Guess which group NEVER gets laid off, NEVER faces a salary cut, NEVER has to worry about receiving their six-figure salaries? Hint: they are the group with the LEAST impact on education; most never even see actual students except at ceremonies.
Answer: DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION. Cuts should start at the TOP, not at the classroom level.

Keep in mind here that this superintendent was put in place by the state after they "determined" that the whole Houston ISD was failing and needed to be put under direct state supervision.
This superintendent is a tool of Greg Abbott. As such, should we really be surprises that he is so corrupt?

He carried himself as if he was Napoleon, and as for the school district, it was reflection of himself a total mess!
This Guy should go to Federal Prison for what he has done. Currently, Superintendents' that get into trouble, pretty much get a free meal ticket by resigning, and they even get to leave with their pay, and other fringe benefits. The Houston Chronicle reported this last year. "State-appointed superintendent Mike Miles has spoken with more than two dozen elected leaders during his time running Houston ISD, including the top officials in the state: Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, according to the district.
Miles was appointed in June to run the largest school system in Texas by Education Commissioner Mike Morath, an Abbott appointee, who imposed a state takeover on the district, as required by state law, due to long-running academic and special education failures in Houston."
Now Abbott won't call a special session to fund TX Public Schools and says that it's Dems fault because they wouldn't pass his corrupt school voucher bill which would make this kind of fraud easier to do! Paint the whole picture! Abbott is in on this!
