

I just wish, when he does his champions spotlights, he would go thru every piece of gear on the champs and show what stats and rolls he has on them. I've got champs with almost all 6s gear, perfect main stats and substats all with acc/crit/spd/% and I don't come anywhere close to having the same total stats as he gets.
179 speed is actually the next tick rate, and is what I would consider to be the bare minimum requirement for dungeons, this of course doesn't matter if you're running someone with turn-meter buff. Something to keep in mind.
Is that all dungeons or lvl 20?
