Saw this on tiktok and was blown away by it. I love the style and movement. I love the big brother energy from Dabi and the utterly chaotic car ride. I love the blush when he's talking to Hawks! Taking enjis card. AND TWICE AND SHIGARAKI. ALL OF IT. I LOVE EACH LITTLE DETAIL. I think gif is my new favorite animatic of all time.

Y’all ain’t recognizing how good the CINEMATOGRAPHY is. Every single scene is shot so well and the angles are so good! The overhead shot going over the car and showing it upside down from the back? SO CLEVER. You seriously know what you’re doing and you’ve made an incredibly well-animated and entertaining video. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a storyboard for a CalArts student.

Okay, you have to admit, even though he is an absolute menace he can parallel park like a boss.
This close to the end of the series... with what happened to Dabi... This actually hurts in the most bittersweet of ways. This aged PERFECTLY... because at the end Denji felt regret. And this is a window into what could have been. And it hurts how beautiful they could have become. Shouto could have had someone that TRULY understood his rage and hate, someone that could have helped him release his stress and teach him things about the world. They could have been BROTHERS.
And it hurts that they never got that chance. Beautiful and so well done that it amazes me. You know you make something great when it only becomes MORE impactful as time goes on.

Assuming this is an AU where Enji and Rei did a better job as parents (and Shoto and Toya look the way they do to still be recognizable), I totally see a more mentally stable Toya be that rebellious oldest child that exasperates his parents and teachers at all stages in life, baffles them by still getting good grades somehow and suddenly turns into a well-adjusted, successful adult by his mid-twenties, with no one entirely sure when and how that happened.
I love how he just looks at Shouto fondly in the last scene, but not even seconds later has the most ' menace to society ' energy ever! XD
