With the advent of AI, you gotta make a remake of this. I just got this video recommended and it's something I've been thinking about for a while. The title is perfect.
We're living in a freak mix of The Matrix, They Live, 1984, while steadily turning into Idiocracy.
I want to laugh at that but I think I'll cry.
Yeah, there's so many movies pointing at the issue, the list is huge!
It goes way back to a time before movies too, like Plato's - The Cave....it seems it's a story as old as time, a neverending story, one might say.
And it's not going anywhere.....
@@paulcurran4786 odd to think. But what if we just never learn. A never ending cycle, some with memories of it try to warn us of not going down the path of computers.
Yet the idea of technology always intrigues us as humans to push further, discover more. Only leading to greed, lethargic behavior, and unfortunately our own demise.
However even things like movies that could be used to instill this warning, drive us to fulfill that urge even more.
Who knows
@@TerraFilmTV Yeah, i wasn't really talking about computers/technology. I see those as only the modern day backdrop that the Wachowskie's used to get their point across.
There was no computers/technology in Plato's allegory of the cave, or in the other 3 movies @BSIII mentioned.
The computer/technology issue is only a symptom of the greater problem......
Absolutely, evolution at its finest 😐 the worst part is that at least a 4th of the worlds population knows that, one way or another, and still going with the flow

I was today years old when I found out Andy Warhol single-handedly invented Mukbang….
The reason this movie was so popular was because it gave people the feeling that , yes, there is something very wrong with the world. People had felt for a very long time, a feeling that our world was somehow doomed and not what it seemed. Admittedly, that feeling in part was a product of other media we had all consumed..
Now, a quarter century later, the grip of media influence has loosened, and the internet has become a serious threat to the people who were in charge of what we thought. Now you are in charge of what you think.
It also made people realize that what they feared thus hated , COULD be defeated, but then it showed too that while that fight is crucially _important_ , it would ONLY be won at GREAT COST . Basically its up to US , and we (most of us) aren't interested . Remember, ~200 years ago - only III% of the original colonists stood against the overpowering authority of the time, the most important world power on the planet . We prevailed but only at GREAT cost . While some are busily 'shrooming and toking their lives away, SOME have chosen to unplug from that Matrix .
Also in the past people had access to bookstores and libraries. So you were also in charge of what you think like in the 1950ties.^^
@@tomswan3401 Which were far superior to the majority of crap on the internet. You have time to think about what you're interested in in a library or bookstore. On the internet it's mainly one algorithm after another at the click of a mouse.

Having been a young adult in the 1990's I would have never realized that the dystopian future was already at the doorstep. 😮
I know right!
I'm probably from your age group, America was still in it's golden age. in the 90's I watched all the school psychologists observing mainly the kids with divorced parents like myself, i noticed those kids had similar issues too me. I noticed how burned out teachers already were when I got there, and I felt like there was this enormous enslaving like pressure to become a doctor, like my dad, at like age 8, despite barely average grades from barely being able to focus (then they wanted to medicate). Trauma at home = not focusing at school in short. I was obviously miserable feeling like a prisoner, and I saw most of the population miserable back then, adult professionals especially, cops were miserable, my parents, and thought, something isn't right, and there is no way the world is going to make it like this with a 50% divorce rate, homelessness, etc. I smirked over the identity crisis, the kids at school mimicking the outfits, but as I explored the first film especially I was pretty blown away once I understood it; and I especially understood it when I started to work for corporations!

The matrix was not created by the wachowskies. A black female author wrote the matrix books 1 and 2, and wrote the terminator 1- 4 stories 30 years prier to the films. The wachowskies and jamaes cameron stole her content. She sued them for $2 billion., hollywood stays quiet. The majority of directors in hollywood are talentless. The director of the village movie M night shyamala with jaquin pheonix, stole the idea from a female author called magaret haddix who wrote the book running out of time which is identical to the film. His other movie life of Pi was ripped off from an indian childrens book author who grew up in the same part of idea as he did. The matrix is nonsense anyway. Its just religion repackaged into new age philosophy. If you look at Neos long black coat he wears, it looks very similar to the catholics popes uniform.

I agree with the poster that was late with dinner... this is some 'get sucked in' type of deep diving, mind mapping brilliant work.
Thank you so much glad you enjoy it so much. Hope you like some of my other videos and future works
I truly think we are living in the most interesting time in human history. The internet allowing tbe whole world to connect and grow changed everything
Even though it wasn't a scene by scene analysis of the movie, this is probably one of the best insights out there and is pure gold.
Part 3 should scare us all, but alas most of us have chosen the blue pill.
Nice touch with "clubbed to death". Took me down memory lane
This channel infuriates me because the production value, the script, the topics ect. are of SUCH high quality, yet this channel has less than 15K subscribers! You've earned my subscription thats for sure, keep up the good work!
Thank you!
There are so few movies with content that can emotionally engage me so much that I get chills from them for 1 reason or another, that I can count them on 1 hand, but Matrix has such a big hidden message that it just needs to play the main title track and I already have chills from that moment. Its not a perfect movie, but its a so great movie, that changed the view of many people in the society on the whole civilization and even the legal system in some states and thats something realy rare in the cinematography history.
couldnt agree more. It transcends film and becomes a landmark of sorts..
*Would definitely like to see you make a video on the movie "They Live" to hear your perspective on it. Now that's another beast of a documentary about this world.*
I think Rowdy Roddy Piper said that the movie They Live is actually a kind of documentary it self.
Watching Akira in the theater when it came out was a mind blowing experience ❤
Holy crap dude, this is so well done :O. Definitely took the Subscribe Pill on this one!
Fantastic share, brother. So very thought-provoking. Subscribed.
Thanks so much!!
1:30 thanks for showing 90s KeloLand. My childhood unlocked.
Doug Lund on the evening news!
one of the most important documentaries of all time
I never realised how unlikely it was for The Matrix to get greenlit and how lucky we are to have been able to see it.
I was shocked when i saw you only had 12k subs. Excellent production and excellent hosting here. great doc!!
Thanks man! Hope I grow more with time

You're an incredible documentary host/maker. Please make more, you got talent man. Liked and subscribed.
Incredible Documentary! Eye-opening! Instant sub! 👍👍
I was there. I worked in Colonial (south) building, while the action sequences for the chopper and the bullet-time dodge were being filmed up on Colonial (north) building in Sydney. So much of Sydney is reflected in that movie, and I feel grateful to have been a part of that era; even seeing the Sydney streets where Neo gets into the car and the long-time construction of World Square in the background. Some have said that Sydney was chosen as the backdrop for The Matrix as Chicago has vaguely similar scenery and looks. I didn't like that Aussie actors had to use yank voices though, I thought that was quite demeaning. Thanks for making this and for it to take 2 years to get to my feed.
I was an extra on 2-3. I was originally cast as a stand in, cut my hair off between casting and filming, and got relegated to the extra ranks. Spent a lot of time on several sets. We often sat around for 2 or 3 days waiting for the call out, get the call, do a few takes or rehearsals, get called to go to lunch, that was the days work.
It was pretty hard to work out what the story line was, as they mixed up the filming sequences so yu had no bloody clue. It was a lot of fun but. I got on screen a few times, but they dimmed the lighting in the movie, and im in the shadows mostly. Had yarns with a few of the main actors. Fishburne is a hectic dude. Im in a couple of scenes with him, but yu hardly see me. In one scene im sitting next to roy jones jr (hes also a cool dude) at the war council, yu can see him clear as day and im in the bloody shadows. Lol. 😆😁.
I got busted looking at the directors monitors after each reset.
They even told me off for acting, or more to the point over acting.
I said oh if im actually acting am i, shouldn't i be getting actor rates instead of extras rate. I got a good laugh out of that, but naa, sadly never got no pay rise.
I was watching where the camera was going and where the action was, to makes sure i got on screen.
They figured me out i reckon, cause i did get on screen a few times, the only time yu can see me clearly bugger it, is my friggin hand ffs. Fmd, there went my dreams of bein the next Mel.
lol funny story, thanks for sharing.
Sounds Terrible
It’s a documentary once you realize that you are the architect of the matrix.
What it do then 😂

@@handrias001yup. Let it go and it will come back to you.
OK Leah...now that you're here...what ya gonna do?🤔🙂
Huh? I didn't create this horseshit prison, that was more likely the demiurge and the Archons. I'm leaving this shit behind for the Pleroma. Peace out!
5 minutes in and this is fantastic, very distinctive! I'll be taking notes thanks
Great Content! Perfect Length, fantastic quality and relevance.
As for seeing The Matrix when first released.... First, I HAD to see the movie to see how the story could justify people jumping off of Skyscrapers... after seeing it at the theater.... I left work early the next day and went to see it again, you know- had to make sure the story was intact and bullet proof, cuz Couldn't rewind and pause. What a Gem.
Movies released in 1999 which also include soundtracks by Massive Attack, is a study in itself
If you enjoy the video please leave a like and comment your thoughts!
Hey I'm not in the numerology or you know coincidence matrix whatever but my favorite number is 17 and I left a comment trying to be the 117th... Anyways it said 11 (_)🤦🏻♀️ and for some reason that's been like in the top three for days now and these people have over a million subscribers like wtf??
, thanks for this video. I just wanted to add hat the original author of the Matrix and Terminator movies was Sofia Stewart. And I believe she didn’t receive any royalties etc for those movies. And by the way, both the Matrix and Terminator are the same movie. Just different time frames. Thought you might enjoy a bit of trivia.
Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed. I urge you to research further into that. Its not true in the slightest. @@matthewcastillo9951
videos only 45 mins, doesnt need a fuck ton of adds
I dont have control of the ads. The video is demonetized on my end@@mcdanielsslaughterground7920
You are so talented, the way of curating, thinking through, aesthetic feeling, timing, implementation of music. Just awesome, please go on making films like this. You can get Million followers if you just keep on doing stuff like this. Probs
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your words. I will continue thats a promise
Akira & Ghost in the Shell were game changers in the cyber punk genre & set the benchmark in Sci Fi cinema forever....They were simply incredible for there time
They were and they still hold up so well today!
@Alchemy2.0 Definitely brilliant for their time, and still solid now. 👍
wow what a document is your video! Thanks for gathering allthis concept and making a great Combo!
computers had abbreviated dates because in the old days storage was scarce. just felt the need to expand on this.
Shout out to anyone else that was raised and bred on all the anime and kung fu flicks that inspired the matrix and came out before it.
