The mod got some improvements and now the DLC bosses work as well. I also added Esther Winchester without plane as a bonus. In my previous video the fight didn't work properly, but works now too. I know its too make it quicker and doesn't impact the game otherwise but I quite liked when in the last video when he had to take forced damage and problem solved when the enemy was on or attacked from the left
right when I read that, Cuphead just faced to the left and I was so confused

Airplanes do more damage than on ground levels, that’s why the bosses here end shorter. Also the airplane bosses have more health than ground bosses that’s why the airplane has more damage.

I think I’ve heard that some where before but still a cool fact
It probably does more damage because the plane has a faster fire rate that most of the regular shots.
Why do plane bosses have more health? My theory is its game design wise, its easier to position yourself in a plane to effectively damage the boss, so boss health goes up to compensate.

Honestly don't really get why the Rook wasn't a plane boss like it's a Castle why not have it be a big hulking castle that you have to parry off of?

Esther’s fight just looks like Cuphead/Mugman/Ms Chalice are running really fast to catch up and defeat Esther

I like how he always used different boss healthbars, I find this one better because it tells you how much more hits you have to do
3:11 this is taking the term "dogfight" in another level
If you remove the plane on the bottom in The Howling Aces it would kinda be a good fight with plane, but the last phase would be really easy
Also if Esther Winchester wasn't always moving, had less health, and made the attacks more suitable for the bottom of the screen it would probably be a good boss on the ground

Interesting how all the chess pieces get knocked out except the pawns. Their soul leaves their body implying they actually die. Because we’ll they’re just pawns. No one cares if they live or die now do we?
I mean the cow also dies in her knockout animation but the credits show her perfectly fine
And we see giant Saltbaker got shattered yet he was fine in the ending.

What if you kill the snail director before the Anteater boss fight?
They will die instantly because it's the stage that has the life. I mean, when they reach their life threshold they change the phase.
I believe hitting the snail before the anteater starts attacking will damage the anteater, not the snail
Esther with no plane makes me appreciate the existence of the plane a lot more

Wow. Cuphead turning left in plane mode is cursed. Anyway I decided for kicks and giggles to look at which bosses would fit in a plane setting and well… they are as follows:

As for the King’s Leap, the bosses that would fit are the Rook and the Bishop.
most ground level bosses dont really work as good airplane bosses, but esther worls pretty well as a ground one if her moves were slightly twraked
The Angel is my favorite boss despite he can’t harm you. I just like hearing him laaaa

Much cooler if the plane is a helicopter (because it's really weird if your just riding a plane in mid-air while you fighting a regular/land boss)
Imagine just going on ground and using boomerang shot to hit the angel
it's a very good idea I thought it could be done with the tracker but it's with the boomerang and if someone made a mod to hit the angel without it changing you could hit it
also with ex-attack Of the charge shot type

I never realized until today that the steak homes in on you. I just assumed I was misjudging the loop.
Third phase with Anteater is actually Mr Chimes but better when it comes to dodging the fight cloud/snot Anteater spits.
Still surprised that the Howling Aces is Plane stage but its not in typical sense?
Imagine how the Howling Aces would look like of that was actual plane stage (because secret phase transition gives that vibe).

Planes are the highest dps in the game, 40/s or with chalice around 44/s
also when it goes above the rook it still takes damage to mr rook
