This is an outstanding interview.
I'm typing this as I still watch. This man, Oleksly Goncharenko, is an outstanding spokesperson for Ukraine and the conflict.
I think you are very right- if Oleksiy survives, we will hear from him again. Really bright, passionate and well spoken for his position. Awesome voice. FR
@@fredericrike5974 Possibly even a future president of Ukraine.

Everything this man said was on point and 100% accurate IMO.

It's a shame this interview doesn't have more views. Goncharenko is inspiring, insightful and well-spoken.
My total disdain for Putin and his ambitions is absolute. His desperate attempts to survive and destroy the personal freedoms of others is a cancerous growth on humanity. He must be stopped. Oleskly speaks with genuine conviction.
Give this MP a medal! He is right in everything he said
What an absolutely outstanding man he is, to hear a politician speak so passionately about his Country, his people, is so inspiring........ maybe some Western politicians should take some lessons from this man.

Fantastic interview!! Excellent guest
The interviewer drilled him hard, but he answered every question like a true hero! Slava Ukraine!
Brilliant orator. Very moving speaker. "Losing thousands, not to lose millions"
Strong poweful interview thank you!!
What an astounding interview. I just want to salute the Ukrainians.
Thats an honest talk! Well done, Tim and Oleksey! Glory and victory to Ukraine!
Another brilliant interview from Tim S. and what a guest !! He speaks the truth of Ukraine ,, there is no choice, period.
This is a stellar conversation ,,, folks in American CNN can't do this, or I've not seen it.
This war converted millions of North Americans to European channels, this is a classic example of why.
Slava Ukraine !!
Oleksly Goncharenko is a very powerful speaker. very impressive guy. I hope he gets to ask his questions after Ukraine wins this war with putin and russia
Yes he wants to save Ukrainians. But there are more than 20 million still left in Ukraine
A thought; Particularly since last February, Zelenskyy has larger powers than normal, there have been two major and several smaller "retirements" and changes in their officialdom; there have been the usual innuendos and accusations about political maneuvering, yet Oleksiy says confidently, he will ask those questions. I think Zelenskyy is doing a little room cleaning while he can to hurry the EU membership he so devoutly seeks. By the time the shooting is over, Mr. Z will have plenty of people with old scores and be ready to hand young Goncharenko the keys to the thing. FR
@@fredericrike5974 The only house cleaning has been of collaborators and corrupt officials which have been brought to the attention of parliament, not instigated by Zelensky. For example a recent example of corruption was uncovered by Ukrainian journalists. I would expect this to continue after the war as Ukrainians would not forgive a return to the old ways of the oligarchs. Goncharenko has some followers but I think many view him as rather brash and a troublemaker. However there seems to be many young men in government who can take over the reins if Zelensky doesn't run again
@@barbarahesford5061 That is good to hear- Ukraine will need those sons of great heat and ambition to finish what has been only started- the really hard part begins after the Russians leave. They will need every Oleksiy Goncharenko they can find, he genuinely believes in democratic government, he questions the excesses he sees today intelligently and cogently- and I don't sense an "ideolog" in him. He seems a man who can make decisions based on the facts on the ground. And there are still many within even Ukraine's present government who are unsure of the way forward- some of them will loose out in this ongoing "weeding out" process. And Zelenskyy surely has a "finger or two" in this "fell hand'. FR
"Tyrants do not stop! They must BE stopped!" - Oleksiy Goncharenko
This man has the clarity of thought that few people will ever reach in their lives. Share this interview with anyone who doubts why we should support Ukraine.
no thank you, troll
"Russia will go as far as we allow it to go" - Vitali Klitschko
This guy needs a bigger reach. He speaks the truth. The west let them down, signed agreements and those countries turn their backs on them. Im glad my country Canada was the first in Ukraine to start training the troops in 2015. I just wish we could do alot more.
You and idi**s like you!!!! Its USA proxy war. Proud if what

Goncharenko is an incredible spokesperson for Ukraine and for Western interests. Great respect.
Goncharenko is a valuable spokesperson for Ukraine.
This broadcast needs to be heard repeatedly.
His insights to the war bring astonishing clarity to the forefront.
Ukraine must win for the sake of the future of the world.
Totally agree with the Ukrainians. we, the free world, need to give them what they need to defend and take back their land. We all know that this war is far more important than just Ukraines independents. 🇺🇦
you are idiotic if you think you are the "free world". The world is divided into two compartments; the erstwhile colonizers and the erstwhile colonized.
I want to thank that man from Ukraine for striking down the narrators attempt at bringing up a topic and serving up high moral dudgeon with it...Help These Honest People with this most difficult task of all...
My man, he's not saying cluster munitions are good, he's saying it's a line that the enemy has already crossed and Ukraine is unilaterally bearing the burden of not having it.
"But the convetion!! The convention!! They're so controversial!!"
I think it's human nature for those things matter a lot less when you're fighting for your lives. You can tell who has had the privilege of never having to deal with a situation like Ukraine's.
And they use skin melting white phosphorus all dropped down on entire cities from the airplane
The interviewer doesn't emphasize that bombing civilians, raping women, kidnapping children, bombing hospitals, schools and apartment buildings is very controversial too.
Isn't the issue with cluster munition that unexploded devices can much later kill civillians? If so they are mainly hurting themselves, assuming they get their territories back.
@@tbk2010 That's *_one_* of the issues, yes. And hence a reason for the Ukrainian general staff to use it carefully, if delivered.
Do we trust Ukraine's general staff? Personally, I do. I am very impressed. I think we've seen many proofs of their excellence. (But I am able to understand the opposite view too.)
He handled the difficult questions well.
This was absolutely the best and most to the point conversation within respect of Ukraine I agree with absolutely with this guest and respect his point of view with absolution!!!!!!
Wow...well said, I wish nothing short of victory for Ukraine
I've watched Conflict Zone for several years now, rarely have I seen. ..so rare I can't think of any...Tim's interjections be retorted in such a compelling manner that Tim accepts the majority, if not all, of the responses offered with little kickback, and even those kickbacks are empathetic.
Great episode
he's GREAT at keeping his cards well hidden ;)
YOU'll need a life time of watched interviews to be able to read this dude
I agree with your comment, had the same feelings as I watched.
Thanks for posting !!
Goncharenko! Excellent interview of an incredible spokesperson for Ukraine. The passion and conviction of someone that understands the war better then most. Couldn’t think of someone better to convince Europe to step up and fight for our collective freedom.
Excellent interview. I like his reasoning it's very logical and hopefully the west stop the fears of escalation and the the use of nukes. He is right what is the deference of dying from bullets, from chemical weapons or from nukes, it's the same. This man is a hero and I hope Ukraine will get peace they deserve and this man can be an excellent President if Zelenskyy steps down. SLAVA UKRAINE 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
yeah you hope ! meranwhile... the ukrainians will CONTINUE to do their job WITHOUT gen Milley ...just WELL !
IT WILL BE THE MILLEY himself in the end begging to cut the COSTS... and the ukrainians WONT listen
Another impressive Ukrainian politico perfectly expressing himself in English. I hope that Zelensky leads this team of young politicians into a lasting model democracy.
Goncharenko is from opposite political party then Zelenskiy. Roughly speaking Zelenskiy's party is American Democrats and Goncharenko's party is Republicans.
I think he was a bit of a firebrand before the war. Liked to challenge Zelensky on everything
@@shabanovorg It doesn't matter - at least for the moment. Their goal is mutual. Zelensky's following will increase at the end of all this and even the opposition will recognise his qualities. It's healthy to have strong opposition in a democracy. The people will decide who they vote for.
Right now, Zeleinskyy and Goncharenko are on the same side.
The first guest i watched not got butchered on this show. No sign that the host intended to be soft on him, he was just so sharp that nothing was offered for the host to bite on. On top, the sprinkles of human emotions made huge differences. Such a big contrast with those guests who can only repeat company lines without emotions except embarrassment on the faces of some of them.
Tim is always great at his interviews, no doubts. This case is different because Oleksiy isn't lying and always to the point. You can imagine e if he would lie the interview would looks different.
Exceptional interview.
Tim Sebastian a gem of journalism👌
He is very good. I watch almost everyone he does. I like his style and he asks tough questions.
Kind of a knob really with the asinine emphasis on cluster munitions.
@@percyfaith11 It´s his job in this case to challenge his guests with tough questions and get real answers and not smoke-bomb answers. It´s perfectly legitimate to ask why Ukraine wants to use those weapons that are banned by the Geneva convention - and the answer was equally legitimate.
@@philipkoene5345 Tim knew that It was appropriate for the Ukrainians to use the cluster munitions. Asking it in the manner he did and emphasizing it was journalistic theater.
BTW, it's not that Geneva Convention that addresses the use of cluster munitions.
If you're anti colonial, you must support Ukraine.
thats a big IF ;)
Dang to coherently speak freely on that level of deep insight, is just out of the ordinary.

Amazing Interview. This exchange was both articulate and incredible. No nonsense but hard facts and pragmatic approaches to the situation. In particular in regards to the events of 2014, this is a question we all should be asking. Some more than others to be sure.
100% correct about the future of nuclear non-proliferation being wholly dependent on restoration of Ukraine's borders.
You mean North Korea and Iran are waiting for Ukraine!!!!!!!

I thank Conflict Zone for giving Oleksiy Goncharenko the opportunity to state his case in defence of Ukarine and it's people. Outstanding young man with passion for what he knows and believes. Feb. 24 he realized " I had two choices, run or stand and fight ".
For Ukraine, as Churchill said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” “If ur going through he**, keep going.” And one more Churchill quote, “Attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference.” Hang in there Ukraine. Finnaly someone who is from Ukraine and knows the history as it is. A lot of 'experts' from the West only look to 2014 and think that's the starting point. The fighting between Ukraine and Russia go's back a lot longer.
Exactly, for hundreds of years.
My mom's family is from Ukraine, so I've heard stories about Russia's jackboot going back quite a ways. And stealing washing machines isn't anything new, Russian armies were always marauders, especially on their satellite territories.
@@BlackEpyon There's sadly a lot of revisionism among much of the Ukrainian diaspora, especially when it comes to events surrounding WWII, as even many Ukrainian historians have noted. It's important to approach all accounts carefully for truth, accuracy, and judicious reasoning.
@@hermanwooster8944 Really? Do share an example please. That's a lot of big words to say "Ukrainians are lying". I'll ask my entire family across 3 cities in Ukraine how many WWII stories they made up.
@@AlinaVossArt Sure, I'll give an example. Some diaspora publications omitted the 3rd section of the 1941 _Act of Restoration of The Ukrainian State_. This was the section in which Stepan Bandera and Yaroslav Stetsko promised that the new Ukrainian state would work closely with "Greater Germany" which they claimed was building a new order for the world and Europe.
To be clear, I'm _not_ saying all diaspora Ukrainians are liars. Far from it - there are many diaspora and non-diaspora Ukrainian historians who openly discuss these points, and I find their work to be invaluable. But there are also some in the diaspora community who openly laud Ukrainian forces who fought for the Germans. Several monuments dedicated to such collaborationist forces have even been erected in the West, namely in Canada and the UK by Ukrainian diaspora. For this reason, I worded things quite carefully and suggested looking at all of the evidence because truth should be the goal, not lauding or denouncing groups.
Great politician and man.
Brilliant dialogue. Hats off to Ukraine's MP's vision, grit, bravery, courage!
Goncharenko is perfect.
I think I was watching the future president of the Ukraine just now. Goncharenko is a very impressive human being.
